• How to copy a selection without moving the entire image?

  Once I selected a part of an image, I try to use the move (with the ALT key) tool to copy the selection into another image.  But the movements of the whole picture and not only the selection.  What I am doing wrong?

  If you still use the selection tools when you try to move the contents of a selection, it will simply move the selection. If you want to move the content, use the tool move (but be aware that the default action is to cut; use Opt (Alt on Windows) to copy the selection by dragging).

  Have you tried layer for copy or Edit > paste special > paste in Place or edit > paste special > paste into it or just edit > paste?

  There is an extension named ' Copy As HTML/RTF. The name is pretty self explanitory. I got it in the Update menu by including 3rd party plugins.

  V5.6.1 pages is not equipped to treat the same guides on all pages in a document. You will need to manually place on each page of the respective leaders, and because they are on a separate layer on the foreground and background objects, you cannot select/copy/paste or move to Section Master, or anywhere elsewhere in the document. Positioning guide will survive in a registered design, although the leaders have to be re-processed in the view menu.

• In Excel 2007, copy the conditional formatting cells is very slow

  I've just upgraded to Excel 2007 (SP 2) since 2000 in the hope that it would be faster.  I have a large spreadsheet consisting of a database of about 5000 lines and a number of leaves each grids showing cells of 7 x 7 with conditional formatting in each cell.
  In 2000, I had to stop automatic recalculation.  In 2007, the recalculation is much faster, but when I created a piece of copy and past cells 7 x 7 with their conditional formatting, it is very slow and eventually is short-term memory.
  I am running XP service pack 3 on processor 1.6 ghz with 1.9 GB of ram.
  Any suggestions?

  This happens usually when you select multiple files, and you accidentally release the key Shift or Ctrl, according to what you want; or a brush accidentally any other key on the keyboard while holding one of these keys. Both cause the same effect - Windows think that you released the multiple selection key and product to start the copy.

  I have dozens and dozens of Disney films to digital copy in DRM'd WMV format that I downloaded from the packs of Disney DVD/Blu Ray / Digital Download that I bought.  They play fine on Windows Media Player on Windows 8 Pro.  But there is no media player everywhere where they will play on the Surface RT. I think it was very bad judgment and taste do not include Windows Media Player with Windows RT.  Before purchasing a program to remove the DRM and convert the file format, I have no way to watch the movies I paid for and legitimately possess as digital copies on my RT of Surface. The #1 reason why I bought a Surface RT was so that we can watch movies on the go. I'm really disappointed in the experience of the RT and the value for money.   The short answer is probably never. Surface RT doesn't have a license to play DRM content, so unless Microsoft Gets a license, you will not be able to play your DRM WMV files... or can you?

  Basically, you need to download a DRM remover, run it and transfer it to the surface. It explains how to convert the format of WMV to mp4 say however, there are enough apps in the store play WMV files that you shouldn't have to be converted if you do not want. With respect to the transfer to the surface, personally, we use Skydrive, but you can use any method you want. In addition, you do not have to use the Remover suggested in the article, now that you know that they exist, you can search and find your own.

  Here's a breakdown of what I am wanting to do... any guidance would be appreciated!

  2. the user will execute a script that will do the following...

  OK, so I got it away square to where the art jury moves selected items. Someone else wrote the code to move the jury art to the selected items, and I modified to fit my needs.
