County Boolean buttons clustered to array

I'm trying to find a way to have a table output indicating which key depending on which buttons is pushed in a Boolean cluster of buttons.

Essentially if the first button is pressed, the output table would have a value of 1.  If the first button is pressed and the 9th and 10th key, then the output array would be 1, 9 and 10... so on a so forth.

I have attached my .VI with the Group of buttons this output in a table which shows the Boolean value (1 or 0)... but this isn't quite what I am willing to do.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Something like that?

  • Boolean button changes color briefly when you press

    Hi, I use Boolean button is a toggle, so I want only text changes when pressed without changing the appearance of the button.

    I am able to change the color on properties to match the color Off (I use the silver palette so normally is yellow), but when the Boolean button changes to, there is a brief change of color again. Is there a way I can get rid of him?

    In fact, some of my buttons Flash black while others are flashing yellow. I have no idea where this is defined.

    Thak you very much.

    There are 4 colors for Boolean values ON and OFF more past of WE OFF and goes off to WE

    You see only the color of transition when you have the locking set of 'locking' Mech by releasing

    Set on "lock when you press on" and you will not see the colors of transition

    You can set all 4 colors by using the Colors property [4]

    Colors [4] property

    Short name: color [4]

    Request: Development of database system

    Class: Boolean properties

    Usage: Create a property.

    Table of up to 4 (foreground color, background color) pairs, where foreground color is the color of Boolean control foreground and background color is the background color of the Boolean control. Color pairs include False, True, true to False and false to True.

    You can set the color of the object of the façade by plugging in a hexadecimal number with the form RRGGBB or by plugging in the constant color box in the property.

    This property is similar to the option of colors on the page of the appearance of the Boolean properties dialog box.

    If the Boolean control has four (foreground color, background color) pairs for four States, this property always returns an array of four (foreground color), background color pairs during playback. When you write, you can pass an array of length 1, 2 or 4. If you pass in a single element, this property uses the value of the element for all four States. If you pass in two elements, this property uses the first value of the element to false and true false States. Similarly, this property uses the second element for the real and the fake in real States.

    If the Boolean control has one pair (foreground color, background color) for all four States, this property returns an array of pair (foreground color, background color) during playback, and uses the first element of the array when writing. You cannot change a Boolean control with (foreground color, background color) pair to a Boolean control with multiple (foreground color, background color) pairs.

    This property uses only the True to False and False to True States when you set the Boolean control to latch or switch when released. You can get and set these (foreground color, background color) pairs even if you do not have the control latch or switch value when released. they are not used.

    Because this property does not change the Boolean control data, you can set it at any time.

    You can use this property to Boolean control on the Classic, Expresspallets, modernand silver . You cannot use this property for Boolean controls in the System palette.

  • Define the letter 'a' to turn on/off or control a Boolean button.

    My question seems simple, but I have not found a solution to this. My problem is I have a Boolean button and I want to control this button my on the letter 'a' on my keyboard. For example, I hold the letter 'a' on my keyboard and the key is pressed until I hit on my keyboard. I have Koe LabVIEW have the Navigation key, but all who are the function keys and the strange sysbols. Do I just need to use the letter 'a' ideas?

  • Boolean button command tabs

    Hello

    I'm using LabView to run a GUI and I currenlty have tabs with different pages for certain aspects of the GUI. I have a homepage right now with the largest part of my system on this subject, and I want to open tabs by clicking on objects on my home page.

    I tried this programming using the structures of the case and local variables, but I find that LabView gets pretty glitchy when I make, and I think it has to do with local variables, I've heard that they can cause problems when it is most used.

    Does anyone know of a better way I can create a Boolean button that will take me for a specified tab?

    When LabView gave me wrong I had a transparent button on a series of indicators to go to the tab. This may have also caused problems.

    Thank you

    Yes, it almost seems OK.

    You must also create an event for "tab: changed value" and enter the new value also in the shift register. This way the SR and the value of the tab are always compatible. If you do not and you have other cases of event, the tab would reset the value of SR whenever another event fires.

    You can also remove the registry to offset and thread simply to a local variable in the case of the Boolean event. If you do this, you can force the 1 start page.

  • Is this the correct procedure to several Boolean button VI?

    Hello everyone. I did this VI to use several Boolean buttons for my scale (an "Open/Close" button and a "reset" button). I want to make all my camera as boolean commands (ON / OFF) switches or buttons. IM asking this procedure using a while loop. What is the correct procedure. My VI is downloaded.

    In my previous post, a user has helped me and said, can I use a machine to States producers/consumers in this situation, but this program seems a bit Advanced and difficult for me, because I'm inexperienced with Labview.

    Thanks in advance

    Orlando

    Ah, I pointed out the bad control.  I place the event to watch the channel instead of the button.  It's one of the dangers of having several controls/indicators with the same label.  The fixed VI is attached.

    In addition, you need not use the button run continuously.  Simply run the VI normally and use the stop button to stop the VI.

  • How to create a table with strings active by Boolean button

    Hello.
    I have a problem to create a table and did not find any topic in the forum that could help me solve this problem.
    I need to create a table of alarm.
    In other words, every time an alarm has been triggered (Boolean button), the table shows the time, date and where the alarm has occurred.
    For example, when garage alarm is activated, it will be at table:

    Date / / Time / / Garage / / presence ON

    And so on, when the alarm is activated the room:

    Date / / Time / / room / / presence ON

    If anyone can help, I would appreciate it enough.

    Thank you.

