Covert DocumentColorSpace CMYK to RGB?

All,

Is there a way to change color of a document between CMYK and RGB?

I know that the Document.documentColorSpace says 'read only', but according to the literature, it seems that the Application.open () method has the ability to open the document with a different color space, but doesn't seem to work... the documentation:

var fileRef = filePath;
if (fileRef != null) {
     var optRef = new OpenOptions();
     optRef.updateLegacyText = true;
     var docRef = open(fileRef, DocumentColorSpace.RGB, optRef);
}

Another way would be to create an Action to change the ColorMode, actually a few actions to move forward and backward, then have a VBS or AS call these actions, that should do it.

  • CMYK or RGB?

I have a HP Photosmart 3310, and I was wondering if anyone knew is it print in CMYK or RGB?

    Thank you

Ink colors is CMYK. But when you print from the PC, select the RGB color scheme. As the printer driver accepts RGB values, then convert them to CMYK and then send it to the printer.

  • How can I change colors of exact CMYK or RGB values?

I'm changing the colors to exactly the values CMYK or RGB with Lightroom 5.  I tried to convert the RGB, HSL code (since I couldn't find a place in LR to use CMYK or RGB), but when I enter in LR, the color is not correct.  Thank you.

Lightroom does not work with CMYK. So it can't be done.

I'm not aware a way to replace a color in an exact RGB value in Lightroom, Lightroom has only limited the ability to make adjustments "local."

  • How can a Pantone CMYK or RGB code?

    Hello.

I had two color in CMYK and RGB but I Don t know its code in Pantone. How do I know that without a Pantone catalogue?

    Thank you very much

    Colors Ref.png

This isn't really a question for the modules, it is better to ask this question in the forum of a specific application like Photoshop but I did a search on myself that I knew you could do it.

Go to the color picker and select the color you want, it's easy to do with the eyedropper tool which can enjoy whatever color you click on.

Step 1: Double click on the color you just sampled in the field for number 1, see the image below.

Step 2: Click the color libraries button

    Step 3:

See the image above - Photoshop automatically selects the Pantone color closest to you because he is very smart!

If your yellow color is Pantone 116C for example. Easy!

  • Why CC color Adobe and Indesign CC not convert CMYK to RGB the same?

Recently, I used Adobe Color CC to create a color theme that will be used for print and the web.  I created the theme with the CMYK values approved in order to save the. ASE file will be imported other CC apps.  The corresponding RGB, Hex, Lab and TSL values are created automatically.  Of course, we use RGB and CMYK to print to the web

A colleague had separately created the same exact theme of CMYK in InDesign CC and exact by the same CMYK values RGB values I used in Adobe Color.

InDesign RGB values are quite different from the Adobe color values.

Anyone know why the values are not the same, and more importantly, what CMYK for conversion RGB values may be invoked for accuracy?

EDIT: I guess the real question should be, what are the parameters of management integrated into Adobe Color CC colors, and can they be duplicated in desktop applications Adobe CC?

    Thank you very much

    Chris,

Color Adobe does not support color (Web app, or iOS app) management.  InDesign, however, supports color management.  Thus, the difference you see is due to fact that the Id is the color management and the web application is not.

  • Convert RGB to CMYK and RGB image

    Hey.

I wonder if anyone has any experience with conversion of RGB to CMYK and RGB image?

I had a TIF in RGB, then convert to CMYK, but I thought it would be best to keep in RGB, so I converted. I read that he meant to cause losses in the data, but I don't see anything in the image, it's always very huge and 2 RGB files has the same size as well. Is there a way to compare the resolution of 2 images somehow, or how I can see what I've lost through 2 conversions?

    Thanks for help

Data loss, you refer relates to the compromise made when appearing in RGB colors fall outside the range of available colors printing inks. In such a case, substitutions are made in the conversion of RGB to CMYK based on your choice of the Conversion Option > intent found in Edit > color settings. The good news is that if you don't see a color change when you switch from RGB to CMYK and vice versa, this means that none of the colors in RGB mode are outside of the range of CMYK ink. I suggest that intention more appropriate for the mode switches such as the one you mentioned Relative Colorimetry is the choice more practical.

When RGB, clicking Cmd + there will show a color change if the colors are outside the range of ink. Another signal is an exclamation point beside the CMYK numbers in the info panel. To see which areas of the image are affected by the limitation of printing ink, choose View > Gamut Warning.

  • Actions - CMYK to RGB conversion

    Hi all

I was hoping someone could help me try to convert the "color Mode of the Document" CMYK to RGB in an action. The reason for this is because I have hundreds of eps files that should be converted to RGB mode, but the action recording doesn't seem to 'save' the changing of the "color Mode of the Document.

    Thanks in advance,

    Patrick

You must use the command «Insert Menu Item»... "in the menu drop-down of the Actions Panel.

  • CC 2015 CMYK VS RGB PRINT ISSUES

I had problems with printing of documents for Ingram Spark color. I need to be POSITIVE that this isn't something I'm on in InDesign. I got TWO evidence physical return and see that there is a major problem with both. The file contains a master page that is RED and should be in CMYK mode, the exact numbers are 22-100-92 - 9

So, just to make sure I opened the file master .indd to the master page that contains the color spread. Then I watch the FILL box.

