  Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

• new tabs do not go to the home page

  I tried everything: config, browser/newtab/url, put my desired url in and registered. I leave firefox, firefox restarted, and it opened to my home page. When I clicked on the new tab, it won't go to my desired url. I have tried re subject: config, brower/newtab... and the correct url is in there, but it still does not go to my desired url when I click New tab. Looks like something is the substitution of my preferences.

  Can you please try to start firefox in safe mode and see if that makes the issue to go away? To do this, hold down the option key while starting firefox. If the problem disappears, it is probably an add-on causing the problem. Try disabling each addon one at a time and see what the origin of the problem.

• Why the add-on Manager creates a new tab whenever I go to the home page?

  When I run Firefox my homepage tab appears with a tab of the Add-ons Manager and a plus sign for the new tab. Whenever I go on a website and then back to my homepage comes ANOTHER tab Add-ons Manager. This apparently will last forever. I got 20 tabs Manager modules showing. The only way to eliminate them is to stop Firefox and restart. Then it starts again. What is the cause?

  When I was creating topics for my index finger, I saved the document after doing a subject - (because I had created topics yesterday and is not saved and lost all of my work) - when I tried to create a new item of the Index, the button wasn't dark - not active, so I was not able to add more topics to my Index. I rebooted my MacBook Pro (Mac OS X Version 10.6.8) and reopened my InDesign (Version 3.0.1) document and the palette Index box still lacks a button "Create a new item of the Index" assets to allow the action. I do not know how to do this - does anyone have any suggestions?

  I worked on the range of the Index of reference - adding items to the Index with a subject that I had already entered and when I went back to fashion topic, I noticed that the 'Create a new item of the Index' button is enabled - so I think everything is good now. Thanks for the forum.
