Cost of JDeveloper applications

Does anyone have an escape from the real cost of JDeveloper applications.

We currently have in the House. end Oracle and BIC. I was looking to create applications with JDeveloper. Right now I have the impression that the J2EE development is too expensive to support. If we use Oracle end, BIC and JDeveloper our costs would be less because we are already paying for Oracle end and BIC?

Any help would be appreciated - as soon as possible.

Thank you

I'm not an expert on what is included in the installation of Oracle Apps you have.
They may contain a Java EE server - but it also depends on your license applications - cause that server could only be allowed to run Oracle Apps specifically and you'll no longer licensed to run other applications on it.
If this is the case, then you will need a license Oracle applications server too - whose version depends on the version of JDeveloper, you want to use.

I think that it is best to contact your Oracle account team and ask they'll be able to break down the costs of license for you based on what you have or not.

So I got my pre this morning... This is a cool device, but I have a few questions. After reading the synergy with your Gmail, facebook contacts, I quickly learned how them syncs not... but I have a few questions...

1. is there an actual app for facebook? I can't very well browse the app screen... I read that after a few hard resets appearing more apps... but until now I did not get a facebook application

2. in the app store... each app says $try me... but I can't seem to find out if the app is free or has a price... because none of them have prices... they are all free?

3 quick launch at the bottom of the screen... can you change them? I would like for SMS messages on the quick launch, but I can't find the settings to change.

4 send... I have 6 email accounts different... aparently palm introduced them all to my favorites... How to remove from my favorites? And there at - it an Inbox of group that can be created to house all your emails?

I have to use my blackberry and the ease of use of all. I love that it fits to your Facebook friends that YOU have placed in your contacts with their facebook pages... but the pre only adds one and everyone on your list of friends... not a plus, but I'm sure they'll change that soon... I can't seem to find a settings page are my "own" pre

Let's see it... Thanks to anyone who responds

1. it is not an application for facebook. You can simply navigate to www.facebook.com and actually browse the page regularly and I have to go to the mobile page

2. almost all the apps are free the one who cost is the classic application and it comes with a seven-day trial and actually tells you it is a trial.

3. to change the quick launch buttons, you first have to remove a (you can't have four + launcher down button). To remove a tap on it and holding down on him just drag and drop it onto the screen. For down an app in tap and hold when it becomes gray drag onto the launch bar.

4. to remove an Inbox of your Favorites go to tap section of this email on the arrow next to it. Click on the star next to the Inbox (it should be yellow now). It will then turn white or "deselected." Anything with a star next to it will appear in the Favorites section. If you want to watch all of your emails from your Inbox, you should have a button that says "all inboxes".

• How to connect to ms access in a swing JDeveloper application

Hi guys,.

How to connect MSAccess data base in a swing application in JDeveloper?

I was wondering, you asked how to connect to MS Access from an application developed on JDev swing...

Using ADF? Or simply using JDev to develop a plain vanilla java swing application?
If not using ADF:
You could try the JDBC-ODBC bridge. http://download.Oracle.com/javase/6/docs/TechNotes/guides/JDBC/bridge.html
Could be better than half the oven pilots of type 4 JDBC for access.

If you use ADF, I assume you have a model project ADF and an ADF swing project. If you manage to use the bridge JDBC-ODBC you should be able to configure a data source for your project in model as javax.sql.DataSource, javax.sql.ConnectionPoolDataSource are now supported if the bridge.

Please keep in mind the updates warn on the http://download.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/jdbc/bridge.html, especially limited scalability and performance.

The error that is quite normal occurs because the first sub question Jdevloper encapsulated inside the QRSLT and the second query sub encapsulated inside the QRSLTSQ2 and at the end, Jdeveloper, I do not know for what reason he uses in the clause WHERE QRSLTSQ1 instead of QRSLT. There is no QRSLTSQ1 in the query.

I use Jdeveloper 12.1.3.0.0

Thank you guys for your help and your time.