If I DOUBLE click THE FILL BOX, the color picker appears and its RGB

But if I click on the ARROW next to the box to fill in the SHADE OPTIONS appears and depending on whether the color is CMYK, I can see the color in the drop-down list (I named the color)

Now, if I go to the AREA of TOOLS and click the FILL area and THAT TOO brings up the color selector and it shows the color are in RGB.

I need the color to CMYK if someone can explain how to do this?

Can how I set the PDF to be CMYK?

Also very important, when I save in PDF Ingram Spark says

    Save as

    Adobe PDF PRESET

    PDF / x-1A 2001

I have it done but that everything that follows?

    GENERAL

    COMPATIBILITY

    Options

    EXPORT OF LAYERS

    COMPRESSION SETTINGS (I'VE NEVER TOUCHED)

OUTPUT PAGE (NEVER ANYTHING STANDING THAT THESE SETTINGS ARE?)

    ADVANCED / OPI WHICH SETTING?

AS INGRAM SAYS NOTHING OF THIS IN THEIR MANUAL

Where it is not entirely clear: PDF/X-1 (unlike other forms of PDF) is CMYK only. There is no possibility to make a PDF/X-1 file has that still contains RGB by accident. Of course the conversion settings are crucial and you must use the CORRECT profile for RGB and CMYK. We cannot tell you what the right profile.

  • Hi Swatch box problem CMYK or RGB

Hi, I work in Illustrator CS 6. I have a new problem. I'm still working in CMYK mode, but recently when I open a new document in CMYK mode in my swatch box scolour shades are displayed as RGB references. My color is set the CMYK. I don't seem to be able to retrieve my CMYK color chart. Help!

I hope that everyone will continue in your other thread, so we can keep it all what he.

  • Export PNG in CMYK or RGB. Changing colors.

Short version: using Illustrator CC. I exported correctly a logo PNG in RGB (sent to the client), but the new PNG logo looks very different from the old PNG logo which has been exported properly in mode CMYK (sent to the client, a long time ago).

Customer wants to know why PNG NEW logo looks so much different than the EPS logo and the OLD PNG logo (all from the same Pantone color).

    Long version:

I recently sent logos to my client in different formats.

I, eps, CMYK, pdf and png eps

Before you create the PNG in Illustrator CC version,

I changed the color of the Illustrator in RGB mode, then converted my colors Pantone to RGB (specific values by the Pantone book), then exported in PNG.

This has created a very different blue than the eps CMYK version.

Someone else on the side customer is working with my files and question why the blues look so different. The eps of Pantone vs the RGB version.

    Problem:

In the past, the png was created correctly - they had been exported in CMYK mode without converting anything either in RGB and they are much closer to the EPS version.

Now, they wonder why there is such a big difference.

I've done the process correctly, I don't know how to answer this question. Why they look so different?

    J,

On this basis since your post #7.

They gave their web and me specific RGB values of the company for their logo.

It seems that you will have to do exactly this. And you must use the RGB Mode for this appearance (to answer the question).

  • CHANGE THE DEFAULT CMYK TO RGB COLOR CHART

I searched for a way to change the default in RGB CMYK swatch.  I've tried everything.  CMYK - even black ARE NOT ACCURATE.  Help?

you just need to change the profile when creating new document

    CMYK is accurate, CMYK printing!

RGB is accurate, displaying in RGB!

the color is a complex thing.

  • How to get a CMYK color RGB values in the DOM (CS5)

    (CS5, Actionscript)

    Hi all

I have an InDesign document containing the frameworks for related texts that border colors are specified in the form of a CMYK picture.

I wish I could get her color specification its closest equivalent RGB.

The InDesign DOM contains a method to do it automatically for me?  If not, are there workarounds?

    TIA,

    mlavie

Change ColorSpace.CMYK to ColorSpace.RGB color space, and ID will do the conversion for you.

Of course, this changes the color applied, so don't forget to reset on CMYK when you have finished reading.

  • convert CMYK to RGB doc, a page behaving odd

I have a problem has spent the last two days trying to problem solve...

I have a doc using black (CMYK) printing and a spot color.

Then I need a web version of the same material, in a different layout, so I copied the pages of a web document (RGB).

This copy provides the task in the doc of RGB.

So after copying, I delete swatch task and assign a standard RGB value.

This changes all the colors of accompaniment to the RGB value as expected.

Everything looks good in InDesign, export PDF 10 first pages show the color properly after the last page is only away from the right color. It seems correct in InDesign and everything is RGB.

    Anyone know what is happening?

Why is it weird that a page?

    I tried:

-new material added to the page of problem and attributed the RGB color, appear correct InDesign, PDF way off

-duplicate a correct page, copy in the new material.

any advice would really be apprecited!

    CS5.5, mac

well, write this reminds me of one thing - the issue page contained a CMYK image.

    duh.

We need to convert our publishers a PDF to EPUB, we have problems to convert CMYK images to RGB, it is an urgent issue, can you advise if you have a solution that we can use in C++, VB.net chosen, or maybe something else that we can use to do it, our PDFs is multi layers , so we must be able to convert images and text positions etc. get the PDF to perform this task.

Acrobat does not support EPUB conversion, but you can export images in a PDF file in JPEG or PNG format using the Tools > Document Processing > export all Images button. This includes a color conversion option in the dialog box.
