Corrupt FreeCell game

My game of freecell on windows 7 is corrupted.  The third row of cards to Midway rides cards in the second row.  I uninstalled and reinstalled but it did not help.  It is a fixable problem?

Hi Lorban,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community Forum.

Of the information, you play Freecell on Windows 7 are damaged.

It would be useful that you can answer these questions to help you further.

1. you receive messages or error codes?

2. you will remember to do changes in hardware or software on the system before the show?

Method 1:

Since you've already tried to uninstall and reinstall the game, you can try a system restore before the show started and check if that helps.

To run the system restore, please refer to the article:

System restore

Method 2:

If still you face the question, you can also try to perform a SFC scan on the computer that would be a system file corrupt on the computer search and replace.

  • I upgraded to Windows 7 Pro to Pro 8. How can I find my Freecell game?

After the upgrade, I have my 3d Pinball and the link is still on my desk, but I'm having a problem to find my Freecell game.  I'm sure it's a problem of simple search, but I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me how to locate. All I can find here is how to download Solitaire and Minesweeper. Thank you.

    Hello

I appreciate that you try to find the FreeCell game on Windows 8 pro computer. FreeCell is not a part of Windows 8. You may need to download one of your favorite games from the store available in the Windows Start menu.

You will need to connect with your Microsoft Account to download these games on Microsoft Store. Alternatively, you can visit the link below to download some of the desired games.

  • My Freecell game is corrupted

other games work well - tried the games 'uncheck' in the control panel and re-startup option and then re-checking games once again, but when it restores games he brings in corruption even in Freecell.

How can I get a download of cool program to get rid of corruption -

    Any help gratefully received.

    Hello

    1. what exactly happens when you try to play this game? You get the error message?

2 did you recent hardware or software changes to your computer before this problem?

    3. what operating system do you use?

Step 1: Check if you can play this game in the new user account.

    Create a user account
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/create-a-user-account

If it works in a new user account, then you will need to fix the corrupted user profile. You can visit this link for the steps:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

Step 2: If you were able to play this game without any problems earlier and then try to perform the audit and system restore. Restore it to the time where the game worked fine.

  • FreeCell game moves the columns to the wrong place

I checked the related topics were displayed with no luck.

My problem is a column had moved and was in the wrong place.  Column 7 of 8 has been moved down beyond the end of column 8 and is now fully functional, to the right of the screen.  Now the right column 7 appears empty and is not recognized as a plus column.

I tried to post on the other posts instead of starting a new post, but none of the experts seem to be looking back.

I tried all the suggestions. Restore privious point, uninstall/reinstall, sfc/scannow, several resets etc. No luck.

    Other solutions?

It is absolutely amazing. Than to repair a 800ko program/game it will take hours of effort to go through a reinstallation. Backig to the top of my data, reinstall my programs, desktop, shortcuts, passwords etc.

The option 'fix' using the disc is not available for me because I have a Dell laptop which has the hidden partition "system restore." I don't think that the option is available. I'll check.

It seems that where ever FreeCell 'will' and 'comes' of when you use the "Turn Windows Freatures power' is corrupted.

Just an aside, is that the problem has added a "degree of difficulty" to play FreeCell, that I adapted for. I think that at this time I'll just live with it and add another element to the list of what's wrong with MicroSoft Vista.

  • You can disable the automatically load a random number of Freecell game first starts?

FreeCell startup in Windows 7, it automatically loads a game of chance.  I don't want it.  I ALWAYS want to choose the number of game I want to play.  Yes, I can choose the game - after - the cards are dealt, but then I have to accept defeat on the hand held before that I don't want to play.

I want to choose the game is because I'm going sequentially through the list, game 1 to...

Yes, is it when even disable the automatic selection, or revert to the behavior where you will be asked to each selection random or # first game? (As in previous versions)

    Duh_ug,
Well, I'm just a casual player of Freecell, so I've never really paid attention to the stats.  However what I found is that if after the cards are dealt, if you 'Select Game' before to make some moves on in the game, it does not count as a game played or a loss.  As soon as make you any kind of move on the game, then becomes an active game and will be considered a loss\game played if you select a new game.  Try it and make sure it works correctly for you. • Corrupt the game folder

    My PC:
    Win 7 ultimate N 64-bit
    Intel i7-860
    8g RAM
    1 TB HARD DRIVE

    My problem:
When I try to manually add a link to the game folder by dragging the .exe file or a shortcut to the folder nothing happens.

Initially I had AOE III, Fallout 3 and other games installed. They worked perfectly and has appeared in the "Games" folder in the start menu.

I went to open today and the AOE III and Fallout 3 had disappeared from the folder 'games '. All other games are always present and working.

Currently, I can always hide and restore the hidden games. Microsft update can add files in the game folder. He did so today by installing an update for windows live games after that this problem occurred.

I noticed that in "start > all programs > games" pointers to the Games folder all files appear with their targets, with the exception of AOE III and Fallout 3 "» When I click with the right button on their respective folders and go to properties there is an empty space for target. That's because their goals do not exist in the folder of the game, and there is no shortcut.

The games in question are still installed and work properly otherwise.

I think that this problem is related to a corruption with the game folder.
Rights at least pointers to the files .exe for the game, possibly in writing for the program which prevent the user additions.

Ive tried to find the solution but I've hit a wall.

    Hi Elian152,

You can run 2 methods to check whether the problem is resolved.

    Method 1: System Restore

Check if the games are listed in the Games folder, after the restoration of the system

Follow the steps in the link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/features/system-restore

    Method 2:

Create a new user account and check if it helps.

    To create a user account

    1. to open user accounts, click the Start button, select Control Panel, click user accounts and parental control, and then click user accounts.

    2. click on manage another account.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    1. click on create a new account.

2 type the name you want to assign to the user account, click an account type, and then click on create an account.

For more details follow the link.

    Create a user account
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/create-a-user-account

If the problem is resolved after you have created a new user account, you can fix the damaged user account.

Follow the steps in the link to fix the damaged user account: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/Windows7/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

  • Cannot disable saved in FreeCell game Option

I saved a game I played and now impossible to cancel the function. I tried to lose, win and stop the saved game, but it is still early in the next session. How do I turn it off?

    Hello Ephman54,

Thank you for posting.  We should be able to disable this feature by going to option, while running the game Freecell.

In the upper-left corner of the window of Freecell, you will see the button 'game '.

Click on the play button and select Options.

Now, you will see the "Always" continue saved game and options "always save game leaving."
Just uncheck both of these boexes and you shouldn't have the problem more.

Please let me know if this helps you.