I solved the problem with a strange way

before running the query that I called the toString method to print the query after you set the bind variables in the VariableValueManager of the ViewCriteria in the ViewObjectImpl and it looks that it recreates the alias correctly for me it doesn't make sense.

See the code below.

ViewCriteriaManager vcm = this.getViewCriteriaManager();
ViewCriteria vc = vcm.getViewCriteria("ShippedOrdersVOCriteria");
VariableValueManager vvm = vc.ensureVariableManager();
vvm.setVariableValue("BindCustNo", custNo);
vvm.setVariableValue("BindCustPo", poNo);
vvm.setVariableValue("BindDays", days);
vvm.setVariableValue("BindDetItemNo", detItemNo);
vvm.setVariableValue("BindInvoiceNo", invoiceNo);
vvm.setVariableValue("BindOrderNo", orderNo);
this.applyViewCriteria(vc);
this.getQuery().toString();
this.executeQuery();

• Run applications on stand-alone WebLogic 10.3.5.0 11.1.2.2.0 JDeveloper

Hello

Tell me please, how do I run 11.1.2.2.0 on stand-alone WebLogic 10.3.5.0 JDeveloper application? Integrated Weblogic Server of JDeveloper 11.1.2.2.0 has the 10.3.5.0 version and everything works fine. I hope that it's impossible to make my server capable of running with JDeveloper 11.1.2.2.0 application.

Evgeny

The server applications certified & ADF combinations are available here:
http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/jdev11gr2-CERT-405181.html#Application_Servers
So yes, according to this document, a stand-alone server 10.3.5 can run the ADF 11.1.2.2.0 DURATION

Tell me please, how do I run 11.1.2.2.0 on stand-alone WebLogic 10.3.5.0 JDeveloper application?

You must follow an Oracle support document.
Oracle Support Document 1328698.1 (how to install the ADF 11 g Release 2 to WebLogic Sever 10.3.5 runtime libraries / 10.3.6?) are at: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/ui/km/DocumentDisplay.jspx?id=1328698.1

Briefly:
1. on your stand-alone weblogic Server runtime install ADF 11.1.1.6 first
2. then install the two patches for ADF 11.1.2.2 available from support of Oracle and mentioned in the document of support.

• JDeveloper 11 and Oracle Application Server

Hello

We have recently moved to the Organization of a Forms client server environment. We migrated forms 6i to 10g and deployed to OAS 10.1.2.0. The next phase of the project is to start the development/migration of the system to a Java environment. My question is, if we want to continue our current configuration of OAS, can develop using JDeveloper 11 g or do we use JDeveloper 10 g. Basically, can I deploy JDeveloper 11 g to OAS 10g?

Kind regards.

Hello

If you are involving by JDeveloper application you want to use the ADF Faces RC coupled with JDev 11 g, the answer is simple right now is no, JDeveloper 11 g ADF applications require WebLogic Server 10.3 (WLS) or a compatible application JEE similar 1.5/5.0 server. So, if you want to offer a JDev ADF application on your existing platform OAS 10.1.2 or 10.1.3 you must stay with JDev 10.1.3 for the moment.

However this year Oracle plans to converge the OAS and platforms WLS platform Fusion Middleware (FMW - name subject to change), who will meet also forms/States 11 g and JDev 11 g on the same platform of FMW, which will overcome this obstacle. Dates TBA.

Kind regards

CM.

PS. WARNING: I am not an employee of the Oracle.

• cost of the CRG app

Like JDeveloper / MAF is freely downloadable, can applications developed on this platform be freely set and the price of the Apple or Google market place? I wonder about the stand-alone-device-db apps and not the apps that require database back-end, which has a price.

However, if the back-end database is free, open source MySQL coupled with freely available such as GlassFish or Apache Web servers, it cost anything for applications of database developed and deployed these platforms?

Forgive me if I'm missing anything.

