  You can't "delete" it, but you can hide it and / or disable (for a button)

  Sorry, deleted this file I put together rapidly yesterday. You always each video object separately on the blade, not in the States! I've recreated the example, here is the screenshot of step + chronology. The selected object 'VideoShape' in the Normal State is a shape with a gradient fill and a text in this example:

  

  For this shape, I have created 3 additional States, as you can see in the following screenshot. I used the same marking as in my previous example, for States.

  

  Each of the buttons (Bt_One...) must trigger the action to change the State to appropriate video. Works perfectly. This will be the video of the event!

• Using Captivate 8, is it possible to animate the movement of an object from the center of the slide upward?

  I have an object in the center of the slide.  The narration continues, I want the object to move up to the top of the slide, so that I can "fade in" a related object (new) just below.  How can I do this with 8 Captivate?  I tried to use the features of the effect and the trajectory, but there is no path back.

  You probably failed you can edit a path (not very easily, should be done by dragging). It is an old article, but still the same workflow:

  It is not possible to apply effects to groups of forms. You can apply the transition from the distribution panel and other properties in the property inspector.

  You will need to apply the same effect of the same duration for all objects in a group in this case.

  Problem: how to have an overview of the effects (such as drop shadow) applied to the objects (jpg) on a question slide.

  Situation: Quiz to tell 5 random questions drawn from a pool of 50 questions multiple choice.

  
  Questions pool Panel:
  I'm building the Quizzing question slides workspace.
  I can view the slide and add questions and answers + jpg images that may be necessary.

  If I want to add a shadow to an image, I select the object (img) and place you in the effect controls panel.
  I add a drop shadow and can make adjustments, BUT the effect is not visible on the slide.

  
  The Live Preview button is grayed out and unavailable.

  
  Overview of the toolbar options are...
  F3 slide... Does not show the effect.
  F4 project... would take too long AND would be not safe to view the slide at which I had added the image effect.
  F12 browser... shows the entire project with 5 random questions but not necessarily the specific slide.

  Am I on the Filmstip Panel:

  F8 this slide... If I select a blank Question slide at random, it shoots a question of the pool of 50, but not necessarily that I'm working on.
  F10 then 5 slides... same problem as F8

  Unacceptable workaround solution:
  I can create another pool 'test', containing one question.
  Copy slides edited to "test the pool and the preview with F8 or F10.
  A lot of extra work...

  Then the effect works and would weigh on the finished quiz... BUT... I can't (without a lot of P'ing on) Preview and adjust effects applied to a question slide.

  If you want to test the effects on a particular slide of your pool of the Question, and you don't want to publish all slides to see it, just click with the right button on the slide in the question pool and select move Question to > the project main.

  Then, you will be able to preview the effects as with any other slide.  When you know that the slide is over, just get him back in the Question pool.

• Size of the very large file for a single slide - is this normal?

  I work at 8 Captivate with .cptx file size ~ 500MB. I wanted to send an example of a click box (including placement, size and text indication) to a colleague. To make it easy for him, I want to send a single slide with this interaction, so it can copy and paste.

  I saved the file under a new name, and then I deleted all other slides. The size of the new file was still almost 400 MB! Then I deleted all unused library items and the link to a .ppt presentation. This reduces the size to about 300 MB.

  It's normal... Unfortunately.

  Copy slides in a new empty project of the same size.  It should be small then.

  What you can do, it's all the layers except the nest bottom.

  I just tried it to make sure I understood it correctly. I took a picture and placed on track 1. Then I placed the same image on track 2. I have cropped the top for display on the left and bottom half to show on the right half.

  I put a three track adjustment layer and added a fast color corrector to make all too red.

  Then I selected 2 and track 3, right click and they nested together.

  Now that one side was too red, because the adjustment in a nest layer changes only the clips inside the nest.

  Look in the timeline panel. More specifically, the area where names appear on the left side. Now, look down. You should see a small speaker icon. My guess is that you've clicked on it to cut it. Jump to the right and literally SCREAMS she's dumb, right?

  Please report only as a problem to Adobe. Ask a clearer indication!

• Captivate 8 - small gaps between objects and the end of the slide?

