"Corrupt" but not trash. Difficulty without draining?

I have a dual-boot system with XP and 64-bit Win7 on it.

When I opened the trash in Win7, I get a message telling me that my"Recycle Bin corrupted" and asks if I want to remove all what it. No. The Recycle Bin is great when it opens. Content is displayed correctly, new deletions are present, and the files can be restored in their place.

Win7 doesn't believe RB is "corrupt", because XP used the RB even on the same drive.

A way to 'fix' the problem so Win7 stop bugging me every time that I open it?

Thanks for the reply, if any solution that involved deleting files in my trash was really not an option.

As noted however, the problem seems to be fixed now. Despite giving permission to Windows to "Empty" the "corruption"Recycle Bin", it seems to have solved the problem without deleting my files (it may have deleted some specific"corrupted"files, but I did not try to confirm if this was the case).

You can download the installer for OS X directly from Oracle. Be sure to uncheck everything installs 'optional' which can appear at the beginning (I think on Windows it wants to install McAfee trial or the toolbar Bing - not really malware, more as desired and useless crud-ware). Deleted file recovery can recover incomplete files, i.e. the part of these files may be missing. Recover deleted files is much more reliable if recovery of a backup, instead of using recovery software.

These things depend on the operating system and the file system.

One thing, you can see: open one of these files damaged with a text editor, and then make sure that the constant % PDF is somewhere in the first 1024 bytes.

WRT54G without wire - but not on several devices in time - and now not at all

Since the internet operator change we had major problems with our router and try to get the wireless to work on several computers at the same time. I'm collecting is an IP address conflict, we had this message pop up sometimes - but I'm not sure how to fix. I have a linksys WRT54G, 6 weeks out of warranty (I tried to call for support and they told me they would be * fun * help me for $30 - $ 40 - that really bothers me because it was the first time I EVER called.) We should be allowed at least a free call no matter how long out of warranty-end rant)

In any case - I have two laptops, Netflix through the WII and an I-touch. For some time, a computer can access wireless, sometimes both would, sometimes none would be - as the problem has been in the last two days. It seems a computer would be more in line with 'enter' access-don't know if it's important to know or not :)) I tried looking to see if the computer has a static ip address - but could not find any info to support this theory...

I doubt that it is a router failure as it worked fine with the previous interent provider - but now it's not - I tried to reset the router and reconfigure through the configuration Web pages. Nothing I am train is working, not real surprising - as I don't really know what I'm doing.

I don't think it's the internet provider like internet access works well french cable modem through the router...

Can somebody * please * help guide me through this?

Could be a problem with your WRT54G. If you say that you reset the default device and the wired ports on the device works very well for multiple devices but not wireless? Since the introduction of the wireless side is just specifying an ssid and encryption and everything otherwise default values are just ports wired sound most likely your bad wireless radio turned to how it manages the users.

HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060: I can print in Word format, but not in MS Excel

Hello, I've just joined this forum and I am new on this.

I just want to ask for help regarding our printer at the school. I had problem printing in MS Excel, I installed the printer and set as a default value, but still is not printing. When I tried to print, it will just say "Document pending to print" then it will disappear. I tried to install again, and then I had a copy of the printer HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060 (1 copy), that I now use to print in Word format and it works, but I found the problem when I tried printing in Excel. I tried to select the copy of the printer but it does not display and only the default is illustrated - in the printer list when you print without printer HP DEskjet (1 copy) is displayed. Everything I do now is copy from Excel and paste the word so I could print the document. I also tried reinstalling the printer but still the same. Help, please.

Welcome to the HP Forums support and thank you for reaching out! Although you may have to contact your school IT Department, I'd be happy to everything I can to help. From your description, I understand that you have difficulties when you try to print from Excel.

Please first try printing HP and doctor Scan. Printing HP and doctor Scan is a free utility (tool) that allows to quickly solve common printing, scanning and connectivity problems, including but not limited to:
- Connectivity:
  
  USB: Check that the USB connection from your computer to the HP product works properly.
  