Technically, you can download your application from the MAF to the store - there is nothing technical that prevent you to do so.

However, legally you will be breaking the license that you agreed to when you downloaded the MAF.

Hello trm765

The ulead iphoto plus 4 program is an application created by ulead systems in 1998. I check that the center of Windows 7 compatibility for this application and, unfortunately, it is not yet listed. The only iphoto application that appears is one mentioned by Andre Da Costa. This application is no longer supported or manufactured by ulead. Check here. To make her run, you can try to load the application in compatibility mode. This does not guarantee that it will work. In addition, if you have a product calling it Windows 7 you can download and install XP Mode for Windows 7. Once you have installed XP mode, you can then try to install iphoto here. Again, because this application is no longer supported by the developer and it is not listed on the Windows 7 Compatibility Center, it is unlikely that it will work. • [JDev12.1.2, ADF, GlassFish 4] A few questions on the tutorial of Shay "Deploy Oracle ADF Essentials Applications to Glassfish"

Hallo (Shay),

I want to deploy my application Web ADF to GlassFish that is installed on a different server from the development computer.

The application interacts with a MS SQL Server database.

I have some doubts/questions on the tutorial of Shay https://blogs.oracle.com/shay/entry/deploying_oracle_adf_applications_to

So far in the development phase, I deployed the application only to the JDeveloper-itegrated WebLogic Server on the development computer.

Creating a connection pool

• I could successfully creates a pool of connections only by copying the sqljdbc4.jar library in the C:\glassfish4\glassfish\libdirectory. Is this OK or should the library remain in C:\glassfish4\glassfish\domains\domain1\lib?
• Is there a way to hide the password in the additional properties?
• Is there any setting for the property should do (especially for MS SQL Server)? For example, somewhere I read that the isolation of transactions should be set to read uncommitted... but I did not understand why.
• What is the difference between types java.sql.DataSource resources and java.sql.XADataSource?

In JDeveloper application configuration

• Since the beginning of its development, the local configuration of the application Module has the name of data source (JDBC data source) set to java: comp/env/jdbc/MyDatabase_DB_SQLServerDS. If I change this field value to jdbc / < name_of_jdbc_resource_created_in_GlassFish >, as in the tutorial of Shay, it is not longer possible to run the application in JDeveloper (so using the WebLogic JDeveloper-itegrated server). Why? What's wrong?
• JDeveloper offers only the choiche GlassFish 3.1 as a platform for the deployment, but I'll use GlassFish 4. Perhaps this cause problems?

Taking care of the libraries used by the application

• In the project properties, between the libraries and railways class there are a few additional libraries I've used in applications. Here's the JAR files I put in C:\JDeveloper\lib. I copy these libraries on the production server? If Yes, where?

Other questions

• What is the difference between putting a library in the lib of GlassFish folder and put it in the folder lib of Domain1?
• Deployment procedure used by Shay in his tutorial might also be used to deploy the application on a remote production server?
• Is there a way to manually delploy an application, for example by copying manually under GlassFish project folder?
• My final goal is as follows. I have a clean Setup that allows me (1) to continue to run the application in JDeveloper on its built-in WLS, (2) to test the application to the GlassFish that I have installed on the computer development and (3) delploy the application on the remote production server. Could help me do that?

These are a lot of questions.

I thank in advance all the users who want to respond and I hope that the answers to these questions will help also others.

Ciao,.

Federico

Federico - most of your questions is generic Glassfish questions that do not specifically have anything to do with ADF - I recommend that you post on the forum of Glassfish. (Or read the Glassfish documentation for things like the difference between directories and deployment/admin console).

>>

• Since the beginning of its development, the local configuration of the application Module has the name of data source (JDBC data source) parameter tojava:comp / env/jdbc/MyDatabase_DB_SQLServerDS. If I change the value of this field of jdbc /, as in the tutorial of Shay, it is not longer possible to run the application in JDeveloper (so using the WebLogic JDeveloper-itegrated server). Why? What is the problem?

