• Creating new entities-relationships (reservations)

  I see some strange behaviors when you attempt to add a computer virtual (e.g. a HostNic) for a reservation network (for example, a cluster).

  On the one hand, I get errors of the VCAC when I create the HostNicToReservation entity (by specifying only the HostNicID and the HostReservationID as normal properties).

  However, the relationship appears in the GUI vCAC and seems to have been created correctly.

  I made the same excersize of powershell, using the function call "AddToHostNicToReservations", which works very well.

  Well, it's embarrassing - I was just using the wrong for creating entity type because I linked to the wrong to the EntitySetName parameter attribute. If it works

• [BUG] Invalid substitution of [4.0EA3] key is created after the relationship model engineering

  The repro steps:

  1. Go to tools-> area Administration. Add a new field called MonIdentificateur with logic type UNIQUEIDENTIFIER. Apply and save the changes.
  2. Go to tools-> Preferences, then-> model-> relational data Modeler. Go to the group box of basic column data Type and set Domain = MonIdentificateur. Apply the changes.
  3. Create the new entity and enable the option 'create a surrogate key. Apply the changes.
  4. Engineer to the relational model with the default settings.

  Expected result:

  Data type of the column Entity_1_ID is of type UNIQUEIDENTIFIER

  Actual result:

  Data type of the column Entity_1_ID is of type CHAR

  The problem was with the relational model. I created before choosing default Site RDBMS and it was created for Oracle DB. Change the Site RDBMS option within the relational model solved the problem.

• Should Hyperic 5.8.4 create automatically relationship the computer object virtual vROPS?

  I installed Hyperic 5.8.4 and deployed an officer to a MS SQL VM.  Hyperic discovered, I added it to the inventory, and vROPs sees the various OS and VM, including SQL applications.   However, the Windows operating system and apps are not associated to the object vROPs vSphere VM.   Should Hyperic create automatically a relationship between the VM discovered Hyperic and vROPs/vSphere?  If so, what might be missing?

  I just thought the screenshot you sent me, and I think it's just HOW you are looking at it. If you are using the troubleshooting > the metrics tab, you will see Hyperic relationships. You probably don't have your relationships build properly.

  Create a dashboard with widgets of topology or relationships, and you will see these relationships actually exist when you look at the vCenter:VMs or Hyperic objects: Windows. Alternatively, use the tab relationships under Administration... you will see your virtual machines have child objects of the Hyperic agent type. If the data is there, it's just a matter of how you look at what it is what "seems" as if relations are not there (but they are).

  This error basically means that you create duplicate reports.

  When you create a contact org using the API to create contact, a record is created in HZ_ORG_CONTACTS and at the same time, that a record of the relationship is created in HZ_RELATIONSHIPS. This last painting has a start date and end date. Please check if already a contact relationship already exists between the Group and the HZ_RELATIONSHIPS table object.

  Note that when you create a relationship in HZ_RELATIONSHIPS, it is not necessary that a record is created in HZ_ORG_CONTACTS. This is optional based on a user in function parameter. I'll have to check if on this last point. I remember it was how it worked.

  Hi people,

  I'm in LabVIEW 2012 and I have a (x, y) dataset I want to draw on a set of dimensions. I also want to superimpose a second horizontal axis with the same data, but using a set of units on the scale (xStar). You can watch the enclosed screws to see how x transforms xStar, but it's basically the quadratic formula with an exponential lift. The x values are plotted on a linear scale, but because of this exponential transformation xStar-values are reported on a logarithmic scale (see image).

  I want these two studs--(x,y) and (xStar, y)-to overlap exactly what they are actually a single parcel. That, in view of all (x, y) point, I can quickly raise the value of xStar glancing at the scale of the secondary axis. x and xStar are two useful physical parameters, then it is useful to be able to read one or the other on the chart depending on the situation.

  Any suggestions on how to get these two plots overlap? Currently, I use the min/max-x values to generate appropriate min/max values xStar, which makes the plots suitable for endpoints (but not between the two). I also need to specify somehow scale increments? If so, what is a good method to achieve this?

  The non-linear relationship (no log) is between x and xStar, you chose a logarithmic scale grid, so I guess that 'linear' scale must be adjusted.

  Since the x-> xStar relatiion is given and fixed to a scale, you can create an image on the chart with the tools of photography.

  read the newspaper scale min and max, read the pixel length x in the plot area and when the scale is changed (event) recalculate and pull scale "lin".

  -draw minor ticks, draw the main graduations and numbers.

