Copy of user (account of clone)
In Windows 7, I have a single user account configured with all the settings I want. I want to create several other user accounts and use the account as a base - clone or on behalf of user current as a model for other user accounts.
Is there an easy way to do this?

Copy programs to several user accounts
I have copied MS word and excel links from the Office to my user account, but when I go into one of the other accounts I am more able to find these applications to create shortcuts on the desktop (or even access) products. It is possible that I moved the entire application on the desktop of a user account and I'm no more able to bring him back or access it from other accounts.
Any ideas how to fix?
It seems that you install instead of a single account for all accounts on the system. For some programs, there is an option ask this during installation (I don't know if this applies to the office or not, but I thought that this was the case). In any case, there is an easier solution than uninstalling and reinstalling Office assuming that could fix things.
In any case, here's how to solve the problem. I don't know if you'll be able to do both for the whole office or if you must do this for each individual request, but anyway, this should work to get access to all users of the system. http://www.Dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-share-programs-with-other-users-in-Windows-.html I'm not sure if this is going to create shortcut icons - so you may need to create shortcuts in any of the added accounts (using the new information and not the information the account alone who works first) and then you can copy this set of shortcuts for other user accounts (if necessary - it can do it automatically - I'm not sure and just wanted to cover all bases).
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

How can I copy the user created in the administrator account?
Hello
I would like to ask what can I do? When I installed Vista Home Premium on my computer, I created another user account! I have configured my PC how I like it! With all the parameters that I need (research, programs, etc...) I don't want 2 user account, but I can't remove the administrator one! (Now, it's empty, nothing about this)
So, how can I copy all my settings, remove the user and a user account?
I hope I was understandable! :)
Good day!
Hi Muzsika,
I don't know what you mean, so I'll just say what I think is your problem, and then respond.
Problem: I have a standard account I have all my files in and have customized this account. I have an administrator account that I don't use. Because I can't remove the administrator account, I would copy the standard account for the administrator account and remove the standard account.
The answer is: change the standard account to an administrator. account, and then delete the other admin account.
How to change an account type to administrator: (necessarily using the account admin.)Open a user account by clicking on the button start , clicking Control Panel, clicking user accounts and family safety, click user accounts, and then clicking on manage another account. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Click on the standard account and then click on change the account type.
Select the type of account you want, and then click on change the account Type.

No matter how many user accounts, I create when I connect to one other user (c:\users\xxxxx) records still show a padlock. My computer was preinstalled and I want to copy the original profile to a new profile of the user.
Here is a small utility that works perfectly on Windows 7. The article and the forum have answers for the GRAY "Copy To" button to copy profile.

Unable to connect to my user account
During a double internal SSHD + Mac Mini HARD drive, I have an installation from a week of el capitan, where the BONE is in the main SSHD and users and the data is stored in a 1 TB Hybrid HDD.
Every day I do a clone carbon copy of each internal drive or separate external drives more a machine time for a third drive just in case.
Also in case something goes wrong with the second internal drive and free access, I created a second user with administrator privileges with its details of account, stored in the main SSHDD.
Last night suddenly got a message"you can not connect to the"XXXXXX"user account at this time. Account login failed because an error occurred.
Now, whenever I try to login, I get the same message. The only way I can access the Mac is through the additional admin user, but of course I can't access my files.
When I try to do a restore from time machine (I used a 2 hours before fact) she does not offer me the choice to divide catering to both the principal and secondary HARD disk I did on the disc more HARD high school and still the same cannot connect problem repeated.
Then, I made a carbon copy of the two-disk clone respectively internal external to their SSHDD and the HARD drive and got the same failed to connect in the message.
Is it possible to be able to again access to my account or just try to save it on my library of 120 GB and start with a fresh install?
I'm afraid that this disaster could repeat again and maybe the best solution is to replace the main SSHDD with one of larger size, store on my user account and just use the seconday HARD drive to store the photo library?
Any help please!
Looks like maybe a bad connection or a bad Ribbon on one of the drives cable.
What year model is the Mac Mini... ?
The Mac Mini initially came with two disks or you use a double ribbon cable kit disc...?
FWIW, I ran a double disk configuration non-fusion (a small SSD and a Hitachi 7200 RPM HARD drive) in my end of 2012 for a time and it worked pretty well. I've never had a problem, but he did grow old two backup discs and I therefore ended up going just a big SSD.