  I have a selection of objects on a slide and have noticed that there is a very small gap (less than 0.1 seconds) between some of them and the end of the slide.  This applies only to certain objects. All objects are set to falter (via the timing tab) and the deficiencies mean they fade sometimes slightly different, which is really irritating.  This seems to happen even if I manually set the timings of the object (again via the timing tab) so that each object must be on the slide for exactly the right amount of time.

  Has anyone seen this problem before?  If so, is there a way to bypass?

  I figured out, and now I feel very stupid!

  The problem with objects is not the tail was because I changed the zoom on the timeline, from 100 to about 80%.  Return to 100% causes the objects to align again.

  The problem with the objects fading out at the wrong time was not related and because I had accidentally changed the duration of the effect of 0.5 second to 0.1.

• Offset path under object vs effects

  I have several fillings as a single object. When I select the fill and the lag path under 'path of the object-offset' I get a different result, then go to "effects-path-shifting."

  I'm having a hard time finding the difference in a way that makes sense.

  Under objects compensates the entire path and all the fillings and follow the strokes. The direct effect can be targeted to compensate for one of the attributes of the path.

• Just title/text effects to a single line?

  As far as I understand the effects of title/text PE11 work only for a single line of text.

  (1) how can I produce several lines-text effects with PE11 (and more complex, like the 3D animations)?

  (2) If this is not possible, you know a beginners/free software to do this?

  Ronald,

  You are right. The title preset animations only works on a single line of text.

  However, there are several ways around this limitation.

  I like to create just the title, that I need and then Keyframe the fixed effects > Motion > Position, make the animations/conduct. Like most of the added value effects such as blur and many others, can also be animated with keyframes, it is limited only by their imagination. These effects of alterations will apply to the title, regardless of however many lines of text or other objects is on the title.

• How to effectively create a single waveform based on data from two other waveforms?

  I have a table 1 d of waveform with size = 4 which contain data of voltage potentiometer "gross".  I need to handle index 0 & 1 waveform data using the formula below to calculate a single waveform of angle data.   I need to do the same for the 2 & 3 index because it is a redundant circuit.   I was hoping that the formula node can operate on whole berries and even if it may take a table as input, it asks me to the array index in the formula so that it becomes a scalar value.

  As the formula is quite complex, I would like to keep as text, but run automatically on each point of the two input tables.  This math is done online with pulling data from a data acquisition and so I need it to be as effective as possible, so that I do not spend too much time on it and likely to overflow the buffer DAQ.

  The naïve solution would be to wrap nodes formulas with curls, but I don't know if it is this is an effective way to do it.  I'd like suggestions on how best to address this issue.

  Here's how I would do it with no formula requires knots or loops:

  

  If you want to use the formula node, you can then run a loop inside each node formula while the index of you through the berries.  The difference in performance between the nodes of the formulas and graphic approach expected to be negligible.  Note that my approach assumes that the table sizes are the same.  You can also create a sub VI to contain the math so you don't have to maintain two copies of the same piece of code.

  So I'll try to put this object on top of each other after a video of a design or model, I liked (video enclosed). For some reason I can't understand what I'm doing different. I build the numbers in a different way because I'm not able to do the same things he does in the video, but I get the same finished design. Any help would be appreciate it a lot. Around 04:03 minute is the part that shows that it opposes on video (recommended slowing down its speed). The pictures are a representation of what I have so far and what is my problem: when I move each object on top of the other, or when I try to do the black people around him like in the video I do not get the same effect.

  When you combine then everything will be added. You must first subtract the most small to the largest circle and then add the rest of the forms.

  There are a couple of other ways to do this.

• multiple bevel effects on a single layer?

  Hello, I decided to participate in the PSCC, and already, I was really happy to know that there is support for layer on groups in CC effects, but in the latest version there is even support to add multiples of the same type of effects on a layer (for example, "stroke") but not all the effects have this option. I was wondering (and hope!) if it's something that will be in a future update?

  As a more minor feedback, I have also not found a way to remove additional effects: say that I added 4 effects of 'coup' in a single layer, that I have not found a way to remove the extra 3, I have created. It would be really awesome if the whole layer effect function has been more than one function "on demand" where you can freely add/remove as many effects of each type as you want and start with a clean slate "" so to speak.

  In any case it is certainly moving in the right direction for what I use it for.

  You can either click on one of the traits in the layers panel and click the trash downstairs, or

  

  Double-click the effects above the strokes in the layers panel, select the stroke and click on the trash can in the layer Style dialog box.
