Import bookmarks from Safari to Firefox 36.0.4 5.1.10
I can't import bookmarks from Safari Firefox 36.0.4 5.1.10. I do not see "Library" or "Bookmark manager" or something (I think I saw a function import in an earlier version of Firefox) which is often considered online. I have a white iMac under Snow Leopard (10.6.8)
Any help is greatly appreciated.
When you install firefox for the first time, you should automatically see an import dialog box. If you have already installed firefox, follow these instructions:
1. go in the bookmarks menu, then choose "Show all bookmarks" (gives you the library)
2. in the row of icons at the top, click on the button that has a star with a clock inside icon (fifth from the left)
3. Select 'import data from another browser.
4. choose "safari".
5. choose what information you want to import (you can also import your preferences and history) -

Firefox 15.0.1 cannot import bookmarks from Safari 6.0.1
Hello
Firefox 15.0.1 cannot import bookmarks from Safari 6.0.1.
I followed the steps below:
(1) all bookmarks in Safari to export to a file (file-> export bookmarks) HTML
(2) import bookmarks into Firefox (bookmarks-> Show all bookmarks-> import and backup-> import bookmarks in HTML)Firefox seems to load the HTML file, but never bookmarks appear in Firefox.
Any thoughts of why this is happening?
Best,
Jaime. -.
You need to remove all the attributes of FOLDED into H3 tags with a text editor.
Then the import should work.See also page 2 [932927/questions/932927]

Could someone tell me how to import bookmarks from Safari? Thank you!
I know how to export Safari bookmarks for, say, the office, but how you can import them into Firefox? Thank you...
You can find the entry menu import into the Manager of bookmarks (library)
- Bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > import data from another browser
-
I read in the Help menu which includes the caveat that the material can be exceeded because it is not supported.
The import option has been moved to the file menu in the library window; This article needs to be revised.
- Bookmarks > show all bookmarks to open the library window
- In the library window, backup and import > import data from another browser

Could not import bookmarks of IE9 for Firefox
OS: Windows 7
From: IE9 browser
To: Firefox (version 14.0.1)When I try to import favorites of IE9, only a few folders and URLs are imported (maybe 200 to 1000) to favorite Firefox. Is there a limit on this procedure? Also, I have about 4 levels of depth of folders in my bookmarks. This could be a problem?
I appreciate any suggestions.
Fixed! Once I found the procedure below. It was easy and worked perfectly.
(I did not understand the explanation I read yesterday by someone else.)http://KB.mozillazine.org/Import_bookmarks (the link for help)
To export your IE Favorites to a file:
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Press the "Alt" key to show the IE menu toolbar, if the menu bar is hidden (File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, and Help menu items).
3. In the IE menu bar, go to "File -> Import and Export..." Follow the prompts to export your IE favorites to a file, which will be named "bookmark.htm" by default. 4. After you've finished exporting your IE Favorites to a file, use the Mozilla Suite/SeaMonkey or Firefox Bookmarks Manager and import the file.

However, I found the untouched bokkmarks folder. I is it possible to import/copy it in Firefox so I can use it as I am used to?
Hi ingemar23,
Have you looked at article in the Knowledge Base to back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox ? It contains a lot of information that could help. In fact, you might be able to restore all your data from Firefox. If you only want the bookmarks, there is a link in this article that will give you information specific to bookmarks.
Hope this helps!
