  After reading my post, I realized I'd probably be a bit clearer on that last paragraph...

  Available for PXI-4110 voltage ranges are different for each channel, as shown in the first page of the specifications:

  CH0: 0 to + 6V

  CH1: 0 to + 20 v

  CH2: 0 - 20V

  So to create a sweep from-2.5 to 2.5 V, you will need to use multiple channels. You would use Ch2 to sweep from-2.5 to 0V. Then you can use Ch0 and Ch1 (Ch0 would be better since you'll have better accuracy) to sweep from 0 to + 2, 5V. There is a good example, called "NOR-DCPower channel in software timing Sweep (curve) .vi tension" which does almost exactly what you are looking for.

• Change the frequency AO AO DC voltage scanning scan?

  Hi all

  I am very new to labview, but find the forums and examples extremely helpful. I probably spend 50 + hours to familiarize myself with tutorials and general information, but I am at a point where I need your help.

  I'm unable to change the example "AO frequency sweep" found here (see custom_sweep_1.VI) to allow me to sweep the voltage.  My instinct is that I don't need of the ' waveform buffer generation VI ' and that I should be able to remove the associated entries since I'm only interested in a sweep of DC voltage. It is also called create_log_frequencies.VI, and I'm fairly certain that I can use it as written and simply change "frequency", "tension". My work of the custom_sweep_1 changes are attached as custom_sweep_Voltage.

  The problems I am having with the edition of custom_sweep_1 are:

  (1) I don't think I understand very well how or if the parameters associated with waveform buffer generation VI relate to a sweep of DC voltage.

  (2) an extension of 1): the loop depends on the samples and Cycles by buffer and I don't know how / whether to replace these values

  (3) the .VI DAQmx Timing (sample clock) receives its sampling frequency of output waveform buffer generation VI, but I think I can use 1/scan time to replace this (?)

  (4) the DAQmx Write.VI gets waveform buffer generation data, but if I can get around this VI and AO tension of wire directly to write DAQmx then I think I can use minimum voltage as my entry of data (?)

  (5) after the implementation of these changes, the custom_sweep_Voltage runs, but I get error 200609:

  "The possible reasons:

  Generation cannot be started because the size of the selected buffer is too small.

  Increase the size of the buffer.

  Choose the size of the buffer: 1
  Minimum required buffer size: 2

  "Task name: _unnamedTask<3A>"

  I also note that I tried other ways to create the sweep of voltage DC VI:

  (1) I have tried change the tracer IV example (found here), but it's much more confused than change the frequency sweep.

  ( This tutorial and sample 2) block diagram looks like straighforward, and I also work on understanding what Assistants DAQ 1,2, 3.

  Any return would be great. I think it is clear that at the very least, my poor understanding of 'buffer' is if the cause of my confusion about the change of frequency scan, please do not hesitate to share any information you have.

  Additional information on my project/progress using labview follows below:

  My final goal is to determine whether or not the resistivity of a sample of organic driver changes over time. For this I want to compose a VI simultaneously sweeping the output voltage DC-5 to 5V periodically during 24 hours and measure the voltage drops to my load resistance (to determine the current in the circuit) and the sample. I use a USB 6259 DAQmx and that you have correctly configured my circuit. I work two screws that I created with the DAQ assistant and by changing some of the examples, I found online. Output voltage (of an AO) but I have to manually select the voltage value. The second reads voltages in three samples of interest and writes the data to a PDM file. If you've read this extreme sensation and still make a contribution, my next goal after finding how to sweep the voltage is to combine this with my VI measure VI. I think it will be relatively simple, but still, I rejoice in all your comments!

  I solved this problem. I have changed my approach to be similar to the last link in my post. AO frequency scan approach is much more complicated that I need. Thanks for the help.

• sweep the voltage keithley 2400

  I ve made a small program (reusing an I found in the web) to generate a curve using Keithley 2400. I want to sweep the voltage of 1V-1 using for example 10 points and get the current in a graph and a table.

  However, something is not because I have only (not yet correct) measure and no image in the chart and no data in the table.

  Could someone advise me here, please?

  I ve you have a problem receiving data from Keithley 2400.

  I m using a distributed (attached) Keithley LabVIEW example and suddenly it does not work. When I run the program it sends the information to the Keithley and a scan is performed. The problem is when the scan is done, no data back to the program so I can't save all data or see any result in a chart or table.

  I ve tried to debbug program using the option to highlight and it is for me that the data are intended to the curve, but I have nothing (just #0 in the output of the Sub - VI last before the graph).

  The strange thing is that this program works so far, no idea what can be the problem?

  Hello

  You will not be able to do sweeping device/model parameters because the Amplitude of a pulse source is not actually a device/model parameter.

  For this, use the parameter of Circuit of Mutlisim feature. See the circuit attached for reference.

  I defined a new Circuit parameter (view-> parameters of the Circuit) called "Level" with a default value of 1.

  I assigned this setting to the "Pulsed value" parameter of the element of impulse voltage source.