  Network: Verifies that the network connection between your computer and your network is working properly.
- Device Status Test: checks the errors of the device, such as paper, paper jams, stands transport and paper issues and provides instructions to resolve the error.
- Driver: checks the driver missing or corrupt files.
- Device Manager: check the problems in Device Manager that could prevent printing.
- Device online: check if the product has been suspended or put in offline and then sets the State back in line if necessary.
- Print queue: checks and clears pending print jobs in the print queue (a newspaper for printing waiting to print).
- Port Match: check the port settings for the HP product.
- Device conflicts: check the conflicts with other drivers, such as the other brands of printers.

If this does not resolve the problem, after back and let me know if there are all the symbols except the Green checkmarks and what they are next of course. The key is not always easy to identify the key and check mart are in the green circle.

External hard drive in the Device Manager but not in disk management

So I have this external hard drive Western Digital 1 TB. I've had for over a year now and it was working fine. I would like to trade my XBox 360 and the computerregularly. Then one day I brought home, plugged into the computer and nothing. My friend and I couldn't understand anything. We have gone as far as removing the hard drive and put it directly into the computer. I have reviewed, that he has lost.

Then yesterday, on a whim, I tried to connect it again to the USB port. It is presented in the Device Manager but says that its drivers have not been installed. Then, I changed the USB ports on the back of the computer and as if by magic, that this is once again. I had full access. Stupid (and you can see where this is going) did not immediately transfer anything off the hard drive. I'm looking for an image and listen to a song off of said hard drive when the drive went suddenly not recognized.

I can see now the reader in the Manager of devices under disk drives, and USB devices. However it does not appear in the disk management window. And Yes, I checked as well the Productdocumentation upper and lower, that it is not listed. Go to the area where you assign drive letters not shown not be. Normally this is E:.

I also tried to remove the UpperFilters registry in regedit. It was not to remove LowerFilters. Obviously, that didn't work or the other.

I tried several cords and all my USB ports with no luck either.

I went on the WD Web site, but they do not offer anything other than a partitioner that I would save rather than as a last resort as there are a number of things on the hard drive I want to save.

So it's not like it's a new HD to be partitioned or an old man who comes out crapped. I know there's the data I just need to get home long enough to get what I need. Maybe I missed my window, but maybe I did not. Maybe someone can help. I'm at the end of my mind on this thing.

Sounds like a problem of partition (maybe corrupted partition tables) if the device is recognized, but not the 'disk '.

There are recovery/repair partition about tools. Western Digital actually have some but I think that they are made for internal drives.

If I were you, I start with WD and start looking for partition recovery/repair tools. If this is the problem then it is the right kind of problem and you using the right type of solution can fix it easily.

If this is not the case, some data recovery tools can help you recover some files even if you have to recreate a new partition, although I wish you much luck with this approach!

Good luck whatever you try and make sure that you do not overwrite the what partition information, you have without making backups (many partition edititing software will offer backups)

Charles here, I have a new fx mainboard MSI 760 gm - e51 and installed an updated release of windows 7. I have McAfee total Protection antivirus product. Already have a file corrupted in the trash. Not happy with Mcafee. Any suggestions on a good anti-virus product? Also corrupted file attached to the application of google chrome. I tried to uninstall/features of the program but could not find the path of the windows folder. Google app is detained in \User\AppData\Local\Temp\65B3A9~1\ that is not in my temp folder. There is no Recorder program called iso (pushisher alex freiman) that I don't recognize cannot remove or delete. Any suggestions to remove the wire corrupted in r/bin. I had to re - install windows again, but when I hit install it says 'Save Temp files' is the last thing I want. Is this normal. Save and delete the temporary files? McAfee says not an infection and was unable to help him.

Open a command prompt run as admin

In the command prompt type this

RD /s /q D:\$Recycle.bin

(Where D: is the drive letter of corrupt... yours may be different)
If it is c type this rd /s /q C:\$Recycle.bin)

HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z Wireless connection print Windows Vista, but not from Windows 7

Printer HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z seems to be connected to my Dell laptop with Windows 7 on HP Solution Center page, but does not print. Documents just get stuck in QC. It was printing then it wasn't so that's when it wasn't. The printer works when I print from a laptop more old Vista. The last time this happened, I uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software and that doesn't seem to help. Then, for some inexplicable reason, impression began to work. It has now stopped working again. I can scan the Windows 7 laptop but not print. I tried all the troubleshooting tools that I could find without success. Thanks for trying to help.

