• Captivate 9 just all my conditional actions converted to standard actions

  This isn't a problem converting 8 Captivate. I spent several hours this morning, creating conditional actions and by assigning them to the learning map that I create in Captivate 9. I save the file several times along the way and also at the end.

  Then, I went to lunch and attended a meeting. When I got home and has reopened the case in order to duplicate and modify the existing conditional actions, I found that they were converted to standard actions, and my settings of variables and expressions had been dropped.

  I have not a screenshot of what it is supposed to look like - these are actions "and then" which were associated with the first condition. The second condition and all the "else" statements have been abandoned.

  I had to have this ready to present to my boss before the end of the day--and I would have, if I didn't all start again. And how do you know if that this never happens again?  ARGH!

  No, they have not installed the patch for 9.0.1.320 nor the 9.0.0.230 fix. You are always on the first version that had this bug, resolved by a hotfix released shortly after the first version. This patch is now included in the patch you need to install as soon as POSSIBLE.

  I have a massive document that was given to me after be imported into Word, and the person who has imported, it did not convert tables to text (or they tried and it did not work, be it, I have a huge amount of tables that must be not filed).

I was able to batch-process other formatted in the document with the help of find + replace, but I can't seem to find a way to search for all instances of a table in the document and convert all the table set in shape to the text. I can find every table in the search/replace tool using < 0016 >, but I have no idea how, and then delete the table set shaped with the change function.

  I have no text special requirements (standard; tabs for columns and new paragraphs for the lines) and all tables should be converted, regardless of their formatting or content, so it's fairly simple formatting.

• How to convert all layer groups

  Hi all

  I have a huge file with several groups containing each mutiple subgroups containing... you guessed it, many other groups.

  I need to convert every single file group to a layer and follow the same order (groups, subgroups and so on) to make this design usable and editable.

  Unfortunately, I have zero skills in programming or JS.

  Has anyone faced the same problem? I'm looking for a script which create layers, name them and transfer the content automatically into the appropriate layer. It would be just w-a-a-a-a-y-y-y long do it manually because the file contains more 20 000 forms (most I have several other files that I need to convert the same way).

  Any help would be much appreciated!

  OK, give it a try. It works best if you start with only 1 layer and this layer has only groups within higher level.

  The documents should never spontaneously of course change the bit depth.

  Opening a Camera Raw image in Photoshop, the title of the document should not end in '.psd' until a backup (in PSD format). Have you made the steps other than the ones you have described?

  Your thread title says "all my images. Do you mean that you have had many 16 - bit documents open in Photoshop and all except one of the inactive tab in your screenshot became mysteriously 8-bit?

  Look in the history panel after a doc past from 16 bits to 8 bits. There is an element named "8-bit/channel"?

The files HAVE, so I can import them into my program of police later, and they open fine in illustrator. The problem is, usually, I save my vector images with a white background instead of alpha. Now, I need to replace the white by alpha, but I can't find a wand helping in illustrator . Any help?

  In terms of Illustrator, you talk about giberish.

  Indicate EXACTLY step by step and WHAT you do and what you want to get the results. There is no 'alpha channel' in Illustrator. you are dealing with objects, not pixels.

  You have enabled "Any of the true conditions" instead of "true conditions." All variables have the value 1, not only a 4. You need a combination AND as I explained in the blog post.

  More: Please group objects: all your text (purple, blue, yellow...) in a group, then you need only one statement of Hide, followed the show.

  while I found little code to run applescript action I need to be able to do from JavaScript. The documentation does not mention at all of the shares.

  It would save me a lot of work if I could just perform an action that changes the color of the document to CMYK instead of having to duplicate all objects in a new document (I have already created the action and it works)

  This brings me to my other question: are there really no "select all"? It takes almost 2 seconds (at least if the Profiler is right) just to select a simple 300 objects in my test file. I need to batch process something like 30 records that could prove more complex and I don't like the idea to say to my colleagues that they should wait for so long...

  Is there a better way that a loop through pageItems and setting .selected = true?

  I could imagine performs an action that selects all objects (how to copy actions to others machines. btw?) or to run the shortcut (Ctrl + a).

• conditional actions in Captivate 6

  I use the trial version of Captivate 6.  I just started using more complex advanced actions, so I don't know if its me or the software that does not work

  I have a class which forks.  The user chooses a course of action on slide 2, and they move in the course.  However, I need them to see all the path options until the course is completed, so on the last slide, he brings them to slide 2.  I want the possibility that the initial of the user selected grey outside, so they click on a new option.

  Here are 2 Slide.  The transparent blue circle should only when returning to the slide for the second time if the user has clicked this option before.  I even added the variable to the slide (just for me) to make sure that the variable changed from 0 to 1 when you click on it.  The part works.

  I tried to set up a tip action that will not allow users to move forward until they have clicked on the 3 themes I want to see again them.  I assigned variables, follow the tutorials and do everything now.  Please help how I my Advanced actions set upwards... everything shows and hides all work so I have to assume that the assignment of variable works as well.  I used numbers initially and changed my value of the variable of "dude" just to make sure I was not missing something.

  Something escapes me in your question: How do trigger you the conditional action? I suspect that he is never executed, but may be wrong of course.

  I created a small example to check: slide contains 3 buttons that trigger an action condtional with two decisions. The first decision is a simulated standard measure (condition 1 = 1 is always correct) assigns the value 1 to the variable corresponding user and displays a caption text, that was initially hidden. This is a screenshot of this first decision Stand for the first Bt_One action to be triggered by the first button:

  

  The second decision Check is the action of condtional real, very similar to yours. This will be done after the first decision:

  

  Create a duplicate of this action for the other two buttons, you only have to edit the first decision where the user variable needs to be changed.

  In my example, when you click the last button (regardless of the sequence) all the text captions should have been disclosed (I na not hide others, but you can do the same of course) and the second decision check will result in a positive response, so the playback bar appears immediately.

• Help conditional Action.

  Ok.. so I found a video on creating a conditional action on ADOBE TV... Excellent. However when I get to the part where I apply it to a button I encounter THIS problem.

  

  ADOBE TV video is on the left... my screen on the right. As you can see, it applys the conditional action to the button using the 'ACTION' of the object properties section, but when I look for the same 'ACTIONS' menu in my CP7, apparently does not exist.

  You can find the settings for captions to show lower in the properties panel, under 'Options '. (Assuming that Captivate 7 has the same general layout than previous versions.)

  You don't have to do anything.  When you open your iPhoto library with the new photo app that the existing library is migrated to a new library of Photos.  However, as with any operation should have a current backup before proceeding.

  OK, the documents are not actually changed, not at all.

  What happens is that under Windows, you can choose which application opens a type of file when you double-click. (You can do yourself by right click, open with...). When you choose the application, all files take this icon. The files don't change, just the icon. In this case, the Wikibrowser tells Windows that it will open all your PDF documents, so changed the icon.

  But get rid of this malware as soon as you can. One of my friends had this and other things and kept just malware download and install more malware. In the end, she had something more than 4,000 to get rid of!