This is because JDeveloper uses an integrated WebLogic when you run and therefor cannot use the data source of Glassfish.

I suggest that make you this change only when you go to deploy on Glassfish.

>>

• JDeveloper offers only the choiche GlassFish 3.1 as a platform for the deployment, but I'll use GlassFish 4. Perhaps this cause problems?

We don't know, as the matrix of certification for the ADF will show that we have not tested/certified this combination.

• In the project properties, between the libraries and railways class there are a few additional libraries I've used in applications. Here's the JAR files that I put inC:\JDeveloper\lib. I copy these libraries on the production server? If Yes, where?

Use the properties of project-> libraries and class path to add the jar or create a library and add it to your project.

Make sure that this library is deployed by default.

• Deployment procedure used by Shay in his tutorial can also be used to deploy the application on a remote production server

Yes

• strange behavior of deployment JDeveloper!

Hello

I have Server weblogic 10.3.5.0

and ADF 11.1.2.1.0,

For a long time, nothing has changed, but all of a sudden, everything is fine (maybe after an unusual stop of my stand-alone weblogic server).

When I try to deploy or to test the connection of the browser of Jdeveloper Application Server 11.1.2.1.0 to my area of weblogic application server

its very slow, it takes about 5 minutes to list only instances of field (servers, deployment), also the same with the connection to the field test, it takes a lot of time to test the connection.

It's strange because it used to be much faster.

FYI (the problem is not the physical machine or the network, because I have another installation of weblogic on the same server and its fine).

Thanks in advance.

I found the problem, it is with a sql for the authentication provider

someone changed the password to the DS that has been used with this provider,

and that caused the behavior that I saw.

• WebCenter & JDeveloper tutorial configuration - Dimensions

Greetings,

I finished my ADF Webcenter portal with JDeveloper application

using JDeveloper 11.1.1.7 as this article describes: creating an Application Portal WebCenter - 11 g Release 1 (11.1.1.7.0)

I made some configurations by myself, for example, I add an external link (which works like the iFrames)

but the height looks like he has a specific pixel but I can't find these dimensions in the project. I have also

try adding an attribute inside af: pageTemplateDef (for example contentHeight and set it to 1500px) and call it

in the grouplayout dimensions, it increases the overall height, but not the content of outside links page.

The page is almost 500-700px and I have to scroll down with the mouse to display the entire contents of the external page.

When the page is loaded, I press Ctrl + Shift + C and I find the code on the duration of the iFrame:

< iframe id = "pt1:r1:0:if1" title = "My Application" external class = "xpm p_AFFlow" style = "width: 100%;" height: 1000px; "" src = " http://xxx.xxx.x.xxx:7100/MyApp/faces/main.JSF "onload = "AdfDhtmlInlineFramePeer.__iframeLoadHandler (event)" frameborder = "0" _adfloaded = "1" > < / iframe >

I change the value of 1000px (it was 550) and it worked, but how can I put it permanently? Looks like she set a value of specific height on the time of execution, no matter what are the dimensions of the secondary application/site.

Can you please help me to increase the height of the content of the portal, so it can be accessed on any height? specific value or auto (auto preferred)

Thanks in advance.

A hacky will be to override the CSS for inlineFrame in your skin.

For example

AF | {inlineFrame}

height: 1000px! important;

}

Note that if you want the iframe to evolve dynamically (i.e. based on the content of the page loaded), then you'll use Javascript. Example: make height dynamic iframe based content inside-JQUERY/Javascript - Stack Overflow

• Running Java off Jdeveloper - problem with dependent libraries program

Hello, I use Jdeveloper 11.1.1.7 and built a java application that imports XML files into Oracle and then exports an XML file to others pick up. I use jaxb, java persistence, and javax.mail etc...

When I run the Jdeveloper application, it works well and now I'm trying to place the application in my u:\temp directory to test, run the command line. Later, I will propose it to linux to run.