It could be caused by a couple of things:

1. firewall on PC or router.

2 interference (microwave, cordless phone base @ 2.4 Ghz)

3 distance from router

4 corrupted printer driver.

Turn off the firewall you have and you move anything that can cause interference to router.

If none of the above solves the problem, I'll have to install a different printer driver.

Click Start.

Go to devices and printers.

Click Add a printer.

Add a local printer. Create a new Port, then choose "Standard TCP/IP port.

Click Next.

TypeRegeditdans in the box 192.168.1.12 IP address or host name. (uncheck the box 'Interrogate the printer')

Click Next.

When the printer list opens, click windows update. (it takes a few minutes)

After the box appears, choose HP (not Hewlett Packard) on the left and choose "Deskjet 990c" on the right.

Click Next, the default value and end.

Try to print using the printer Deskjet 990c.

Some, but not all, programs in CS6 Master Collection is more open, inviting the Adobe Application Manager

Here's my problem. I bought the CS 6 Master Collection when it came out. Everything was fine until recent months when some, but not all, programs won't open. When I run CS 6 Illustrator, Creative Cloud Adobe Application Manager opens. To renew your subscription? When I Subscription Manager, I said I have a free subscription to creative cloud. Agents chat Adobe told me that my creative cloud subscription is good.
What is strange, but I thank you, is that other programs, such as Photoshop CS6 and Dreamweaver CS6, open very well, without the detour over the impasse of Adobe Application Manager.
Through four chat sessions, I have been ordered to take various measures, which none have worked. The fuller was an uninstall of all Master CS6 Collection, run a cleaning of Adobe tool, then a reinstallation is complete. It took a while, but left me at the same place: Adobe Application Manager opens for 6, Illustrator CS, but CS 6 Dreamweaver and Photoshop 6 CS open very well.
After several tries, I somewhat lost a little confidence in agents chat for Adobe. Does anyone have a solution for this?

I checked with your Adobe ID here on the forums, there was a creative cloud subscription that is now closed there ended in August 2014.

Uninstalling CS6 will not help you will need to remove the Creative cloud completely from your machine first.

After that reinstall CS6 from - applications download Creative Suite 6

Please follow the steps; below

MAC:

1 force quit Adobe all processes in the activity monitor (for example, CC, Core sync, the broker CC library, Office, Adobe, Adobe CPI, demon Adobe Crash etc..)

2-go to: Finder > Applications > utilities > Adobe installer > uninstall Adobe Creative cloud (if problems uninstall Trash)

3-go to: Finder > Applications > utilities > (delete these two folders - creative cloud Adobe and Adobe Application Manager)

4. then run the cleanup tool to remove the clouds creative and Adobe Application Manager (if it remains in the machine)

5 right-click on the icon in the Finder, then select 'Go - To' folder.

6. you will get a text box, type in the following command and then press 'return '. ("Not to be missed ~ symbol")

~/Library (it will open the folder of the user's library.)

7. browse to the Application Support > Adobe > OOBE folder and folder AAM Updater so trash

8. new > right-click on the icon in the Finder and select "go to" folder option. > you will get a text box, type in the following command, and then click 'Return' key. / Library (it will open the library system folder.)

9. browse to the Application Support > Adobe > trash folder OOBE and Adobe Application Manager / after that, rename the SL-STORE like SL-STORE_OLD

Can register on EM and Admin Console but not Analytics - down presentation server

I installed 11G on Windows 7 Enterprise. I am able to sign on Enterprise Manager and the Administration Console but not in analytics.
The presentation server is down and there is a message in the nqserver.log about a problem with the oracle.bi.security.service. I pasted the nqserver.log and the sawlog0.log file and the file nqsconfig.ini below.
I checked the BISystemUser into the realms of Weblogic Administration Console/security/myrealm and reset the password.
I also have to reset the password for BISystemUser in Weblogic Enterprise Manager/WebLogic Domain/Security/Credentials/oracle.bi.system
Then restarted services.
I checked to see that there's no lock on DEV_MDS and DEV_BIPLATFORM.
I tried to restart the services on several occasions without any modification.
I don't know what else to check or how to proceed. Is there anything else I should check to identify what I might need to the difficulty of obtaining this race?
