  Hi, I'm relatively new on VMs, but have been playing with them for about the last 6 months. I have an ESXi host that is running 4 comments VM, and I can't understand how the host allocates CPU on the host servers.

  One of the guests is a newly installed Exchange 2010 Server 2008 R2. In this guest operating system, the windows Task Manager showed that the CPU was at least a little. However, when I look at the contents of the host tab, it shows the use of the processor as the half. I thought that the host was supposed to allocate as much as necessary, but it seems to me that the host has more that's not give at the prompt.   The way it works is that you have a server with 1 quad not core cpu no hyper threading. This would have 4 cores to vmware to use. 4 cores is 4 virtual cpu to use at a relaxed pace. If you were to add it is 4 virtual cpu for all your virtual machines, you should be oversubscription and basically your VMs will begin waiting for the long time available CPU.   I do NOT recommend to get a model 13 ".  In addition to reading a lot of posts on various forums to audio/CPU questions when Mainstage is run on a machine of 13 ", I was also witness to these issues at first hand on several machines of 13".  In all cases, there was massive CPU questions and audio problems, especially when the MainStage is in Mode run.  The use of the processor in Mode run was literally 50-70% MORE than mode "Edit"... I couldn't believe it, and it took place on different computers that are running both the same and different concerts with various audio interfaces and MS.  Some have tried MS running in low resolution Mode (which is very ugly) and others have tried to use the MS in "Edit" mode.   I have a couple of friends who have bought machinery 13 "specifically to run MainStage concerts (because 13" models are cheaper) and after weeks of frustration, they sold these machines to be or they eventually used for non-musical purposes.  Personally, I believe that these issues are due to 13 "models do not have a discrete graphics card and because MS is so strong intense graphics, the CPU simply cannot manage it.

  I highly recommend, highly get a 15 "model, preferably with 16 GB of RAM and an SSD.

  It is difficult to say what is causing this problem, but such objects on the screen are normally associated with defective graphics card or wrong display drivers.

  me and my boyfriend has replaced the HARD drive with 80 GB model (the original was on his last breath), upgrade of RAM as it could by adding a key to 256 MB to the current 64 MB.

  It helps a lot and allows us to run Win XP Home and now added a wireless card.

  I can get a Celron M 700 MHz processor - I can it whack in the 4090xcdt?

  Is there a good source cheapish of spare batteries - as the mounted one, last about 5 minutes when it is turned off!