  I would just use a scale, add a cursor block him to the plot and use changing the same cursor (read pointindex, get x, y data) to view xStar, x and y

• How to display moving from an analog linear potentiometer

  I want to display an analog linear potentiometer moving in labview 9.0.

  The POTENTIOMETER gives a signal of 0 to 5 volts and has a 38.5 mm race. I use a cDAQ-9174 and 9201 card to receive the signal.

  I'm pretty new to labview and I have no idea where to start. I only managed to display voltage in a waveform chart. How to convert mm (or inches) displacement voltage?

  I will be very gratefull for one that can help me.

  -Isn't that a simple linear relationship? If 0 mm 0 V and 5 V = 38.5 mm, displacement must follow this formula:

  displacement = (5 V / 38.5 mm) * measured voltage.

  Just use the mathematical functions in LabVIEW to this implementation.

  Hi guys,.

  I'm new here and new too with Oracle and the Data Modeler, so my question will probably very basic look for you...

  I just used here and I'm supposed to use and manage a big enough database (670 tables) but nobody ever does a model for IT... so that's the first thing I'm doing.

  The DB is a 2 Topobase (older GIS software) on Oracle spatial no (Yes, a no spatial GIS, is not great?)

  I could connect to the DB and create a relational model, following the steps of a tutorial, but it only shows the tables without relationships 'arrows '.

  I guess that's better than the excel file the last person dealing with this DB has left me, but it would be great if I could really see and understand it all with all the relationships!

  I also have a second question:

  I know that probably 80% of these tables are empty, but do not know who is actually empty or not.

  Is there a quick way to identify all the empty tables?

  Is there a way to delete the model - or better not import them?

  Any help will be greatly appreciated!

  Hi Xavier,.

  Welcome to the forum.

  The fact that there are no foreign key on the relational model diagram relationship probably means that no foreign keys have not been defined in the database.

  There is a feature to discover foreign keys in the Data Modeler.  You can call it in the dropdown menu, that you get when you right-click on the node for the relational model in the browser tree.

  It offers possible foreign key relationships based on column names, etc.  This can help you to find and create the FK relationships in Data Modeler.

  Regarding your second question, Data Modeler provides all the features to identify the empty tables.  You will need to use a SQL query to do this.

• Try to follow the relationship VM and model

  I am trying to determine if a new machine virtual or model has been

  created using an existing VM using the SDK. I have not found all of the pre-existing properties

  which clearly reference a source VM. I tried to use customFields for 'tag' a

  VM so that I could create follow the relationship myself, but these do not appear

  persist in all the operations of clone/model.

  Does anyone have a suggestion as to how this could be done?

  I'm not aware of all, there are properties that you can set to not allow someone to change. You will need to browse around to see if the box "notes" can be locked or allow only admins edit this field.

  No and probably not. Some may choose several libraries as a way to manage multiple devices. Personally, I have my main library, another that I use only with iTunes game, and several that I could use to test behavior iTunes when I answer questions and I want to correct the details. Most activities in iTunes causes the .itl file update and the .xml so it is created. It is likely to be some kind of non-linear relationship between the size of the library and the time required to process updates. Each smart playlist should be updated when the data changes. Most of the smart playlists and playlist folders you more than the activity takes. Avoid creating the .xml if you don't need it, the control is in iTunes > Preferences > advanced.

• Slow table indexing when you use a subroutine

  I wrote a labview code that extracts a range of data to an analog waveform. (3 options - last value only, all values or a specific range)

  I'm buying what I consider of large amounts of data (analog samples at 1 MHz for 20 seconds).

  I'm proceessing in a loop of consumer data and found that the functions of indexation has slowed to a crawl (~ by seek 100mSec).

  The slowdown is a linear relationship to the size of the array.

  My debug analysis concluded that, if I change one of my subroutines of code inline, the speed problem disappeared.

  Why is - this?

  My best guess is that Labview takes a copy of the table to send by the Subvi.

  I'm not editing data in the subroutine, is it possible to say LABVIEW not to do?

  Attached are 2 versions of my VI, prompt a Subvi online (sorry for the mess) others (slow) use the code as a Subvi.

  You are quite correct.   What you might look into is recessing workmanship of your VI.  It depends on what you want to do with the final result.  Reentrant will solve this problem, but don't update the data on the front panel.

  We have a report of rdf that prints the bar code in the start page based on a custom procedure of MarkView. It works well with Oracle Reports.

  But given that this report was a matrix report, we change it a linear relationship by Oracle XML Publisher report.

  We have every possible thing in the new Oracle XML report... But we are not able to print data from barcode which is BLOB in the XML report...

  Can someone help me on this? We have dates UAT at the corner...
