BlackBerry Smartphones default BB calendar

OK, so I figured out how to delete my additional calendars and proceed to their removal. My calendar by default but is still there which, I guess this is supposed to be. I was hoping that wipe all the entries in the calendar and everything again. The main problem I have at the moment is that all inputs are doubled. For example:

* Bob Smiths Birtdhay

* Bob Smiths anniversary

For the holidays, it shows only once

* Columbus Day

So that means the calendar is always find info from 2 sources? How does it work? How can I stop it from happening.

What I'm essentially looking to do is set up a calendar for bot online, my wife and me to synchronize so that we both get updates that are added in line or on the phone. We are currently trying to get Google Calendar for this. Is there a best calendar out there that will provide the same synchronization capabilities?

Thanks in advance

I'm new to the Blackberry Pearl 8130.

I use Microsoft Outlook for my calendar. I have an email address to which I've implemented on the Blackberry. However, this email address doesn't have a calendar that are associated with (and I don't want it...). The calendar application has therefore all appointments under "Default device".

On the home screen, it shows not all appointments at all. However, when I go in the calendar app it shows all my appointments. I've selected the menu button, choose 'Select Calendar' and then choose "Default device" because the calendar is not associated with the email address.

When I go back to the home screen it still has nothing set appointments. I assume he's still associate the calendar with the email address. I do know that not everyone uses the calendar provided with e-mail addresses, right?

Also, when in the application calendar, after selecting "Default device", if I try to add an appointment he will add it to the calendar with the email address and not the "default device" calendar that I use with Outlook. If I need to open another post on this topic please let me know.

Thanks in advance for your help.

OK, here's what you need to do...

    1. download ALL your calendar in Outlook information. Make sure your correct calendar.

    2. then, basically, you will remove ALL your calendar on the BlackBerry information according to the instructions I'll post below.

    3. then, you set the address you want to see your calendar 'default' by the statement in the post above.

Then, everything should be good. I have been facing the problem while you are now and had to do all this as well. Painless.

  • BlackBerry smartphone error synchronizing Calendar using Desktop Manager 4.7, Outlook 2003, on the storm

I just installed Desktop Manager on my PC (Windows XP).

    Contacts sync fine.

    Calendar does not synchronize:

"Schedule of playback device" is fine.

    "Treatment device calendar" is fine.

'Reading of MS Outlook calendar' is where the error occurs:

Desktop Manager starts to read Outlook 988 items and constantly stops at the point #227, with one of the two error messages:

    (1) ' reported Intellisync, unknown error"or

    (2) 'operation ended unexpectedly.'

    I followed the directions for:

How to enable advanced logging for Intellisync because of the failure of the synchronization to the BlackBerry smartphone

    to

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB01451&SLIC...

This operation required that I change the iloptcfg.cfg file.

    Still no luck. any suggestions?

around on this issue... the only way I found to fix this was to reset the device completely and synchronize "fresh" from my computer. Note: has happened since then, and every time that it is when I use the camera to change a recurring APPT. For now, my lessons learned: whenever I need to edit or delete a recurring appt, I do it from the computer so I do not get locked out of sync to the storm.

  • BlackBerry smartphones "BOLD" problem Calendar Sync with PocketMac and Desktop Manager 4.6

    # The RIM case: 5499753

I have 4 email addresses attached to my BB "BOLD".
When I go into Options / Advanced / Default Services / calendar, I have 4 entries (all e-mail addresses).

If I go to calendar, Options, there are all of an additional entry in "Default device" 4 as well as e-mail addresses.

Regarding the calendar by address entries, it is divided as follows:

    Email 1) 1
    E-mail 2) 0
    Email 3) 50
    Default device) 38
    Email 5) 0

When I try to synchronize, the desktop software sees only the #3 email that is my rogers.blackberry.net with 50 entries and sync in Outlook, resulting in a loss of events in my Outlook on my desktop. All events are still in bold.

I can not also move all the elements of the default device and assign it to the category E-mail no. 3, which reduced from 38 to 37 and from 50 to 51.
Once you have received an entry on the device, you cannot change the e-mail addresses associated with the event.

Removing the servicebooks (CICAL all) the default device entry has the combined entries.

Once the service books are sent to the device, it then splits them again.

This seems to be a problem with the Blackberry "BOLD" operating system, or a problem of service book (since when CICAL service books are deleted, calendar entries all combine for peripheral list by default.)

This also happens on WinXP with 4.6 DM, is not platform specific.

OS: 4.6.0.125 & 4.6.0.134 tempted.  Both have the same result.

Just got off the phone with RIM support.