    Giuliano06 wrote:

    So I can show the alarm, but when the button is not selected, it sends the null value (empty string) for the table through the registry to offset.

    Also, when I choose for example the 2 bedrooms, it is moved to another column in the table and not just below the last alarm obtained.

    My VI is attached cases someone might have an idea.

  • Boolean index in the array

    In Matlab, often use a Boolean array to access the specific values in a table.

    It is a good way to reduce the itterative loops and improve the speed of the code.

    I'm trying to find a way to do this in a Mathscript node, otherwise the code takes forever to run.

    Common code in Matlab and Mathscript:

    a = [1,2,3,4,5]; % This is normally a much larger range

    b = [1,0,1,0,1]; %I whether Boolean, but by default it's double

    c = b > 0;  b change % to boolean

    d = [9,9,9,9,9];

    The Matlab code is:

    d (c) = a (c);

    d

    > d = [1 9 3 9 5]

    If I run the above in Mathscript, I get the following error:

    In Mathscript, to achieve the same result "d" I currently have this:

    for i = 1:length (d)

    If c (i) == 1

    d (i) = a (i);

    end

    end

    d

    > d = [1 9 3 9 5]

    A slightly faster version is:

    for i = 1:length (d)

    j = 1;

    If c (i) == 1

    e (j) = c (i);

    j = j + 1;

    end

    end

    d (e) = (e);

    d

    > d = [1 9 3 9 5]

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hello

    The code you have posted works fine in the MathScript in LabVIEW 2009 node as well as in the MathScript window and the MathScript node in LabVIEW 8.6.  As such, I'll assume that you have found an error in the window of MathScript in LabVIEW 2009.  We have already identified this problem and currently filed the bug report 151999 for her.  You see error message did not come through in your post, so I guess it is-90026: ' indexes for an indexing operation matrix must be real and positive integers. "  The problem is that we do not treat the indexing variable 'c' as a boolean type.  As a result, it reports an error when it tries to use the index 0 instead of a fake.  We are working on a fix for a future version.

    To work around the problem in the MathScript window, you can use find instead of any Boolean indexing command.  It should integrate more quickly than the implementation of loop that reference you.  Instead of
    d (c) = AC;
    use
    d (Find (c)) = a (find (c));

  • Boolean button that requires a double click

    Is it possible to do a button of Boolean true/false to require two mouse clicks to pass. We want this feature to avoid accidentally clicking on a button that opens or closes a valve?

    @Ian: while I think the general idea is very interesting, I don't like that calendar is encapsulated in the Subvi. While it is not hogging the CPU (which is good), it might give wrong impressions to new developers (no waiting obvious funktion in the loop).

    @OP: if it was only a double click to check, you could do something like in the attachment.

  • How to control the attributes of the sliders with Boolean button

    Hello world

    I would like the attributes of the control sliders by clicking a Boolean. For example: when I click on my button, I want the cursor to disappear or change color...
    How can I do this? I saw that I can select cursor style, color slider etc. in the property of the XYgraph node, but I don't know how to use it.
    Any idea?

    Best regards
    MartinO.

    You first need to identify your cursor active then you can set the visible property of the cursor in your Boolean control. Creating a property node, drag to show two properties, set the first wire of ActCrsr years the number of cursor for it (0 for the first slider). Now select Cursor.Visible for the second property and wire your Boolean instead. You can add other properties after that.

  • How to fire an event with a Boolean button only when you switch on IT?

    Hi, I have a problem with my structure of the event: I use a value Boolean on/off button to launch a State (using producer consumer architecture).

    When I turn it on, my structure of event get "change value" and the code is executed.

    But when I turn it off, the loop in the code ends, but there is a problem: the event 'change of value' is activated again, and the code is run again.

    How can I avoid it? It is not 'on' or 'off' events to the event structure, only "value change.

    Here are a few screenshots, thanks in advance

    J.D.,

    Use the NewVal Terminal in the case of the event.  Who has the value of the control.  If it is true, queue the message.  If it is false, do nothing.

    Generally, it is better to have order in the case of events and to send messages to consumers through queues.  Nested loops as you seem to have can create difficult problems of what must happen when.  It is unusual for a state machine need a nested loop which requires intervention by the operator.  Without the VI all I can really say what you do, but I strongly suspect that there are way more robust and easier to do.

  • Switching with Boolean button meter/press/calendar status

    I would like to have a button (Boolean) change the State of several digital output lines (photo attached):

    A touch of the spirit, I want to create a short pulse (say 200ms) on lines 3 and 4 (simultaneously). After these 200ms, I want 1 line from the States (let's say it was OFF so far, switch on IT) and line 2 is the opposite (WE so far, go offshore). I want to press button to create this short pulse on lines 3 and 4 and switch on the line 1 and 2, States.

    This could be a simple VI, but I couldn't know. I want to go to a data acquisition (USB-6211).

    I hope I was able to explain it clearly.

    Thank you bery much

    If you double-click the express VI, you will notice that it is configured to 50seconds. Set it to a very large number, such as + inf

  • Control two Boolean buttons

    Hi Tim,.

    No, in fact I have not it works as it should, not without trying yesterday evening! The last of them, I sent you (Site_Example_4b.vi) is everything is OK except a significant flaw that maybe you have an idea? Notice when something is turned on as soon as you press any other button (which goes to another State), it shuts down another one that was already on which it should not. Is it possible to keep those who were still on? I hope I am clear.

    Yes, it was easy. You had the tunnels set to use the default value if unwired, and the default value is false. I made sure this forces threads and now it works. See code attached.
