  You use OE for a company and do not save your messages?
   
   
  Check first of all, what is obvious. While in the Inbox: view | Current view. Make sure show all Messages is the only option that is checked.
   
   
  If this is not the resolution, you have work cut out for you and hopefully will help.
   
   
  Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

  Recovery methods:
   
  If you are running XP/SP3, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.
   
  To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.
   
  Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
   
  In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.
   
  Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.
   
  Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.
   
  First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.
   
  If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.
   
  If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.
   
  If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

  A general warning to help avoid this in the future:
   
  Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.
   
  Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

  Just tonight the Yahoo email account inbox empty and I have received no message on the Iphone.

  I still get messages in the Inbox through Firefox on IMac and the phone in tne Yahoo Mail app.

  -Reboot iphone

  -Remove and re-add the account

  Inbox is always empty.  Other records complete with email.  If I move an email to a folder (in office) I can see then in the Inbox.

  But no emails arrive in the Iphone > messaging > Inbox account.

  I opened outlook express this morning to discover all of the emails in inbox missing.  What's past and how to bring them back?

  This happens often.  Records often self-destruction in OE and messages have disappeared.  Check your Inbox for an inbox.bak file which is a backup of the Inbox.dbx file (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2 and also point 4 on this page).  If there is no bak file so you will need a message recovery program, as my program of DBXpress (www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/), which may or may not be able to recover the lost messages (but if any program can, it will be).

  In the future, its very important to regularly backup your messages, as often happens to people and hard drives die every day.  It is very easy to backup and leaves with a sense of security.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#6

• Remove Desktop Icon shortcut arrow without creating a black square problem

  I found the following on the web to make the desktop icons disappear (they are transparent rather).  However, it has created a new problem; black square after turning on the laptop the next day.  Black squares did not show up on top of each simple desktop icon, but it's quite a few of them.  I was able to get rid of the black squares by reversing what has been created in the registry keys. but of course the arrows are back.  I don't want to.

• Email endpoint Configuration problem

  Hi all

  I'm trying to set up a configuration of email-endpoint for a process, which will peak the received e-mail and send to a distribution list.  But when I try to create the end point configuration, I get the following error message is displayed on the /AdminUI, what could be the problem.

  "Could not connect to Inbox. Error message: failed to connect; "the nested exception is: java.net.SocketException: connection reset".

  This happens usually when you do not have the right to username/password on the mail server.

  Are you sure you user of the Inbox, the SMTP user and mail server settings?

• mail on iphone or ipad mini moves automatically emails from Inbox to the trash

  I configured on three devices running ios 9.2.1 for the same mail e-mail account.  On the two devices (ipad mini 2 & iphone 6s) emails sit in the Inbox approximate 15 minutes before automatically go to the trash.  the third unit works very well.  I have looked at on all three devices configuration, but cannot see any differences to identify the root cause of this issue.  This just started about a month ago. eventually after a hotfix has been installed.    I deleted the box the letters on the ipad mini and recreated, but it has not fixed the problem.

  What have I done wrong?  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  Hi I have a problem with my windows mail (Vista). I get emails from my server but nothing appears in the mailbox. New mail shows as being in the file, but when it says "there is nothing to this point of view." Properties on the right key shows "17 3 unread messages" and I can export messages to another file where I can read fine. Any ideas on how I can get the Inbox to show me its content or even delete everything and see if that clears the problem. This problem just started and I restored a backup of problem before, but this has not resolved. There was a message first time it happened saying there was an error in the file but the message is not recurring and I don't have the message code. Any ideas thank you gratefully received.

  I get email in my Inbox windows mail without problem most of the time, but then every so often one of them will remain only for a split second, then disappear.

  Happens if fast, that I don't get a chance to see who it is from. so I don't know if I lost completely, or if it the next time I get emails.

• Printing (images and outlook emails) in Win problem...

  Hello

  I'll have a printing problem in one of my computers on network. The computer has a local printer and it prints all documents except the photos and emails from MS outlook. In addition, whenever I want to print a word doc, it shows an empty field in the selection of the printer have been I have to select the default printer. This problem appeared only to this user, when I try to log in to the same machine as a different user, I can print everything (including photos) and other documents without problem and the printer appears by default in the print selection box!

  It seems that I have to restet sort of print somewhere for this specific user options in regedit. One option that might work is to remove the user and re-create a new, but I do not prefer this option before you look for the best solution.

  PS I tried to uninstall and reinstall the latest printer driver, but again same problem made its appearance.

  Is it possible that when this happened, the phone was in a State of forgetfulness and corrected since then with the battery pull?

  Messages and lost data problems are surrounded by the low-memory problem, for further investigation and monitoring of memory must be done in order to understand why this happened. If FB is the only 3rd party application, that you have installed, then something else is depleting the memory. I don't have any solid answers and perhaps another user of the forum can sound to shed light on this.

  There is another option and that's to update the OS on your Blackberry. That would solve questions surrounding the corruption of the BB OS if you recharge the appliance.