    Here is the procedure:

    All backup data

Do a thorough cleaning (Options, Security Options, General settings)

    Content compression set to disabled

    Save the settings

Return to the General settings, Blackberry press button and wipe Handheld.

Load DM and go to the backup/restore, advanced.

    Load your backup file.

Restore only the peripheral calendar (drag the calendar on the right)

You should be able to see in the calendar options, device default calendar with all the entries.

    Synchronize in Outlook.

At this point, you should have all your entries in Outlook.

Hard Reset (press left ALT + SHIFT RIGHT + DELETE and hold the button until it restarts the device)

Go to the website of your provider BIS and remove all the entries that you want as the default calendar.

Set the date and time on the device.

    Turn on the wireless Radio

Return Service directories from the BIS website.

Go to Options, advanced, default Services.

Set default CICAL (this should be the one you really want to like the calendar by default and the only one on the device).

Set the default CMIME if necessary.

Add the e-mail addresses that you deleted on the BIS website.

    Return service directories.

You should have all your e-mail addresses and no. peripheral in your calendar, by default.

All entries in the calendar should be associated with the address you chose as the default value.

    Resync using DM.

Note - PocketMac 4.1.25 is not supported with the "BOLD".

This creates blockages and major sync issues.

I have run this procedure from a computer running Windows XP with Office 2003.

  • BlackBerry® Smartphones for the calendar default email

    Hello

I use my BB torch for a year with a unique email address and all calendar items are attached to this email.

Having a new job, I have a new email address (+ private) and want to set the new email as default for the calendar (required for the solicitation process). I can choose the new email for each new event but... a defect would be easier...

As I don't want to remove all the old calendar events I really hesitated before deleting the old email address.

Is there a way to set the default address to use for the calendar or delete an old email address without deleting the attached calendar items?

    Thanks for your reply.

    Fred

Hey, Fred!  Welcome to the forums!

On your device, go to Options > device > advanced system settings > default Services.  Change the setting CICAL (calendar) to the address that you want to use, press the ESC key and save your changes.  It will be by default all your new entries to the new email address.  You can do the same for your e-mail address (CMIME) so, if you wish.

  • BlackBerry Smartphone Sync Outlook calendars with several "layers".

    Hello

I have several 'layer' in my calendar in Outlook as Holiday, private, office, etc... When I sync the calendar with my H/H, however not appear only the default calendar being sync. Is it possible to synchronize the other layers as well?  Thanks a bunch...

    Hello

The object is to get all records associated with a calendar, which can be synchronized with Outlook.

The default calendar is the calendar of the device, items synced to it will not correctly synchronize on the desktop.

    (1) delete your addresses of e-mail of the device.

    (2) use the link below to clear the Calendar database.

    (3) recreate the e-mail address you want to associate with your main calendar.

    4) go to default services and make sure that your email address for the main calendar is specified

in the CICAL and CMIME entries. Save it.

    (5) in the Office Manager, specify a one-way synchronization of Outlook to the device for the calendar only.

    (6) once successful, check the calendar of primary e-mail and make sure that all records are there.

    (7) run synchronization for each category separately until you have all the correct data on the BB.

    (8) recreate the second email address.

    (9) send service directories.

    (10) the BB has now all the calendar entries in the calendar main correct email, with no record in another.

    (11) on the PC, delete the intellisync folder and reconfigure the installer for normal 2 way sync.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Outlook 2010 (calendar), do not sync with BB Curve 9300

BB Desktop Manager says Outlook 2010 is not installed, although it is installed. Everything (contacts, notes, tasks) is syncing, but not the calendar.

Sync has always worked until about a month ago. Tried to fix the problem by repairing Office 2010, resettlement of BB Desktop Manager.

    Still does not work.

What's wrong? Why can't I sync my Outlook with my BB calendar?

    Hey oliroyal,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

First, check your services by default on the device under Options, Advanced Options, default services.
If the default services are configured correctly I suggest try to create a new MAPI profile, as shown in this articlehttp://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02083 and then reconfigure the Desktop as described herehttp://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17022 software

    Thank you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Dual Outlook calendar articles

I have a Blackberry Curve 8330 and in sync with the Microsoft Outlook calendar.  I have a lot of articles on my Blackberry that are displayed twice.  They are ok on Outlook but I there twice on my Blackberry calendar.  It is usually something that I don't have a time associated, as a birthday or an anniversary year.  Any ideas why it appears two times on my Blackberry?

they appear to be events every day? or they end up getting some time on the bb? If they get on the bb sometimes get different times? as 12 / 12 and 12:01-12:01?

Open your calendar, click on the menu and options

How many calendars listed? What is? and click on each of them, the number of entries of each?

