Count of Pages printed in Win 7
I bought a toner cartridge, supposed to give 18,000 pages of print. I didn't count, but I think I got about 7 000 pages maximum. Is there a way I can count how many pages (or same lines would help) in Windows 7 or in Word 2007? Printer is a Dell mono series 5200n and I just got a new toner!
Windows do not keep track of this. Check your printer, it probably has a counter of pages built in that you can use to keep track of the printed pages. Check the manual or the Dell support website to find.

Canon MX870 printer under Win 8.1 prints pages in the wrong order
I'm transition to Win 8.1 Vista. I have a Canon MX870 printer with the problems of the order of the pages. With my printer settings exactly the same as on my Vista, Win 8.1 machine print a multipage document insists on treatment of printing a document to the rear.
For example, to set the printer as I always FEEL OF LAST page, he treats the last page on the first page of the document. So on a document of 3 pages printed double-sided, pages 2 and 3 are back-to-back, and 1 page is blank on the back.
When I undid the IMPRESSION OF LAST PAGE setting, it made no difference. He has always treated the last page as if it were the first real page of the document. I went on the Canon site and nothing struck me re a fix of the problem on their own.
Ideas?
Auggy - I got it!
I didn't understand at first what suggested you because I had done all this (I THOUGHT!) but the design truly Byzantine Word 2013 defeated all the logic I had previously applied.
The very way which is less intuitive word 2013 works is that it separates the printer between windows Canon printer commands and window, under Options, advanced with the printer controls the latter taking precedence. So no matter what I tried in the print window of Canon, Word 2013 would not allow it to take effect.
WHY IN GOD'S CREATION WOULD WORD 2013 DESIGNED THIS WAY?
In any case, after three visits to the Options Word 2013--> window advanced (at the bottom of this window, so it is not visible at first sight), I realized that I need to uncheck command-last-page to print the word 2013. Print-last-page Canon is taken into account that accepted.
Damn! Why did do so absurd?

Can someone tell me why these numbers are different? They represent different totals?
MelanieHello and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see that you have questions about your number of pages. I would like to help.
The built-in web server does not account for pages printed not across the network. The number of printer pages all the elements. 1434 pages were not printed through the network, therefore, not counted in the SAP.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

Cannot print in Win 8 and Excel 2013 Deskjet 3000 USB plugged - resolved
Hello
Newly installed computer running win 8/64-bit and Office 2013. Have Deskjet 3000 USB printers. Last driver HP and the latest installed MSFT.
Searched for this problem and most seem to be reoslved by changing the print quality settings, I tried all project photo and same result.
When I print from Excel, I see my spreadsheet in the Preview Print print area is correct. I click on print and if I quickly change the status of pinter I see document number go from zero to 1 and then back to zero what any windows spooler. I also changed printer for any coil.
I have no problem printing form other applications Office Word and PPT, or Adobe Reader or my browsers. Just in Excel.
Don't know where to go from here? I ran the HP diagnostic tools and they work very well and that you can get test pages printed on them as well as Windows itself. No error messages at all when the problem occurs, the print file seems to disappear. I can print in a file from Excel and then print this file if its PDF without problem.
Very mysterious!
Thank you
OK update:
I removed the HP software and driver and simply use the native Windows 8 driver and everything is wonderful. Seems strange that doesht mfg driver work but the Windows version only. All that I know is just remove any HP software and the driver and just take the default of WIndows and life is perfect!
Hi rich, happy to hear that the problem is now resolved, thanks for posting back with update

When you try to print in Firefox and when the scale to the size of the page in the page layout, the first page prints correctly, but the following pages do not scale correctly and are too large for the paper, with the parts of the text are cut off at top and right. It is not fixed by checking or unchecking the scaling / shrink to fit page width "ignore" in the print window, or by changing the scale percent.
I am running Firefox 15.0.1, on Mac OS 10.5.8.
The same problem happens in preview print and if I save the copy in a .pdf file
I tried all the fixes in the how to and others in various forums with no improvement.
This happens everytime I try to print a document from scaling upwards or downwards in Firefox.
I note the bug has been fixed and should in Firefox 21 right now, it will mean the use night http://nightly.mozilla.org/

If I print a web page, all simply to print or save to PDF, only the first page prints fine. Page 2 is shifted to the right, such as the information is cut on the right edge. Information is lost in the page break, several lines of text will be lost. If I need to print a page, I open Safari, which does a very nice job of formatting of the page for printing. But I want to use FireFox. Can you help me?The problem persists if start you Firefox in Mode safe? http://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/KB/safe+mode

