  • CPU indicated as compatible HP does not seem to be compatible.

I have one P6313W. I was looking to upgrade the processor. Upgrade processor HP section said that the processors "AMD Phenom II X 4 9xx/9xxe/8xx Quad-Core (Deneb)" were compatible. I bought an AMD Phenom II X 4 965 and installed only to receive an incompatible CPU at startup error. It turns out that the power of my CPU is 125w and max that will accept my MoBo is 95. Now the section of processor upgrade HP says nothing about the power and CPU I bought was listed as compatible. So my question is, is there a way to get around the limit of CPU power (and that would be even smart) and if not, what is my recourse to buy a $100 processor + who doesn't even though HP says it would be? I know, run-on sentence

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion p6313w and its card mother M2N78-(Violet6). According to the specification, this model supports processors "AMD Phenom II X 4 9xx/9xxe/8xx (Deneb) Quad-Core", as you have already said. Note that it is not the "b" list - Business or 'BE' - Black Edition CPU compatible. In addition to not be listed as compatible, the AMD Phenom II X 4 965 comes in 125 w and w 140 versions hanging next to TDP 95 watts of the motherboard.

Sorry, but there is no way to use this processor on your motherboard. Further, there is no recourse as the CPU has not been listed as compatible. If you were able to overcome the problem of power in watts TDP and the question of the BIOS, you would probably ruin the motherboard using the CPU.

  • Upgrade CPU Hp Pavilion DV5 1130ep

    Hello

I have a Hp Pavilion DV5 1130ep with the following specifications:

    HP Pavilion DV5 1130ep

    BIOS: F.38 (last)

    Memory: 3 GB DDR2 pc2-6400 (2 + 1)

    Motherboard: Quanta 3600

Graphics card: Ati mobility radeon hp 3400 series

    Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X 2 QL - 62 2.0 ghz.

OS: Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.

I recently bought an AMD Turion 64 X 2 ZM86 2.4 ghz cpu on Ebay which accordingly to manual, it is compatible with my laptop:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01550108.PDF

After you install the cpu on my hp pavilion dv5 1130ep amd turion laptop after a few minutes, freezes or restarts without warning, turning a 124 blue screen error code that indicates a possible hardware failure.

I ran other software of test (prime95) cpu indicating also equipment failure "illegal sumout" on one of the cores.

It described does not with the previous processor.

Meanwhile, the seller sent me another cpu but the blue screen error remains the same, although the error when running prime95 this time is 'expected 0.5 less than 0.4"also on one of the cores.

Have also reset the default bios with no result.

Ran Windows 7 memory test without error to report.

This does not occur with the original cpu (AMD Athlon 64 X 2 QL - 62-2, 0GHz)

Error occurs more quickly when I play a game or just simply restarts without any special provisions.

Am I missing something, or the two cpu is damaged?

    Thanks in advance

Yes, the manual says that CPU should work either discrete or integrated graphics type motherboard. Laptop processor upgrades, are at best, a roll of the dice. It is very unlikely, you will get 2 defective processors, but eBay sellers of CPU are notorious for palming off defective processors.

I could try a plus from a seller in different before throwing in the towel.

  • Publish with the ID of platform for the specified CPU in Regedit - NEED HELP

    Hello

    I bought a new HP Zbook G3 with windows 7 64 bit

The question I have is registry picks up 32-bit like the platform ID even if the system is 64-bit.

Run 64-bit programs works fine as long as I can install and this is where it happens the question.

-Installation of 64-bit program works very well if its not programmed to a compability
Search for drivers against the platform ID registers.
-If it don't the recommended microsoft check platform Setup normally closes
to get the information that the platform is a 32-bit system.

I tried in vain to solutions:
So far, I have tried to remove the ID platform manually, and then restart but it still captures platform as 32-bit default ID.
I also tried to remove the platform ID and then replace it by manually creating platform ID REG_QWORD 0 x 00000040, always after that restart the platform ID is default back to 32-bit.

  • ESXi 5.0.0 VM crashes - cpu 0?

    Hello

    I administer a machine running esxi 5.0.0 with a sbs 2011 VMS.

Today that VM does more - this has always worked but very very slowly

on the resources tab, the cpu indicator is and remains 0 Mhz.

The host has nothing else to do.

I have a good candidate as the cause.

Within the virtual machine (sbs, 2011), yesterday I installed an e-mail archiver application.

On a previous physical server and with an earlier version, this software sometimes caused high cpu loads.

The archiver should be originally, why suddenly high cpu load would esxi cut of cpu resources?

The sbs2011 has a minimum cpu reserved for him

I restarted the VM, stopped the archiver tool and am now crossing my fingers the virtual machine does not freeze again.

    Question:

    (1) what happened?

    (2) can I force esxi free virtual machine cpu?

    --------------------------------------

The same type of gel that's happened once or twice after the initial installation of esxi, now a few months ago.

But once I put a cpu/memory reserve, it has not reoccured.

    --------------------------------------

syslog is not available, only after the reboot I put syslog (beginner and all that )

After 8 months and many failed attempts, I finally found the reason

    http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalID=2000382

conclusion: do not drive cd on the host machine.

  • How to set up an alert for cpu use > 90% on a processor Intel Pentium 4 cpu solaris box

I would like to set up an alert to warn me if the CPU usage is greater than 90%. The problem is there are 4 processors. I can create an alert for each of them to the cpu separately, but I would like to
usr auto-regroupement CPU and have the fire alert if all 4 processors reach a level of 90%. Is it
what I would do for the cpu monitoring.  I know that in the past our mysql service would get in a loop and use 90% or more of all processors.