GoTo homescreen-options-advanced options by default services... which is attached to ICAL?

  • BlackBerry smartphones export device calendar to a common Format of office

I hope someone can help us with that.  I recently updated my curve software (before the backup device... duuuuh).  After the upgrade, many fields "Send help" my calendar entries have changed since the designation of origin "the default device.  Well, as a result, my calendar of the device will not correctly synchronize with Outlook and I have not found a way to force all my peripheral calendar entries in Outlook.  It is apparently a "function".

Now, if only I had saved my camera before the upgrade... But I'm here...

So, I thought I might be able to export my calendar to another common form, .cvs, .txt, etc..  But, I did find a way.  Is it possible that I can export that I'm talking about, or remove it from my backup file on my desktop?  Better yet, what can I do to get my calendar entries that you want to synchronize with outlook.  (I tried to do a one-way sync from my device calendar to outlook, but he ignored the "Default device" entries... I really don't understand why...).

So, why I'm going this topic?  Well, I thought I'd be smart and align my calendar entries for the various email accounts that I have (1 for businesses, 1 for personal use).  So I can color code each so that they appear in my calendar as such so that I could easily see what type of calendar entry, it's color (business or personal).  I used this method because there is no field "category" for calendar entries.

I don't know if there is a problem with the Desktop Manager. I would do a clean uninstall using this guide:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB02206

Then go and install the latest version 5.0 without a manager of media from here:

    https://www.BlackBerry.com/downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22

Also be sure to remove all books with "[email protected] [CICAL]" service to e-mail accounts, don't use only not the calendar. The be sure to move all the entries in the calendar default device as indicates it the previous link on multiple calendars.

If none of this works, you can have a database of damaged on the phone calendar. This would mean the removal of the Calendar database so it can recreate (you can lose some calendar entries unless you have a good backup of earlier). We will see how the suggestions above first work before doing this.

  • BlackBerry smartphone Outlook 2003 calendar will not sync with the storm

A couple of weeks my Outlook calendar (2003) has just stopped syncing with my Blackberry Storm. I have Vista. I was on the phone with Telus and they tried to help me, but nothing has worked.  I downloaded the new software for my Blackberry; I rebooted the Desktop Manager (version 5); I recharged Outlook. I tried to synchronize just a few days.   I loaded the Desktop Manager on another computer and that no longer works.  Tasks and Contacts will be synchronized, but not the calendar.  It turns on, said "wait a minute", and then stops without doing anything.  No error message.  After reading the other rivers, I wonder if the AEFI is corrupt (but have no idea what it is or where it is).  I also noticed that I have more "default device" as one of the options 'Send' - just Facebook and my email address (but have no idea how to get this option).  I worked on it for hours without success.  Any help would be appreciated.

I finally called the Blackberry technical support service and they solved my problem.  I had remove databases (because there was probably a corrupted entry) and remove the books of CICAL service on the device.  Thanks for the comments.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones default e-mail settings

I have the torch with two e-mail accounts.  One is Outlook Express and the other is web messaging software.  Both work very well except during synchronization.  Calendar items on the default value of the torch for the webmail and don't appear on the Outlook calendar syncing.  The opposite is also true (if I make a calendar entry in Outlook, it will not be synchronized in the calendar on the torch.  Contacts seem to find fine regardless of point of entry (office or torch).  Someone knows how to change the default e-mail from one to the other program?

"Outlook Express" is not an e-mail account, it is a visualization software project manager/email information. You must have some account connected to it, where Outlook Express downloads e-mail to your e-mail messaging server, whether it is a private domain email or hotmail, gmail, aol, etc.

Thus, understanding that... You must decide what your "default email" and your "default calendar" on BlackBerry... which of your two email accounts is the default value?

Set this choice options > device > advanced system settings > default Services.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones several shared calendars and Contacts in double sync for 2 or more e-mail accounts

    HI -.

Still in the period of grace, then trying to decide if I was right to go to BB Android.

#1-calendriers - I have two calendars associated with 2 e-mail accounts I put it in the phone and allows to synchronize calendars BIS.  Like the sync wirelessly with both calendars.  However, during my days of Android, I was able to synchronize several shared calendars (that is to say, family calendar, calendar, calendars of the youth sports teams, etc.).  Problem is that if I want to synchronize my shared calendars then the only way is to get them to use Google Sync - but only as 'read only' for all but the main calendar.  Can I bring in shared calendars using BIS in which allows me to make changes to the calendars?  I guess that the calendars I ' own ' I can associate with a gmail account and then synchronize this new account gmail with BIS-, but which appears as a workaround and not a solution...