  In the dialog parameter Sweep, I chose the Circuit parameter as the type of the parameter I want to scan, and then I selected the parameter 'level '.

  I would like to how it works for you.

  I'm heading to Europe, of Canada tomorrow and don't can't figure out whether the torch is bitensión. I used to have the "BOLD" and it even came with a record for Europe, but also in North America.   I just looked at the power supply (with a magnifying glass like writing is lowercase). 100-240 v 50 / 60 Hz 200 my.

  So, Yes, you just need adapter, to adapt local catches where you are, but you don't have to worry about voltage or frequency. Feeding is universal effectivey.

• ICloud photo library - double images and memory iPhone 5 c problem

  After months of deliberation, I decided to convert my Aperture on Mac in photo library and link the family three iPads and my iPhone to iCloud photos. I made sure all software updates have been installed on all devices, including the Mac. After 22 days of continuous download, I have now all the pictures in the clouds!

  However I have 2 problems. My 30 k + original images expanded to 40 k + with thousands of duplicates and my iPhone 5 c memory (8 GB - what a mistake!) is now full and I cannot take photos more or update applications on it. I guess that duplicates are albums on iPads.

  Before I converted, I checked and the documentation stated that the Photos would be recognition of duplicates and not replicate in the cloud. I also checked the box to optimize the images on my iPad and iPhone not realizing that even with the optimization of the paltry memory on the 5 c would be totally inadequate - the iPad is very good.

  Now I have more documented and install PhotoSweeper on the Mac seems a possible solution to the problem in double - the alternative is to go through each image!

  Re the problem of the iPhone, the only solution I see is to stop the iCloud photo library on the phone and then remove the images on the phone. Who will free the memory, and I will then be able to take pictures I have to take pictures by other means. It's not ideal for a functioning flawlessly, but when my contract is up this summer the next phone will be a greater amount of memory and hope it will be seamless!

  Any advice please before going further?

  Photo Sweeper is a good package and works well and is course - so are duplicate Annihilator for Photos and PowerPhotos

  You could try turning off ICPL on the small phone, cleaning of duplicates and leaving all s = complete uploads and downloads and stabilize and they new the on with photos on the iPhone - optimized it can handle then - worth a try

• False values of voltage using NI 9225 and ELectrical Power Suite 2014

  I have a few problems regarding the use of a map of analog voltage NI 9225 with code exaple quality Applications of power (cRIO) (Delta-Sigma) of the Electrical Power after 2014. Running the example code I values of voltage wrong, they are exactly doubled! For exaple with a 230 V RMS input I get 460 V RMS. I think the problem is the module, because by default, the code example expects to use a module NI 9242. Before the upgrade to LabView 2014, everything worked perfectly with EPS 2013. Am I something missung? I configured the C module in the project manager in the same way that I used with EPS 2013. Can someone help me? Thank you

  Hi Gianluca,

  If you use other types of modules in the example, you must take care of the conversion of accuracy in the FPGA VI.

  As FPGA VI resampling takes the signal of type fixed point +-24.1, you convert the +-24,10 and-24,5 to 24.1 in the Data Acquisition loop before feeding to the FPGA VI resampling.

  And in the loop of data Communication, you restore the output of +-32,3 to 32,12 - signal + and +-32.7. Notice at the time the zoom in and zoom out are equal.

  If you change other types of modules of different precision, you must change the precision of the given thread.

  For example, 9244 accuracy is +-24.11, so when you convert it to +-24.1, you must restore it by variation of-32,3 to-32,13.

• VISA Read Double Precision Corruption number with the 2400 Keithly

  I am confused on this point.  I have two systems with built in GPIB Controllers PXI.  Among the randomally systems began to show the behavior where the double precision read data returned orders gibberish.  On the other system, I use the same code and everything works.  Chain controls standard job very well (voltage value, current value, query set of voltage etc.).  I tried the following:

  Reset computer

  Keithly instruments exchanged (the problem follows the PC)

  Exchanged GPIB cables

  Update driver 488.2

  Used separate HS-USB-controller GPIB.

  I will be reinstall NI-VISA as well.

  The only difference is that I installed a few other drivers LeCroy instrument to the failed system.  But the problem is a not deliver after I installed the drivers, it occurred during the performance of my code.

  Has anyone ever seen this before?  What could be other causes?

  The problem was with the Keithley, change the format of the data without my knowledge.

  I am trying to understand what is the best way to do this.

  I have an output signal. I want to start with a 5V signal, so I want to do it in a sine wave of amplitude of 0.05v starting at 1 Hz and gradually increase the Frequency, squirt up to 500 Hz.   There are a few options:

  1. your own sinewave sequence that will sweep the frequency while he plays. The integrated sine wave function is just a sequence that you can view and copy edit however you want. Double click in the palette to view the sequence.

  2 use multitasking and the sequence of the sinusoid built-in. The sequence of SineWave takes in a setting for the frequency, but it takes the value by reference. This means that if the value mapped to the frequency parameter changes so that the sine wave sequence runs, the frequency of the sine wave will update, too. This allows you to use a multi - load to run two parallel tasks: to call SineWave and one for the ramp of the frequency variable.

