  • How can I get Vista "Windows Mail" to check mail using my connection local (LAN) internet?

How can I get Vista "Windows Mail" to check mail using my connection local (LAN) internet?

It allows only wants to "connect" using dial-up, wireless or wired ISP (type PPP) requiring a UID and password, of which none seem to allow me to select a LAN (ISP) simple (without a password).

I know that the Ethernet connection works Ok, because I can use it with a standard Web browser; only the mail tool can't seem to see or use.

Whenever I tell the Windows Mail email 'Send and receive', he wants to 'connect' for remote access or one of his three choices (listed above and direct exclusion of any connection to the local network).  It works with remote access, so once I have spend that I should be Ok. but I can't make it work directly.

    Help.

In Windows Mail, go to select Tools, accounts, your account email, properties, connection.  It shows for the connection?  You
should leave this setting not selected, in which case Windows Mail will use the IE connection uses.

In addition, under Tools, Options, connection, the first checkbox must be checked, and the second box unchecked.

If everything which withdraws, but you still have the problem, the account may be damaged.  Remove account, restart Windows Mail,.
    then recreate the account.

Your settings via the Control Panel won't make any difference because...
Windows Mail can't check spelling in Australia English.Windows Mail has only 4 language correcting spelling, English, French, German and Spanish.
Suggest that you 'upgrade' to Windows Live Mail, which have 26 languages spellcheck, which is English (Australia).

  • Mac Mail: Spell checking, AutoCorrect off?

Older versions of mail were good. New version seems quite willing that the spell checker auto correction required, and without no spelling correction at all.

It is a nightmare for dyslexics, we want to underscore red (as in this box here) to inform that we'll type wrongly, but we don't want EVER a word randomly mortise in where we can see it happened. Good spelling, AutoCorrect absolute nightmare with emails going to full of gibberish characters.

Why have silly programmers at Apple set up like that? If my boss fiddled with my work to make me look like an idiot I could him sacked by HR. But coders numpty at Apple think it's ok to bully customers who bought faithfully their expensive products for decades with completely bad and cruel decisions that cannot be changed.

Can they? Please tell me that there is a work around. Please?

And while I'm here - can do us to stop this site suddenly add text as I type to the top line as I type. That is just put cruelty on top of everything else.

    Thank you

  • Spell check in Vista

I tried to get my spell checker to work in English. In my e-mail in MSN mail settings all I have is French and French (Canadian). I tried to go into Windows mail and to change to another language and back to English, but all I get is the French which is the only option on my MSN e-mail. Is it possible to delete the setting languge on MSN mail? I think that if I could get rid of the French on that one, Windows mail spell checking work. I use MSN mail under my email address.

    Hello gabbypoo1576,

    We will try again.
I found another ad on the internet to set up spell checking for MSN mail.
    http://www.ehow.com/how_4842913_spell-checker-dictionary-MSN-email.html

    He states:

It may be necessary to install a dictionary from the spelling for MSN or MSN hotmail e-mail checker. Initially, Microsoft Office 2007 did not include a dictionary of English for e-mail programs. If your computer is Microsoft Office 2007, or another application like Open Office, it is perhaps not able to check the spelling of the words in the content of the MSN e-mail. This can be solved in two ways. Install MSN Office 2000 or 2003 and your MSN email will automatically absorb the spell checker. Another option is to download a dictionary for the spelling checker.

Please look at this option to see if it answers your questions or if you still need help.

    Thank you