#2-contacts - since I synchronize contacts from two e-mail accounts, it will bring all the contacts of these two accounts.  It does not appear there is a feature to link a contact who could be in both lists of contacts from email account?  In other words, my wife is in my work email contacts list and my list of contacts of personal e-mail - so in the BB, I have two wives (oh * beep * and I'm from Utah!)  Is there a solution?

#3-email happens to BB super fast (love that!) - so when I delete an e-mail from the BB it emerges from my IMAP service that speaks to my laptop fast enough.  The question is when I delete e-mails from the laptop and then it seems to take forever because the message is marked as read deleted.  Is this normal?

. are #4-there additional updates planned for the browser?  Or a third party that you would recommend.  I was hoping OS 6 improvements would make the web browser close browser Android - but not so much anymore - my memories of my old BB seems to be somewhat similar (that is to say, probably will not use all that often...).  Well, that's a business phone...

    Thanks for the replies!

    Jim

    Newbie... hoping to be veteran...

    Update *.

So the answer on the forum was so amazing I had to weed out the useful responses from those who were not so helpful... j/k

So I'm finally in contact with a technical support person (old-fashioned of anyone who speaks English as much as support-).  Technical support is very helpful - but the final answer is that BIS cannot synchronize with a shared calendar.  If I want to sync shared calendar, so I have to use Google Sync - but that runs the risk of all my appointments being pushed in my calendar by default - and I can't update my calendar (s) shared my BB unless you use Google web interface with the shared calendar.  So sounds like shared calendar is not necessarily a strong suite for BlackBerry...

Second - the duplicate contacts - this is another thing that I just need to choose to show only an email contacts from the account and put my "allow duplicates" to yes if I want to be able to update the contact information for this contact.  Such a disappointment, but hmm...

While speaking with support technical so I asked if the two questions above have been on the 'doing' list for our next update.  The answer I got was "I don't know" - the techie even put me to keep for a while so he could ask some of his mates if they had heard what that either, but they didn't.  A useful 'I don't know', but still a "I don't know."

Third - emails takes awhile to reconcile on the phone when they were checked on the computer (that is to say, appear as read or class).  I was told at the Sprint store that it is just a setting.  I tried to adjust my options of 'Approximation' with two email accounts, but I have always the same question.  Maybe there's hope yet for this topic?

Fourth - web browser - I think I just need to not think about a BlackBerry as a machine of websurfing.  Last night I tried to browse the web at a site and it took me forever!  I think it's high on BlackBerry ' to do' list while OS 6.0 was supposed to revolutionize our web experience.  Oh how I envy for my touchscreen when you surf...

So, now to decide if I keep the Style of back flip BB more in the Android world - the good side of things, my battery life was impressive compared to my Android phone!  I even kept Pandora for a whole day and my battery was still fresh at the end of the day.  Perhaps some of the reason for the battery life is I don't jump on Wiki or search Google to understand the answer to your questions because I knew that the experience would be too painful, waiting for my BB browser, but still... a phone available for making/receiving calls throughout the DAY! Something that I have not had since I'm on BB some time ago...

    Thank you-

    Jim

  • BlackBerry Smartphones using the calendar/Agenda when you don't have a data plan.

Hi all, I just got a BB Curve 9320 model to replace my LG dead.  I use the phone for my convenience only but I fondly I remember my old Palm Pilot and it's wonderful calendar application that allows me to keep track of my life and where I was supposed to be and when.  I had hoped that the curve would be able to do the same thing with its calendar function.  I thought that using the BB desktop and connect my laptop to enable them to communicate that I would have the same function, like the Palm Pilot has made in my previous life of the curve.  Unfortunately, I have not been able to get it to operate than I had imagined... I do something bad or without the data plan is - it simply not possible?

Hello and welcome to the community!

What is wrong is your waiting... what you expect is not a feature designed... a few things to discuss... so bear with me...

Unlike other how things, RIM does not provide a desktop PIM. Others force you to use their PIM and only their PIM. RIM provides a driving software that works as a bridge between your PIM and the BB. See this compatible PIM KB:

    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

So, to do what you want requires the use of a desktop PIM for your data... Choose a compatible PIM (from above). Then, enter your data in the PIM Office. Next, configure the BB to sync with the PIM:

    Hello WVTinyTim,

Remove your Facebook app in Options > Advanced Options > Applications.

I just bought a new blackberry curve and transferred my contacts from a Sony Ericsson. Their birthday information was transferred too but it doesn't have to sync my calendar or I can't set reminders in the contacts folder.

Is there a way to sort this point or an app that actually works?

If you have outlook e-mails, try syncing contacts from BB with your emails of office/computer laptop yo, then re - sync with your BB
