Could use only CD upgrade on a computer

I recently bought a cd to upgrade to windows vista, I have 3 computers in my house, why she only let me use it once? now, the code does not work. It's not fair, I paid a lot of money for this cd! It is anyway I can call and maybe get them to fix cela or did I just get fooled by buying the cd dang lol

You have bought a license and a CD to install Windows on a computer and one computer only.  Read the end user license agreement that you accepted when you installed Windows, and you'll see.

    Im trying to update the drivers on my computer laptop Pavilion dv6-2155dx and found on only two updates from HP site that my laptop came with, and a Nvidia update, but I don't know if my laptop can run the Nvidia update.

    Hello

    Your laptop is listed as having a chip from Intel HD graphics - see specification.

    If this is the case, the Nvidia driver will not work.

    You can see the video card you have, just to be certain, as follows.

    Open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open graphics cards to see your particular device.

  • Can I install Win7 upgrade on another computer after upgrade Win8 on my computer?

    Initially, my computer came with Vista installed. Three years ago, I bought an upgrade to Win7 and installed. A few months ago, I bought and installed an upgrade of Win8 on the same computer. I have another computer running Vista, and I was wondering if I could use the Win7 upgrade license to upgrade this computer. Technically, the upgrade of Win8 could meet the requirements with the Vista license on the original computer. I run Win7 on the other computer without having to buy a new license. Is this possible? The upgrade disks are details of Microsoft.

    Yes, it is possible. Because the machine was originally license with a qualification license (Vista), he would take the place of this license, thus freeing the Windows 7 Upgrade to serve elsewhere. So, Yes, you can transfer it to other Vista machine.

  • You can use the GPO who manage the computer settings to define configurations based on users?

    I know that computer configurations and group policy apply to the associated computers that ot OU configs and users in group apply to users.  We have no access to manipulate the users of my team of Fund, but we were always expected to create the image.  Rather than create an image with the settings of the user (sounds, theme, start menu appearance) we want via GPO as much as possible and let our image as naked and as possible default.  We manage both XP and 7 also, but above all of XP.  Most of them are customization options which we want everyone to have the same (with some exceptions).

    Is it possible to configure the user via GPO settings by using only the configuration of the computer?  Sneaky, roundabout, or dirty acceptable methods with the exception of the script in the connection process.

    Some of what we seek to manage:

    * appearance

    * sounds

    * Start menu (classic)

    * screensaver

    And at the point where I'm asking because I thought that google couldn't help me more, I find my answer.

    First run Memtest86 +:

    Let it run for as long as you can: 2,4,6,8 or several hours (at least 3 full passes), if no errors, then your RAM is OK.

    Gaara_2k6,
    Welcome to the responses of the Forums.  The short answer to your questions are Yes and no and no.

    Depends on how you format the drive, it will delete everything on the drive.  Now, it may still be recoverable with a software specialist or moving to a data recovery company.

    If you formatted your hard drive you would not be able to start to do anything, because there would be nothing on the startup disk.  With the Windows XP CD or with the recovery media provided by the manufacturer of the PC is the only way to reinstall Windows. • I want to use my Windows 8 pre-loaded license to upgrade my old computer

    To comply with my companies policies I had to change the OS in my new laptop for Windows 7. Now, I would like to use the license of windows 8 that came preloaded in the computer to upgrade my second computer. The problem is I don't have the license key and no one can help me to get it back as it is on the motherboard. I paid for the license, and as far as I know I have right to use it on any machine I want for as long I have only on a single computer at the same time, isn't? Now what should I do to get this key?

    Unfortunately, no. If it came preloaded on the phone, it's an OEM
    the biggest drawback of an OEM version and version is that its

  • Can I use my copy of Vista Business upgrade retail a computer with Windows XP Pro?

    Upgrade/license transfer

    I have purchase Windows 7 business plan and upgrade my Vista Business retail version to Windows 7 Pro.  Can I use my copy of Vista Business upgrade retail a computer with Windows XP Pro?

    If you use the license professional Vista as the operating system with a Windows 7 Pro upgrade license then no, you can't continue with Business.

    If you use a copy of the licence of right (standard retail) Windows 7 Pro then Yes, you can reuse the company to upgrade XP.

    Upgrade license replaces the license qualify you for the upgrade license.  That's why the price is reduced from the price of a copy of the full license.  In this case, a license of Windows 7 Upgrade binding Vista Business license to the Windows 7 Pro license and operating permits would be free not to use it elsewhere.

    How install Windows 7 Pro has no importance.  If you use an installation upgrade or new installation method, what matters is the license of Windows 7, to level or standard (full).

    Buy a copy of the full license of Windows 7 Pro to do what you are suggesting.

  • How can I configure my computer to run an application using only a specified quantity of my carrots?

    OK, I have a game called Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The game does not use more than 2 cores, the problem is when I start the game without going through the Task Manager and manually set its priority to 2 hearts my usual game show on my screen, it will be black so I have to run the Task Manager to force the game to close. So what I'm saying is that whenever I want to play the game or launch the application, I have to open the Task Manager, find the game or application, and then right-click to set the number of cores in the processor to use and sound really get some tires. I was wondering if there was a way to instruct your computer to use only 2 cores at the launch of this game. I have Window 7 Home Premium, 8 GB of RAM and a graphics card in Asus R9 280.

    Some cpu overclocking tools have a basic framework of cpu, and you can make a profile for these games, which limits the number of cores. In the past I've used used AMD OC tool for this.

    -If your cpu is Hyper-threading, try disabling Hyper-threading technology.

    -J' saw a few messages about this game, but don't remember any specific game fixed and did not

    heard of him having a problem with quad core cpu.  I have no problem with a quad core cpu with AMD Phenom 965 or Intel 3570 KOTR.

    It is installed without using any sort of compatibility settings. I'm surprised I didn't even

    fixes, or patches. It seems to work without the CD, if you use the StarWars - KOTR.exe spot

    of the LaunchKOTR.exe as well.

    He has run correctly on GTX560ti, GTX770, HD7970 and Intel HD4000 chart, but I don't have

    reminder if she had a little problem with running in a window with pilots earlier or not. Probably not as

    the same happens when you use the Intel HD4000 graphics.

    I just found (rediscovered?) that the game always starts in windowed mode

    (there is no option of mode in the settings or .ini however), but if I change the resolution

    It goes full screen in one of the other options 1280 x 1024 (there are three of what appear to be the same resolution and refresh speed settings).

    When you use two Intel HD 4000 graphics the graphics settings are also not available.

    [EDIT: my machine with the PhenomII965/GTX560ti doesn't have this problem of windowed mode.]

    It is quite rare for games to have real issues with quad core cpu.  Fallout 3 is the most recent

    I met (Yes not nearly as old as KOTR), and it took a change in the configuration file

    in order to limit to two hearts.

    I also had a couple of games that are configured to run on a single core at the Phenom 965 CPU usage at the time.

    I used the AMD OC tool to create a profile with all but a core disabled, for each of these games.

    -I do not use a parameter core with any games ATM, but some games running on

    my machine with Intel processor and 770 a short while back only works on atm HD4000 Intel

    (Memory, they were OK with the HD7970, using the version of the driver 13.9 or 13.12?) ).

    Games that only work with Intel HD graphics card on the machine with the GTX770, always works on my machine with a PhenomII 965 and GTX560ti. Go figure...

    Click on start/search and enter the words: Express upgrade