A "printable page printer.
A "printable page of the printer" generated from the 'Print the Article' button in a Joomla! 1.7 Web site opens a new window of the browser without menu or symbols. Print is not an option in the context of the button Menu right mouse. How to print this "printable page of the printer. (Works in IE9)
Browser: Firefox 5. OS: Windows 7Firefox has existed for 9 years without a context menu item to 'print' and it became the 2nd web browser most widely used without going through a context menu to 'print' - so the 400 million users must have figured out how to get around this short coming or they not print anything or even a whole. Or they are 'customization' of their toolbars and using the ' print' button in the Palette (which as far as I KNOW, IE has always displayed a toolbar). I don't know if a Bug has been filed or a development request to be added as an element of context menu, but without a Bug report without doubt, he would not yet be considered.
The title bar with the orange Firefox button does not appear in the new window? There is a menu item "Print" it.
You have to open a new window with the printer ready version?
Many sites simply open this version in the same tab / window.Or simply not to block the toolbars of projection in the new window.
Or, you can put a ' print' button on your pages printer ready to the use of JavaScript, if this is possible using Joomla. Or even trigger the printer with the link used to open the printer ready display, although I hate it when Web pages-I like being able to do a preview before printing before committing to print anything.
I use a large corporate intranet (a not having global retail merchandising services company no offices for their displays, we work our houses using our own PC to get loads of work and our reports) that opens a new window for every shit that us open, and they print a button for anything that can or should be printed. Something is for our own use for the documentation of work so that we do the work and then we complete a form online at the end of our work for this client, while the other forms need a signature and must be faxed to our headquarters in each country or region. That key is necessary because "printer-ready" pages are in a setting of each task and work without this key the wrong framework would be printed - the 'focus' would still be on the menu in the left whose report was chosen among. Without clicking in the right setting, the menu would be no printed the report, if the user used the web browser print "command".

Pavilion pb-2100 desktop pc: fit to page printing
Can not find the 'fit to page printing' option for the automatic update of the printer. Prints the little pdf with large white frame area. Maybe caused by the upgrade of Windows 10? E-all-in-one printer Officejet Pro 8600. A different print window returns to 'Tip' instead of my normal print window.

Right-click on the pdf file & a menu opens, select Open with and select IE.
Thank you! You solved my problem! I forgot the option 'open with '. Windows 10 removed my IE and put edge in his place, saying that edge is the new IE, or something to that effect. I have rarely used IE in any case, prefer Firefox, but some websites need IE to work right.
To sum it all, your instructions to go 'open with' allow me to select 'PDF Vista', which is the program that I have always before when opening a PDF file. I am so grateful to be able to print things. This edge print page was pretty lame, useless for me.

HP photosmart 7520: 2 Facer print second page prints upside down
The printer did not work properly on Windows 7 I therefore deleted and downloaded the driver on the internet. Now when printing duplex, the first page prints correctly but the page on the back of the first page is upside. Please help me with this.
Hey @Jo38,
Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!
I see you have some problems with the printing of your Windows 7 PC to your 7520 Photosmart e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.
What is happening is there is a duplex option that allows you to alternate between having to return to the page along the long edge or short edge. If you go to where you selected your double-sided printing and change the impression to the other option, the second page will print with the correct orientation.
Please let me know if it solves your problem. If so, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

y at - it an option to print the ip address or the name of pc at the bottom of each page printed, sent by this pc.
I don't think that there is no easy way to do it.
Alternatives can be:
- Maybe insert the data required in the document source (before printing), using features (such as headers/trailers) supporrted by application of document source (for example, Word); drawbacks to this are not all applications supporting these inserts and (once inserted) what happens if the source document is copied to another work station?
- Rather than insert "pc name" or "ip address", you can maybe automatically insert 'document name' on each page ( watermark) If you are using one of the latest HP Universal Printer Drivers - see http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/Print-current-date-on-each-document/m-p/5734909 for a brief discussion of something similar ('date/time' rather than 'username').

DeskJet 3050 a: Alignment Page prints clearly. Docs are not!
Yesterday, I installed a new HP print cartridge (#61 black) in my printer HP Deskjet 3050 All in One, J611 a. (Everything was fine with the printer before installing the new cartridge).
I printed the alignment page, which looked very well - clear, strong.
Then, I placed the alignment on the scanner page and clicked OK. The alignment page has been analyzed and the printer said alignment was successful.
Then I tried to print a Word Doc. The letters and images were not aligned - the entire document had to effect "double vision". I tried this on the parameters of "fast draft" and "best quality". Same effect. Also, I tried to print a pdf file as well as a page directly from my Safari browser. Same effect.
I then tried to change the route. Still, the alignment page prints perfectly. Double no vision. A beautiful look at just the page, I expect. Unfortunately, when I tried to pring a doc: double vision again. I have tried to align the printer, this time by sending orders for the Mac (instead of directly from the printer). Alignment page prints fine. Scan reported successful alignment. Doc printed: double vision.
I cleaned the scanner glass. I have confirmed that there is enough ink in the color cartridge. I then printed a "Printer Status Report." As with the alignment page, the status report is out of the printer looking for very well. And nothing in the report that indicates problems.
Finally, I scanned the document alignment and sent the image to the Mac. The image looks perfect on screen. I printed the image. Double Vision! I then tried to copy the alignment page using the printer copier. Is where it gets very weird: there was a double vision on dashes and and angled brands, but the text and the image of the printer (taking the low third of the alignment page) print perfectly well. In other words, with an alignment page perfectly readable on the scanner glass, I pressed the copy and the result was a double vision for some but not all that printed ON THE SAME PAGE!
Help! And thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
MAC OS 10.7.5
SOLVED! I got a question on this site involving a printer that has not detected the alignment page ("Officejet 5510 alignment page not detected').
The difficulty seems to be to eject BOTH cartridges. That's what I did: (1) ejected the bw, then the color cartridge (2) turn the printer off, then on, (3) reinsert the color cartridge and then the cartridge p.c., (4) printed a new alignment page, (5) scanned the alignment page, (6) printed a Word Doc.
Everything seems to work very well.
I hope it helps others with similar issues to printer.