Why Firefox 33.1.1 requires a prior user account control dialog box of the load?
I can't stop FF to require that the dialog box controls user account until it loads. I uninstalled and reinstalled a clean copy, what worked the first time and then restored the UAC dialog on subsequent startups. It's incredibly annoying. It's never happened before with FF. How to stop this behavior? I'll stop using the Goner program if it cannot be repaired.
Make sure that Firefox is not set to run as administrator.
Right click on the desktop Firefox shortcut and choose "Properties".
Make sure that all items are disabled in the tab "Compatibility" in the Properties window.- Privilege level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
- "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" must not be selected
Also check the firefox.exe program properties in the program Firefox (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) folder.
If you can't make the changes, then you must start Windows Explorer as an administrator. -

Right now I have about 6 window user accounts (just for me on a single computer) because I didn't know I could put more Firefox then one per account. I leave the tabs upward when I close Firefox, because if I just bookmarks I won't finish my work I was doing with these sites. Now that I know how to put multiple Firefoxes under a user account. That would make my computer fast or not, it matter if I put all my Firefoxes on a window user account or have 6 windows user accounts, each with their own Firefox?
-Thank youIt is more work to move to a different Windows account and then open another instance of Firefox with a different profile.
If you only use other windows accounts for the use of Firefox like this and not for any other purpose, then there is nothing against the passage to a single Windows account to make it easier to manage such things as the backup of your personal data or copy data between the other profiles. So, it's up to you if you want to switch to a single Windows account.

Migration of PC now I have two user accounts. How can I transfer everything to a user account
I've migrated from PC to iMac, and now I have two user accounts. How can I just well mover a user account and then delete the second user account.
A user account is one that you created in the Setup Wizard when you have got a Mac. The second he the user account you migrated your PC. If you used the same username for both, then you can simply copy the files from one to the other. If the user names are different, then see: transfer of files from one user to another account.

Cannot remove the old user account (admin)
I'm on a MacBook Pro 15 "the retina with OS X Yosemite 10.10.5.
I have two admin accounts, an 'old' I do not use and a more current that I use.
I want to delete the 'old' admin account, but I get an error message: "cannot delete user... account error backup in the home folder for this user."
Here are the steps I followed:
1. System Preferences-> users and groups
2. click on unlock icon; authentication with username and password
3. click on the 'old' user account and click on the button "-" to remove it.
4. Select the option "save the home folder in a disk image", then click on remove the user
5. for the moment, he says 'delete account '.
6 then I get the error message.
I know that I could choose the second option (in step 4), but I really want to move the old files of the user users users/Deleted.
Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated
The first thing that comes to mind is the following: is there enough room for the disc to be created image and put in files? The files are not moved from the reader to the disk image, they are copied. Then for a time in the account to be deleted files will be on the computer two times. The second thing that comes to mind is that there is a directory of the hard drive problem. If you do not have enough space and is my first problem, start the recovery partition and use the directory of disk to repair the drive. And the third thing that might be the cause of the problem is a bad file that cannot be copied to the disk image. It will be difficult to understand because basically, you will need to open each file to find the one that is perhaps incorrect.

replacement of my user account
A genius on the Apple store recommended I have create a new main user account and empty the former, in order to escape a lot of general slowness that is limited to my main user account. He didn't tell me exactly how to proceed. My question is how to ensure that the new user has access to all my documents, music, photos, and applications, while leaving behind any corrupt software slowing down my computer.
Migration Assistant that?
The slowness is particularly noticeable when searching - in the Finder, Spotlight and especially by post. I tried to Spotlight stop indexing and then re - index, several times. The computer can get sluggish in many functions of Finder as well.

