Could not find a connector remote desktop in windows xp or I can install it

Hello world

I'll try to find mstsc.exe on my computer, so I can connect to another computer in the building, and he's not here, despite being apparently integrated into my version of windows xp, so I downloaded from the microsoft site and, at halfway through the installation, I get an error stating that the program is already installed as built in the part of the operating system , but I can't find it anywhere!
I'm usually a mac user, this problem is on the computer at work so forgive me for any ignorance, because I haven't used windows in over 6 years.
Thank you in advance!

It can be installed on Windows XP Professional

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/284931/en-us

To find the Remote Desktop Connection shortcut, click the button start , click all programs or programs, and then click Accessories. To quickly open remote desktop connection, open the start menu and type mstsc in the search box.

You can't use Remote Desktop connection to connect to computers running Windows XP Home Edition.

One thing I did not mention, is that you must check that the bridge is already done in the background.  Open the Task Manager and click the processes tab and see if bridge.exe is listed.  If program so quit smoking.

If you have the possibility of automatically loading at startup deck, I recommend that deactivate you in the Advanced preferences file.  It causes more problems than it solves.

waiting for your support with kindness

    Hello

There are two ways to do this.

Most computers these days don't come with recovery discs.

Instead, computer image makers a recovery Partition on the hard drive in order to reinstall the operating system to.

That the recovery process says return to factory (new State) settings

To access the recovery partition, you should be able to find it in the start menu > programs > list of software from the manufacturer of your > search for recovery options.

A simpler method to start the press a key or sequence of keys at startup (when you start your computer)

So maybe F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc. depending on your manufacturer.

You must ask them or online on their website or the Support Forums to know the exact key / s press.

Another method is to ask them to send you a set of recovery discs, which will do the same.

They will charge a small cost for this service.

Back up the data that it will be lost during the recovery process, and all programs that you have installed will need to be reinstalled from the original media (CD, DVD, download Net).

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

    See you soon.

  • Could not find photos and documents after reinstlling windows

I have rInstaller windows with the provided installation disc with a computer, after installing all my programs, photos and documents had disappeared. How can I find them?

Depending on how you did the re-setup, they may or may not be recoverable.  The recovery disc that comes with a computer generally makes a boot that erases the hard drive clean of EVERYTHING before you reinstall the system to the factory conditions.  If all of your data and programs are gone, then a new installation is almost certainly what happened.  When you have made you we gave the option ot repair/upgrade your system or only to install it?  Check your C:\ Drive and see if there is a folder named Windows.OLD.  If so, there may be a way to recover your data, but your programs and your settings are gone and needs to be reinstalled or reconfigured.

I hope this helps.  Let me know if you have a Windows.OLD folder and I will provide assistance to try to recover your data.  If this folder does not exist, then I am sorry to say that your data too has been deleted and disappeared.

  • Internet connection issues "Limited or no connectivity." and "windows could not find a certificate to log on the network.

I'm so unable to connect to the internet?

    Hello.

I'm so unable to connect to the internet.

Since I've renamed our WiFi network and add a WEP key, I have problems with wireless connection on my
Windows XP computer desktop, which is a Dell Dimension 4700.

The questions that I get connection are...

"windows could not find a certificate to log on the network.

    "Limited or no connectivity."

I did all the solutions I could try to fix the connection problem!

    1. once I received the message "limited or no connectivity", I click with the right button on the connection and click on repair. It is not always connect for me and I got the "limited or no connectivity message.»

    2. then, I disabled the network connection and then enabled. That no longer works.

    3. I tried to withdraw from the ordered list of connections, and it still doesn't work.

    4. I checked the driver manager, and initially the Ethernet driver was outdated and missing of its pilot. He had a yellow question mark with a black sign and yellow with an exclamation mark inside.

    5. I used DriverZone, downloaded the driver, installed and rebooted the computer after the installation of the it. Apparently, it worked. But I could not always connect.

6 I have ensured that I entered the correct WEP key, and then adjust the settings correctly. I did it like 10 times in a row and would not always connect.

    7. I tried to go to the command prompt and typed in IP Config/All and that's what I mean.

    Windows IP configuration
    Node type: unknown
    Active IP routing: no
    WINS proxy enabled: no
ETHERNET connection to the Local network card
State of the media: Media disconnected
Description: Intel PRO/100 VE Network Connection
Ethernet card 2 wireless network connection:
    Suffix the connection-specific DNS: (EMPTY)

    8. after that, I typed the command: ipconfig/release
and then I got this error...

No operations can be performed on the connection to the local network, although it has its media disconnected.

    9. after that, I tried Googling for some solutions, and the solutions I found were not any use.
    A solution was

    10. opening of Services...
    Start | Run | Type: services.msc | Click OK |
Scroll down to and double-click Client DNS | Set to automatic on startup
    type |
Click apply | Click the Start button | When it starts, click OK
Do the same for the DHCP Client.
Do the same for the remote procedure call (RPC).

    and it still doesn't work.

    11. when I look in the menu network connections, I see my connection with a lock on the side, with a red X under the lock and key. In the description, I see not connected, protected by a firewall. How could I remove the internet connection firewall? I disabled the firewall and that did not work.

    12. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the network card and who does not work either.

It is not the network itself that is the problem.  It is not the modem or the cable. There are no disconnected son or something like that. We have other computers in the House and the internet works fine on other computers. As I said, since I renamed our WiFi network and added a WEP password, I had problems with connecting to my Windows XP computer.

My computer has updates that must be installed as well. Updates would fix the problem? I just need to have internet.

What should I do? Thank you for your time.

    Sincerely,

    Justin

Have you tried to set the value of the link speed/duplex mode? I had the same problem you describe. Your card is only capable of 10/100 communication.

  • Impossible to install XP SP3 (could not find the file specified)

I looked at and followed the steps described in

Article ID: 950717 - steps to take before you install Windows XP Service Pack 3

    I do not have

    • Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit
    • Pack MUI Remote Desktop Connection (RDP) 6.0 (update 925877 for Windows XP)

I tried to install SP3 with and without my Antivirus, Antispyware and firewall running programs (several times – 4, 5, or more).  Each time, I get an error staing "could not find the specified file."  Then after being told that SP3 can not be installed and that "Windows XP has been partially updated and may not work properly", I have to restart my system.

I also followed all the steps in this article (Article ID: 950718 - how to troubleshoot an installation fails in Windows XP Service Pack 3) and still the same thing as above.

I tried to download SP3 directly from the Download Center - same results as before.

I started the BITS service and tried again - same results as above.

I've disabled auto updates and removed to software distribution (download renamed folder as shown) - same results as shown above.

I tried to restore my system to an earlier date - 4 these attempts using different dates and set points during the last wee - ALL have failed.

I also tried the proposals 1 to 3 in this article (Article ID: 950249-how to remove Windows XP Service Pack 3 from your computer), and none of these steps worked.

I spent over 8 hours today and yesterday a couple just trying to solve this problem and still don't get anywhere.  I am beyond frustrated at this point.  I know that say Windows can not work properly, and I need my computer to do my job.  Any help would be appreciated.

You could do a repair installation with a CD of Windows XP with SP3 integrated already.  However, unless this is a new installation that you have installed SP2 on so you could get then SP3 installed on it - you have obviously been broadcast for some time without a lot of fixed security and tastes and your system could very well be stripped because of this.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.

-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).

I try to use migrate your PC, feature of VM Fusion 8 but I see the error in the title of the topic when I try to start the import operation.