In Jdeveloper, I followed the instructions on adding all the pots of load in the application using file groups ( http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/06/01/creating-a-jar-file-in-jdeveloper/ )

You may create a very large jar with all dependent jar called xmlseprocessing.jar files and then I run as such in the back

set the classpath =. ; javax.mail_1.4.jar; xmlseprocessing.jar

SUP:

CD u:\temp

C:\Oracle11117\Middleware\jdk160_24\bin\javac commandLineStartup.java

C:\Oracle11117\Middleware\jdk160_24\bin\java commandLineStartup

I get this error:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/mail/MessagingException

I look on the internet and finally decides to catch the javax.mail_1.4.jar put in my u:\temp directory and update the classpath and run it, , but then I get this error.

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/persistence/persistence

to Sun.misc.Launcher$appclassloader$ AppClassLoader.loadClass (Launcher.java:301)

at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:246)

... 5 more

My hypothesis is that I have to enter each jar, add to my local directory and create a very long way as oracle at the start of the jdeveloper application (see below)

QUESTION: given that I added all the libraries needed to the xmlseprocessing.jar - why this phenomenon happens? Any solution? I'm doing something wrong?

Points awarded! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's what I see in the log window when I run the application in Jdeveloper.

Please understand that I'm on a tight schedule and have spent two weeks in writing an app that I can't run outside of jdeveloper. I have only some experience with java - I have worked intensively with Jdeveloper, but were only deploy to Weblogic, so a lot of this is foreign to me.

Well, there isn't an easy way to tell but it looks like you don't take into account your level of experience when you set (or wanted to) as "tight." Schedules should be based on: 1) the amount and type of work that must be done, 2) resources (including contacts) that are available and 3) the relevance of these resources (including skill level) to work.

Until that point, I was impressed by Java. Now, I'm about to throw my computer out the window.

Hmmm - nothing of what you posted indicates that the problem is due to the computer or Java.

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:

This exception is thrown when a class is referenced by the code, or another class, and the required class can NOT be found on the way to class, or in pots on the classpath.

A teacher gives a workbook at home you and asking you to problem #17. You go home and start working on the problem #17. And then you discover this problem references diagram # 17 #17 b in the "lab examples document". Hmmm - you do not have such a document. You now have a "NohandoutFoundError". You cannot complete the assignment until you find the examples document and 'add to your classpath.

Your problem is just as simple as this example. Java must be able to find EVERY SINGLE CLASS that is referenced in the code you are running. These classes must be on the way to class, or in a jar file that is located on the classpath.

It's as simple as this - this exception indicates that you are referring to a class that cannot be found. Your mission, if you decide to accept it, is to find out WHY this class can not be found. The class is NOT on the classpath or does NOT match any of the jars, which is on the classpath.

The solution is also simple - add the class or jar in the classpath.

The hard part for you is to know how to determine ALL the classes that might miss instead of finding out about them both.

This task is complicated by your apparent use of a MASSIF of jars of third parties who are part of WebLogic or Eclipse.

Why your use of Weblogic and Eclipse jars if application is a standalone application? WebLogic's application server. And you said that you use JDeveloper so why the eclipse jar file?

C:\temp\wljmsclient.jar; C:\temp\com. Oracle.toplink_1.0.0.0_11 - 1-1-5 - 0.jar; C:\temp\org. Eclipse.persistence_1.1.0.0_2 - 1.jar; C:\temp\com.BEA.core.ANTLR.runtime_2.7.7.jar; C:\temp\javax.p

The part above has a "toplink" pot, a pot of 'eclipse' and a jar of "bea". This seems to be a rather odd mixture of jar for a stand-alone application files.

I gave you the simple answer above - add missing classes or jars to the CLASSPATH.

If you need help more than that, then you need publish information on WHAT architecture is still using your application (appserver, EJB, etc.) and what 3rd party classes you THINK you are trying to use.