You must use the "CPU usage" metric platform rather every CPU indicator.

  • iTunes uses 100% CPU usage

Hi, I use the latest version of iTunes 12.3.3 on Windows 7 64 - bit with Intel Core i5 and 8 GB of RAM. Whenever I run iTunes, everything becomes so slow. I checked my PC's performance in the Task Manager and the CPU usage is 100%. The strangest part is that even if I close iTunes, it still consumes my CPU at 100%. I tried to reinstall several times. I even downloaded it three times but nothing helped.

    Hi salonpas,.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with iTunes on your PC. Let's see if we can get smooth it.

Now, I know that you have already uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled, but you did in the order indicated in the article below. If this is not done in this order, usually issues will remain when you use iTunes. The order in which it should be done is this.

    1. iTunes
    2. Apple Software Update
    3. Apple Mobile Device Support
    4. Hello
    5. Apple Application Support 32-bit
    6. Apple Application Support 64-bit

Once you have done this, try installing again.

Remove and reinstall iTunes and the components of the software for Windows 7 and later versions

  • How to kill the cooling system warning that slows down the CPU?

    Laptop: Satellite S2450-101

    Please help me ;-)

I had problems with a fan on the motherboard connector. I'm a "craft" bridge to make it work. Now, I was able to control temperatures: I do the works of CPU to 100% and the temperatures indicated by 'SpeedFan' remains to the "Local Temp = Temp 36 ° C / 44 ° C and 43 ° C = Temp1 = remote." The exhaust gas remains 'soft' and never hot as bafore (60 ° C and more). Now, I think it's actually safe... BUT... I still have a lot of unpredictable warning that slow (and it's deep...) of the processor.

It is said (translation from the french): _ "WARNING: an error was detected on the cooling system." Shut down your computer immediately and consult our provider "_".

To be honest, I don't know if this is really the connector error... maybe other hardware (probe...) or a software problem. * I just can't use my computer with this warning... Please, help me to kill this process or perhaps only to stop the "crunch" of the processor *. I do research in the registry, but without success.

    Thank you.

    Best regards.

If I understand you correctly, you manipulated mainboard and now you also want to manipulate this warning.
As I know the owners of laptops have no influence on this warning and you can not disable it so just.
What would happen if each of us might be able to turn off all annoying warnings and ignore the material damage?

Let's see what other forum users have different opinions.

  • PRO 3400 HP desktop computer. : HP PRO 3400 CPU upgrade.

Hi, anyone knows the best/upgrade CPU to speed things up, which won't break the Bank?

"RE: best/upgrade CPU to speed things up, which won't break the Bank.

It's a decision you'll have to do. We have no idea as to the limits of your budget.

It also depends on what is currently installed CPU and your use of plans for the PC.

If you have a clocked Intel Core i5 processor already installed, then go to an SSD.

Compatible processors for her are indicated in the following HP document.

  • MacBook Pro random high utilization of the processor (iCoreService/DCAManager using + 400% CPU?)

    Hello

I'm running an Early 2011 Macbook Pro running OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 with a 2.2 GHZ Quad Core i7 processor 1 TB Samsung 840 EVO SSD and 16 GB of RAM Crucial. I noticed for about a month, I'm going to do a simple task or two on my Mac, then all of a sudden I noticed spikes CPU temporary, 90 + degrees C and the kick of fans trying to cool high speed. Well, I don't know why this is happening when I do nothing to justify a high utilization of the processor. I'm used to the CPU running hot when I do something intensive graphic as running Autodesk Inventor CAD software, run a machine virtual or even watch a 1080 p @ 60 fps video on youtube (it is the lowest resolution that requires the Mac switch to the dedicated AMD Radeon 6750 M GPU that usually eventually warm it quickly) , but this use high random that happens when I have Mail open in the background, and one tab open with a 720 p @ 30 fps video Youtube open (or even less). I took a few screenshots of the activity Manager indicating the best processes and Intel Power Gadget indicating the temperature of the CPU:

Does anyone know what are iCoreService and/or DCAManager and why they use so much of my CPU when this happens? And someone has encountered this weird behavior before? Thanks in advance!

The most likely cause is an applicztion you have running that is corrupt and forcing them to use the CPU too. Were you able to kill the process in activity monitor? If you have not yet tried to do, so I'll try that first. I would also try to quit all open applications.

If you start the computer in Safe Mode , you can test if the problem is still there. If it isn't, usually means something that is managed by you start-up or an application that you use may be the cause.

  • Satellite P200D - 11L: Vista Device Manager indicates a bad CPU?

    Hello

    I just bought p200D - 11L with turion 64 x 2 TL-60 2, 0 ghz with Vista and the problem is that the hardware Manager shows x 2 athlon not stalk TK-55.

    Why is this?
Have I been wrong or something?

This CPU is indicated in the properties of the system?

I checked the specifications in the internet and it seems that unity P200D - 11L was equipped with AMD Turion 64 mobile 2 X 2 TL - 60 CPU!

In my opinion it of a entry all simply wrong in the Device Manager.
    The solution is:
Remove the CPU of the Device Manager and restart the computer again.
Then the CPU must be recognized again correctly, please check this!
