Couldn't go to the mode "Eve"

Power settings are set to turn off the display after 10 minutes and go to sleep after 15 minutes, but screen never goes and computer never paused.  How can I fix it?

Hello

1. have there been recent changes to the computer before the show?

I suggest to follow the steps provided and check if it helps.

Method 1: Open the troubleshooter of power:

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-power-Troubleshooter

Method 2: Windows 7 is not going to sleep: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976877

Method 3: If the problem persists, then try to set up your computer in a clean boot state, and check to see if the same problem happens.

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

Install Windows 7 upgrade from vista. Everything works well, but crashes after the mode 'sleep'. takes 3.5 minutes to thaw. Have a hp pavilion a6707c. Vista was faster to return to that.

  • Satellite P850-30W - the fan does not work after returning from the mode "Eve"

    I have a Toshiba Satellite P850 30W with bios 1.90.

Sometimes the fan does not work at all after back mode standby on windows 7.
What happened twice (perhaps several times without knowing me), and Ive had the computers for a month.

Normally the fan starts to run when the CPU gets more than 50 degrees celsius and stops less than 50 celisus...

I tried running Prime95 when this fan-this occurs and the time of the computer got dangerously high (near 100 degrees)! the fan did not start at all
.. .This error could damage the laptop potentinally...
to get the fan turns once again I have to restart windows

    anyone experienced this?
I guess that the fix would be to never use standby... or toshiba needs to fix it with an update of the bios.

    > Sometimes the fan does not work at all after back mode standby on windows 7.
    > What has happened twice (perhaps several times without knowing me), and Ive had the computers for a month.

You said it's happened twice and only sometimes done this means that above all the fans are working well?
In this case, this would mean that it of difficult to reproduce this problem, but you might be right: maybe a BIOS update would help solve this problem permanently

I found some discussions on the stand-by mode and fan activity and in most cases, the update of the BIOS was the key.

  • All computer crashes if I leave it for a few minutes or exit the mode "Eve"

My computer has had this problem for a few days now. Every time I have let a few minutes by himself or pass in mode 'sleep' it freezes. I can not even ALT-CTRL + DELETE, most of the time when I try nothing happens, but sometimes it comes up with an error of reading window

«The login process failed create the dialog security.» Failure - Security Options.
Now Microsoft update told me that the solution to this problem was a patch which I down loaded. I restarted and then let my computer go to sleep. It revives and my computer worked but since then, then she came back. If anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it. I have a deadline coming and I can't afford to have this ongoing problem.

  • The VIsta calendar reminder is not pop up after the mode "Eve"

    Hello

I had put a task reminder in the calendar from Windows Vista program.  But did not recall. I put usually PC mode 'sleep' when finished. So I tested if that did anything. So, I had an appointment for 12:15 and had reminder 5 minutes before.  Put the PC in 'sleep' to 12:00 and he works at 12:20, but the reminder of the calendar has no pop up, even after some time. It arises in place when I open the calendar program.  Even if instead of mode 'sleep', if I shut down the PC and start the reminder immediately opens. If "sleep" mode somehow put reminders in the sleep forever.

Does anyone have idea about this bug?

    Thank you

I don't know a solution. It does the same thing for me. I use the Outlook calendar. The Live, or Google Calendar likely would do anything as well.

Update order Dell tells me everything is up-to-date (including the update of the BIOS) and Windows Update says the same thing. If it is a driver problem, I'll have to restore a previous version. I have not yet run a diagnosis of the BIOS, but I will.

  • Vista wireless loses Internet access after the mode "Eve".

    Environment:
    HP Pavilion dv2610ca notebook PC, broadcom 802. 11 b / g adapter, Vista Home Premium 32 bit SP2, Siemens Gigaset SE567 router/modem.

    Problem:
I can usually connect wirelessly to my home network and to the Internet whenever I start my computer. However, I have close the lid and leave it in standby mode, I can't access Internet after I opened the lid and the system wakes up. The system connects to my home network but cannot access the Internet. It shows a Local access only.

Diagnosis and repair fails generally, telling me that I have a problem with my router. Disconnect, then reconnect usually works. My router power market also works.

I saw lots and lots of issues with Vista wireless networks and I followed several of the recommended actions:
    -updated the driver broadcom
-reset the IP stack by using the tool "Fixit" of Microsoft
-disabled the use of IPv6 in two by disabling the check marks in the related devices and changing the registry TCPIP6 parameters
-modified the registry to activate/disable the DHCP broadcast flag in the TCPIP Interfaces
-J' tell the system not to disable the card Broadcom, but the "Power management" tab mentioned in some articles does not appear in its properties. The only reference to power is "Minimum energy" under the "Advanced" tab, then I disabled who.

    Nothing has solved the problem.

Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it?

I'm not a technical Wizard, so please provide instructions for any action that you suggest.

    Thank you.

I replaced the Siemens router/modem provided by my ISP (Telus) with an old D-Link router and separate modem 3Comm I had been using a couple of years and the problem seems to have disappeared.

I'll close this thread on the assumption that the problem will not rear its ugly head again.

You are able to change the brightness in Power Options Win 7?

    Check this box:
