Corrupted media usage rights

A few days ago I upgraded my AMD processor with an Intel processor and since then, when I try to play already bought videos, I get the following message: "your media usage rights were corrupted or are no longer valid. This can happen if you have replaced hardware components in your computer. "Prior to the upgrade, the videos has worked well.  When I try to find a solution to this problem via the Internet, I get referred to as DRM and when I try to find DRM in the registry, cannot open the file so I can delete it (if recommended).  Any help would be appreciated.

I use Windows Vista x 64 with an Intel Core Duo CPU 3.0.

Hi Dennis1825,

Thank you for using answers Forum.

You will probably have to visit the Web site that was purchased to update DRM information for the file.

Please let us know if that helps.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community and we give the opportunity to help you.

    Cause of the error:

Windows Media Player uses Microsoft Digital Rights Management (DRM) to protect the rights of content owners who protect their music or video products in this manner. You must have usage rights required to play, burn, or sync protected content.

How to upgrade the DRM license?

By default, Windows Media Player will automatically attempt to acquire the rights of use in silence unless the server requires some input on your part (for example, registration or tax information). You can disable the automatic rights acquisition. In this case, you will be asked to obtain the rights for any new content that requires them. To prevent Windows Media Player from acquiring rights automatically, do the following:

    a. click on the arrow on the now playing tab, and then click Other Options.

    b. click on the Privacy tab, and clear the automatically check if protected files need to be refreshed check.

Please note that this setting affects not acquisition of rights of use of online stores.

  • How can I get my files to replay if they lack the usage rights?

Is there a method to get my MP3s from the p2p network to replay if I have Windows 7 upgrade f / Vista Home Premium with a WMP 11?

    Hi Dean,

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft community!

I understand that you have difficulties to play some files missing usage rights. I will try to help you with this. To be able to understand the question in a better way, I would like to ask you a few questions.

    (1) did you make any changes before the show?

    (2) what is the error code/message you receive?

Media Player cannot download usage rights automatically if the usage rights to download automatically when I play or sync a file option is turned off (by default, it is enabled). To check that it is enabled, follow these steps:

    1. click on the arrow on the reading tab, click More Options and then click the Privacy tab.

2 check that the usage rights to download automatically when I play or sync a file check box is enabled.

In addition, if you subscribe to a music or video subscription through an online service, it is recommended that you turn on the automatically check if protected files need to be refreshed option (by default, it is enabled). When this option is enabled, the player will have to regularly scan your library for purchased and subscription files that are missing the usage rights, files that have arrived at expiration of the rights, or files that have rights that are about to expire. The player will then try to download the rights from the Internet. This allows to improve reading, burning, and sync experiences with purchased and subscription files. To verify that this option is enabled, follow these steps:

    1. click on the arrow on the reading tab, click More Options and then click the Privacy tab.

    2. check that him automatically check if protected files need to be refreshed check is enabled.

If your computer is missing from all the rights to use media for files that you obtained from an online store, the store might offer a way to recover them.

  • Repeating subforms after the application of usage rights

    Hi guys,.

I was going crazy trying to get this problem solved in recent weeks. No unfortunately I cannot post the PDF because of privacy issues, but I hope you might be able to point me in the right direction for what could be causing the problem.

    The problem

We lack a problem once the LiveCycle PDF is opened in Acrobat Pro and enabled usage rights. Once save us the PDF file, then open, Extensible subforms start behaves badly. By example, when we re - open this document, rather than the subform with 1 instance (as it should be by default), it opens with several instances of 2, 3, 6, or 20).

This problem occurs only one time use rights have been activated on the document, and it's always the same number of instances is repeated.

    Details of the document

The PDF document was created in Indesign and then imported into LiveCycle to apply interactivity. There are a total of 17 pages

There are several subforms in the entire file on the different pages. Each of these subforms has a button below them which allows the user to add additional instances of the subform (using the built-in script that generates LiveCycle). Each subform has a minimum number of limit 1 and maximum 20. The "original" counter has been set to 1, but it seems that LiveCycle removes this value if it is the same as the minimum number.

This document does not tie into any database. It is simply an interactive document that allows users to show/hide the pages based on the boxes they check on the first page (some page visibility changes). The idea being, the customer can save the form once they have filled in the required fields, and then send it back, so recording feature is necessary (this is why we need the rights to use).

