  I'm new to UCM / Site Studio. I have the site installed example which works fine, but when I use Site Studio to create a new site, the immediate error I get is:

  What happens here? I also tried to get around by creating a project to weblogic user different, but who gave Site Studio is just that buggy?

  Have you defined the default metadata for new sites? Under the administration Menu > Studio Site Administration > metadata by default of the project...

• Creating new site cause app to quit smoking

  For these last two days, after the upgrade to iTunes on internet software, DW closes as soon as I created a new site, connected to the new server and click OK to close the window of creating site. No other new installs. Restarting the computer several times, but the resignations continue.
  
  If I trash preferences, will I lose all my FTP site features existing? Preferences trashing help? Any other suggestions?

  I created a website in Muse on my personal MacBook and now I want to edit this Web site, add the content, manage the site of my new iMac at work - I just save in the cloud? Or how to access it on my work computer? I tried to access it on my iMac personal home and this was not to let me. Any help is appreciated and sorry in advance if this is an obvious answer that I don't see.

  If you build the website on your macbook at home:

  1. If you have not yet done so, create a folder on your computer "Mywebsite" (or another name).
  2. Copy to this folder the .muse file you saved Adobe Muse.
  3. Also in this folder, copy all images that you referenced when you developed your web site. (note: Dmuse ear development team: would be great to have a 'package' of Muse, similar to InDesign function that collects all the assets in a single folder ;-)) )

  Once you have all the required files in a spot, you can:

  • Copy the USB folder as a way to transfer on your work computer, OR
  • Copy the folder to your folder of creative cloud on your laptop at home, and then once the folder is synchronized (green check mark):
    1. Right click on the file in the folder of creative cloud and choose CC > collaborate. Enter the e-mail address associated with your job ID Adobe and send invitation
    2. The next time you connect to your work computer, open the desktop application Cloud creative (menu bar on Mac), or the taskbar on the victory. The upper part of the application displays a marker with "Requests", click on "applications" and you will be able to see all applications for collaboration and can then click on "accept". This will start a synchronization with the file that you placed in the folder of creative cloud at home and download all the files, so you can continue working on it.

• Creating new sites in network

  I just spend most of recovery today since my last attempt at this, so I thought I'd better ask some advice before I try again...

  Most of the time my macBookPro is connected via Wifi or my home network or a wifi network where I work. And the automatic location works great.

  However, I also use the MBP in a performance setting and use an iPad as a remote control (using the OSC in wifi). In the past, I just created a network of Mac and linked to that. The problem is that the IP address is different each time, so I have to keep changing the settings in the application that I use on the iPad (usually under pressure of time!).

  It would be more logical if, when I do that, I might switch to a different location in prefs network, one that uses a fixed (i.e. manually set) IP address.

  I can go to this issue the wrong way...

  First, I created a new location and switched to that. Then I selected the WiFI in the left pane and to manually configure IPv4 (/ Advanced/TCP/IP). Then came the IP, I wanted to use, I change and close the Advanced window. How the pane idle network waaaay, and when I tried to switch back to automatic, the laptop wouldn't connect to the home router. It seems to me have corrected (somehow) who now (or it set itself), but I would rather avoid that does not happen.

  Then - I went to this topic the right way, or have I misunderstood something about how it works?

  Hi David, looks like you're definitely on the right track.  I think where you had your most big problem is when you "approved the change" as we would say that you have applied the new settings while remaining on your home network?  Does not then could be a pretty normal behavior that the laptop would be settling in the new network address you gave.  If this address is not valid for your home network, it is for example a 192.168.1 address and you use 192.168.0 home addresses, the network will stop working.

  If you switch to automatic, I think he must then communicate with the router and ask for an address (this is called DHCP) and you should come back to work again.  I use not automatic as much as I've never looked closely inside and it's always a little mysterious.  Instead, I have my own network location to home and just use auto sometimes when you try to make a new network.  This can be a good idea for you too, so that you can confidently on your home network to your performance implemented.

  Yesterday, I saved all the files of my site obsolete and deleted from the server and downloaded my new site Web de Adobe Muse to my FTP host with the original domain name.

  You talk about the Adaptive development of Muse, who is an alternate option if want to keep separate mobile / tablet layout, and the feature you request is not available there.

  I went the same route. I started to want to learn web design and the Muse is an excellent tool. The code it generates, however, not to use it in Dreamweaver. This could be done, I think this isn't worth it, even for a real Geek. Once you get to Muse you will find there are things missing, stuff, you want to do, but are just tough in Muse or you can buy a widget. It is possible in DW and you get which through subscription, so it makes sense. Me what I know now, I'll go directly to DW to learn, except if you want results right now. If you don't want something to cause I stay with Muse and maybe learn to animate CC to add some pizazz to the site. If you only want a simple layout and a couple supporting stick with Muse pages if you want a larger site use DW.   As a beginner, I did a test of this tutorial.

  Everything seems to be great except one thing. I tried doing this project in a new layout using the same goods and strictly followed the same instructions and followed the same specifications to complete the project, but the error I get, is that mine shows only to the left and to the right of the page, not on the browser is really disappointing, I followed the page layer exactly the same way that has been loaded into this tutorial and always made sure that the the PIN process was done according to the tutorial. and also I opened the file sample as well as my working file to make sure that everything has been done as a result. They're all pretty a your subtle grey but that I do not see is on the page "about me". You just need to bring the gray tone to the top of a few stops.

• New site created at the level of the incorrect directory

  New to Dreamweaver and CS5.  I went to create a new site, but I created it at the root-level many other files on my hard drive are appearing "inside" of the site.  I do not have any content created yet, has been named the site.  If I go to "Manage Sites" and delete the wrong site, it will remove all other content on the hard drive inside this site?  Just afraid to hit the wrong button and removing hundreds of image PS files.

  No, you're safe.

  Manage Sites simply manages the site definition (which means tell Dreamweaver, in his own unique language, where the site is located on your hard drive)

  Removing a site definition to manage the Sites simply remove knowledge of Dreamweaver site location.

  But if you have set wrong just level files, just change the existing site definition and locally, set the appropriate folder. It's nothing more than that.

  To delete the contents of the real site, you must:

  (1) intentionally remove a file (or files) via the Panel files DW

  or

  (2) remove the files with your operating system (excluding DW).

  Option 2) is not recommended. Use option 1) and DW will load your management of links in your web pages for you.