  Attached, is an example to help you make sense of it. Maybe it's not the exact logic you want, but should help you get some ideas going. I hope this helps!

• Agilent U2722A linear voltage ramp

  I am currently writing a LABVIEW VI to interface with an Agilent U2722A. I want to measure current constantly while maximum increase of voltage of 0V to a defined use specifying the step size and no time (a linear scan of tension).

  I downloaded the driver for this device which also includes an example used for output and then take action. My first problem is that when I run this unit VI is to expire. I think that this issue MAY have something to do with the entry "triggered the level". Happened to configure voltage channel VI. I have included the example and the voltage setting channel Sub VI.

  My lack of understanding for the other SubVIs (which are based on being passed SCPI commands by VISA as strings) also prevents me from making progress. Especially the scan configures and configure trigger screws

  Scanner Confgiure takes the values for the number of points and the timestep. I don't know how I'm supposed to make use of this VI. Should I put the values you want, and then use a loop to pass different values to the chain tension set up with each iteration. Also, how is the measured timestep? I need to set up a trigger to measure the time between the points or the scan function takes care of that? I've included the sweep set up VI as the Timestep VI as well.

  Looks like that you've got another error in connection with the IO instrument. Here are some references for this error,

  -420, "request not COMPLETED;

  This error occurs when you addess the instrument to talk and he has nothing to say.

  The most likely causes are:

  1. do not send a query. You must send a valid request to the instrument before talking to talk to him. This is true even of the instruments of measurement, such as the 2001 model. You can not get a reading from 2001 until you send him a request.

  The most accurate method is absolutely one provided by the material itself. Here is "Interval" in configure Sweep.vi.

• Write error in scan-1073807339 voltage Keithley 2400 to VISA, GPIB

  I'm working on a VI that sweeps the voltage across multiple PV devices, all in two States (light and dark). I use the SCPI and a GPIB commands to send scan to the Keithely and store it in a memory slot. So I ask this field using a sub - VI for each device in the two States.  The first State (light) still works fine.  VISA writing successfully sends the script to the Keithly and VISA read records of information successfully. But when the VI tries to run the same Subvi in the 2nd State (dark), I get the error of delay of 1073807339 waiting.

  Ways, I tried to solve this problem:

  -adjustment of the byte for VISA read rate (at one point given, I was getting the error on VISA read, not write)

  -adjust the setting of time-out of VISA by the suggestion of Web site of nor

  -loading of the script on the keithley each time for each scan

  In addition,

  I collect 100 points of data with each scan-05V to 2V.

  Whenever I get this error in order to get anything to connect once again, I have to close out of labview and could power off, power and reconnect the keithly

  Help, please. This could be a problem with my GPIB device? or my Keithley 2400?

  I tried all the solutions, but none of them helped. However, I have finally solved the problem on my own. The issue was that the VISA session was not properly closed / emptied after each scan.  To resolve this issue, I added VISA close at the end of each scan and clear VISA before each scan.

I have a PS-210 FieldPoint... basically an analog voltage output 0 - 10V, 200mA per channel (with additional external power supply)... my question is... can I plug two channels in series?  Love how I can put two AA batteries in the series... and then to double my blood pressure?  and then check my two separate channels and the sum of the tensions would be assujettirait I have my load in?

  No, you can't.  The channels all share the common side of their outputs.  If you've tried to hang them in the series, you have wind of short-circuit one output from the ground.

  The reason for which you can do with batteries is that the tensions are floating.  There is no common reference between the negative terminals of both batteries.

• Cannot sweep M1536dnf after reformatting computer

We have another scanner in addition to the office and these two computers can still scan using this one, but it doesn't have as many features. The HP ToolboxFX still works of these two computers.

  I'm full of ideas on how to solve this problem. It's particularly embarrassing because it worked before and continues to work on other desktops. Clues as to what I should try next?

  Any suggestions you mentioned did not. No change in behavior. However, I wasn't ready to admit defeat. After you check with the inspectors of package & various parts of the debug windows, I FINALLY found the solution! Therefore, I thought I'd share for someone else in the future who has a similar problem.

  These two computers have been executed under limited user accounts, and at the end of the day, it's a bug in the way the HP drivers in the WIA service user account permissions. It was totally an easy workaround solution, although - raise the WIA service for a user admin that can interact with other restricted users. Then, it has permissions to do what he wants!

  Directions for use:

  (1) on the computer target under the normal user account, press Start, in the search box type services.msc. Right click on the program that appears and select "Run as Administrator". Enter your user password or click on next to go to the UAC popup, if necessary.
  (2) locate the service called "Windows Image Acquisition (WIA)" and double-click it.
  3) click the connection tab, and then change this service to log on under a Local System account. Click here to allow the service to interact with desktop. And then click OK.
  (4) reboot (or if you really don't want to restart & know what you're doing, you can just stop & restart the WIA service twice)
  (5) enjoy!

  Everything works now.
