Windows XP Professional SP3 installation diskettes
I restore my old computer, and I need floppy disks to install Windows XP Professional SP3 to do this, because my old computer will start only from a floppy or hard drive. Can I use diskettes of Windows XP Professional SP2, or do I floppy disks for Windows XP Professional SP3. If I need Windows XP Professional SP3 diskettes, where can I get their (answer with a link if I need them). Thank you!
You realize that the diskettes 'setup' will not install any version of Windows XP, but only allow you to start the installation process which must end with an authentic Windows XP installation CD?
The disks are only for the limited, rare, cases in which you have a CD player and a Windows installation CD, but for some reason that your computer does not start on the CD. Y at - it an update of the BIOS available that will allow your computer to boot from a CD?
As far as I KNOW, he is there no version of Service Pack 3 of these disks. If you have an installation CD for Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3, try the SP2 game.

Hello, as I said in my title, I reformatted my IDE HDD and reinstalled Windows XP Pro SP3, and before that it loads, s it just shows a BSOD screen without me being able to read. Anyone know the problem?
Microsoft? Why always SP3 Gets the problem? -__-
Did disable the auto reboot not to reveal information of BSOD?
On your SkyDrive, you must click on share, change permissions and adjust the slider upward, so that we can him.
In fact, you have an XP with SP3 installation CD? It's kind of a miracle here.
Where did you buy that and when you bought it (just curious).
I'd take a peek here first:
http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/document?LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&DocName=c01457284
and then here (too much info really):
If you need help, enter the XP Recovery Console, just ask.
Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.
You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive. These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load. If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.
When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:
Press any key to boot from CD...
Installing Windows... going to pronounce.
Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.
Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)
You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).
You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS. It's the same as the
C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.
The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.
For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

Download Windows XP Professional SP3 update installers?
I have an old computer running Windows XP Professional SP, and he needs an Ethernet card. Unfortunately, I don't have enough money to buy one for her. Is it possible that I can download all the updates that are released for it and put them on a drive flash or something to install? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello
Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community Forums.
According to the description, it seems that you are having problems with the installation of the updates you don't have ethernet card.
For the installation of Windows, the computer updates must be connected to the Windows Update server to search for updates. Unless you're connected to the Internet, you can not connect to the Windows Update server. Then I suggest that you use the media of Internet connection to check the updates, and install the updates.
I hope it helps. If you have any questions about Windows in the future, please let us know. We will be happy to help you.

Hi all
Hi Patfaucher1974,Your question seems incomplete. When you say "Windows is no display on the screen stop" means that you do not get the screen that says "closing Windows"?-You are unable to shut down your computer?-If so, can remind you to make changes to your computer between the calendar when things worked fine and now?Try the steps listed in the article below and check if that helps you:
Your computer stops responding when you try to shut down in Windows XP

Where can I get an Image of CD of Windows XP Professional SP3 ISO?
I ran Sfc/scannow from the cmd prompt to try to correct a mistake that I get all the time where windows Explorer stops. I want to know if I'm missing some necessary files that may be missing or damaged. My original operating system was windows xp edition media however when SP3 has been loaded, it now comes in saying that I have windows xp professional and therefore the Sfc/scannow verifcation process asks me to insert your CD of Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 which of course, I did not because it was downloaded from microsoft update. I downloaded "xpsp3_5512. 080413 2113_usa_x86fre_spcd.iso', based on one of the forums MS and it burned on a CD, but when I put the CD it says that it is the wrong cd.
This is because it IS the wrong CD.
SFC/scannow seeks a Windows XP CD (it is the SP3 level). I guess you can create your own CD XP SP3 level, in a process often referred to as "slipstreaming". And then, even if you go through all this extra work, I agree with JoseIbarra SFC/scannow will almost surely not fix your particular problem.
(In addition, for what it's worth, XP MCE is a superset of XP Pro, and that's why you get this particular message.)
Why not just tell us what is the real problem, then we can guide you to a solution?

The upgrade from Windows XP Home Edition Windows XP Professional SP3 SP3
I need to upgrade to Windows XP Home Edition SP3 of Windows XP Professional. I'm a small business and 3 computers running Windows XP Home Edition. I need run Windows XP Professional to join a domain. I was wondering if doing updated since XP Home SP3 I need to upgrade to XP Pro SP3?
Hi jackieT387,
Thanks for posting. To perform the upgrade, you must download the House to a pack of equal service than the Pro version. After having done that, you should have no problem, perform the upgrade.
I hope this helps!