Cannot create a new user account
Hello and good evening,
I have a laptop HP Pavilion I've had for about a month. I was creating a HP recovery disk. As I didn't have the right amount of available disks, I cancelled it. The next time I went to do the same thing, there was a message in the HP support assistant saying that the recovery disk was no longer available. So I created an image of the system in case I ever needed to recover my OS. It was stored on drive C. I copied and pasted into the recovery d drive [I don't know if you can do].
Anyway, some things have changed after I created the image of the system. The C: disk OS folder has been renamed Windows C:.
I felt a little uncomfortable about the whole, so I thought that I create another user account. Hoping that this would also restore my HP Recovery disk.
In any case, I went to do this and all seems to be OK, install applications and so on, until he came to a blue screen that says "Please wait". He remained on the screen for about 2 hours, after which the battery was flat. I repowered it and he started upward. He returned the same screen. I took the battery and plugged a USB based recovery disk. This led me to the Welcome screen, and I could log into my original user account.
I'm not game to try again to create another user account in case something terrible happens and it does not restart.
What should I do?
1. create another user account give back me my recovery drive originalHP?
2 could have another go to make him a corruption on my hard drive?
I don't know if it's an HP or a problem of Windows 8, so I posted both.
I hope someone can help
Chris
Hi jcdck,
I see that you have some problems with your recovery disk. Create a new user account won't get your recovery disk. The same file structure will be implemented regardless of the user account. You should not generally be copy or save anything on the recovery disk.
You should be able to restore your PC to factory settings , but you need to back up personal files on an external drive or burn to a CD. It might not get your recovery back disc because this isn't the Windows function of HP.
Your only other option is to order the recovery CD for your model. If you can provide me with your product number I should be able to get your link to order. Are which country you located?
Thank you

Problem in opening and running LabVIEW in separate user account
Hello
I would like to create a 2nd user account on my computer in the laboratory that has LabVIEW 2011 installed on it. However, when I try to open LabVIEW in the 2nd user account there is an error code 1 and another message complaining about some dialogue 3 button VI.
I found that I can still continue by clicking OK, except that now I can't start my VI, where I copied over my 1 user account. I get attached errors, including one that seems to be complaining of Simple error handler in my VI which runs at the end of my program error messages. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix the errors?
Help, please!
Thank you!!!
Hi Vrinkle,
LabVIEW is usually installed in "C:\Program files (x 86) \National Instruments\LabVIEW xxx ', where"(x 86) "is the version of LabVIEW application for a 32-bit version of LabVIEW on a Windows 64-bit and"xxx"brand (year)." In this folder you will find subfolders "vi.lib", "instr.lib" and "user.lib" - all the rights granted to your new user account need to access these files (like all the others those of LabVIEW file)!
BTW. display your serial number on a public forum is not the best idea...

User accounts and administrator
I have re-installed Windows XP Prof and created a 'User' account to use on a daily basis. The majority of the programs installed, but both programs are not installed (However, their setup.exe files are in the right folder).
By installing programs again (when they already exist in the account 'Administrator') face double the size of file on the space of hard drive, is it just 'copy' the additional program without occupying additional disk space or am I misunderstood something?
Of course I won't be able to explain the shortcuts and other nuances.
Uninstall the program under each account.
Reset.
Check the free space on the C drive (note it.)
Install under the same account.
Check the free space on the C drive (note it.)
Reset.
Install under a different account.
Check the free space on the C drive (note it.)
Compare the three digits.
Your question is better suited to manufacturers of applications. How they install / where they install is totally under THEIR control. Perhaps the 'setup', you saw for Kingsoft was simply to copy specific things in the new user profile in use for customization of this user, or maybe it really is installed in all records profile of this specific user every time: no idea - it is not a Microsoft product, and Microsoft has no say on how or where they set up almost anything.