    What I've tried so far

I did a lot of reading on the subject, and I've seen mention of people with non-unique names subforms or empty subforms may cause the problem. I checked the document and subforms all have a unique name and there is no form under vacuum.

As a way to try to identify what elements might be the cause of the issue, I've resorted to deleting several pages of the document to track a specific item which could be causing the problem, however, I didn't have much luck with this. The removal of most of the pages other than the unique repeating subform has resulted in the subform repeat 6 to 8 times (don't remember exactly, but it's already repeated 20 times)

    Any ideas?

I know it's a bit difficult without being able to see the document directly, but I hope someone might have a suggestion for what I can remember. Is it just screwing things up usage rights, or is potentially something in my code which comes into conflict with the rights of use. The thing I find most confusing on this scenario is the seemingly random to see how many instances. The first subform before loads the available maximum limit, but the rest of the forms more load with only 2 instances (when they also have a maximum limit of 20 pieces).

I have read a few forums where people suggested Reader Extensions, but according to Adobe system requirements, it does not correspond to what we are trying to reach. There is no database interaction at all - we demand that the ability of users to save the PDF locally.

If anyone can offer any suggestions for where I might need to look at the issue, I would be very grateful. Thank you!

    Hello

Your description of the problem is very detailed. Send me a private message if it is possible to send the form to a person instead of posting publicly.

Here's a thread repeating subforms that can help: registration complete form duplicates subforms I used a line of script console.println to try to help identify the problem.

I try and minimize the number of subforms flowed and don't use them only where they are required for the content of this subform. In all other cases, use positioned subforms.

Minimum number serves only one purpose when you have a button that allows you to remove instances. Minimum number of 1 means that the user can delete instances, but not the last remaining instance. Unless you need to, you could take this.

I don't think that the problem is because the form is activated. There must be something else in the background.

Try to open the Javascript Console in Acrobat/Reader (by pressing command + J) and see if errors and warnings. Also, put in a console.println script to display the nodes in the console.

    Good luck

  • the logon form will remove usage rights?

    Hello world

I have Reader extended form in my trial version. After that, when I try to open the form in livecycle designer, I see a message box saying that

"Certain rights of use have been applied to the form you want to open. Open the form will remove usage rights. Do you want to continue? "

Why this message appears? why it takes away the rights of use when I open the form?

    Thanks in advance,

    KC

I think that there is some confusion on the reader extensions.  A person/process apply reader extensions to a designed form rights.  If you read a form in the designer and make a change, which is a new form.  The process of reader extensions had been done on the entry.  You must drive - extend the form with the design changed after you save it to designer.

I expect that you would NOT get a message like this if you open the form in Reader.

Think of the reader extensions as if it were a signature.  If you change the underlying document, you invalidate the signature.  The message box will alert you to the fact that the redesign process removes the extension of rights to drive and you will have to make the extension of the detector to deal with again.

  • Media player 11 will not play a video protected by drm componet usage rights

    Hi FrankGauci,

-What is the accurate and complete error message that you receive? Please specify the same.

Follow the steps listed in the section below to resolve this issue:

  • Can not download usage rights to play CDs ripped in Windows Media Player

I am running Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 7 (64-bit).

Whenever I try to read a CD ripped, Media Player tries to download of copyrights / license from the web using the browser by default, but I get this error message...

The license can not be downloaded because your Web browser is not supported.

To download a license, you must install Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or later.

To install the latest version of Internet Explorer, see the Windows update page.

Make IE the default browser 11 isn't good. Some say to use another media player, but this is ridiculous. There must be a way to remedy this situation outside the re-rip the CD. I hope that IE 11 is not the problem since it is a new browser.

For what it's worth, I've migrated my XP Home Library. Copy protection has been added to these files ripped of course, XP. Any music ripped to Windows 7 is not protected against copying.

    Fixed!

Out of curiosity, I opened Windows Media Center and tried to play copyrighted music. I thought some kind of license message opens, and of course, he did. The message / process was a little more complicated than with Media Player and Media Center has managed to download rights of use without problem. I should have documented my steps, but it was nothing more than the instructions.

I have closed the Media Center, open Media Player, and voila, torn CD music played as it should.
