  I have a new laptop series L and its great. The only foible I can think is a message that I get when I try to stop. There is a message box that says: "one or more PDF documents are opened in a web browser. If you are now leaving the adobe reader software, these documents will be closed. Are you sure you want to exit? ».

  The thing is I don't have any PDF or web browsers open at the time! Can you help me please?

  Believe me it s no big deal the same thing happens from time to time on my laptop
  Usually, PDF files can be read with the Adobe Acrobat reader software. This service application runs in the context of the BONE and this message can be displays if the Adobe Acrobat reader software can not close the background automatically process

  I solved that little problem by deleting the software acrobat reader from the system. After restarting again I reinstalled it again

  Now, the message does not appear and everything works like a dream ;)

  Hello, does anyone know how to disable the item 'show 'Start' workspace when no documents are open"in the General preferences (11.3 InDesign (version 2015.3) via script or command?):

  

  I'm about to deploy several other parameters with CC2015 via script .jsx in the startup scripts folder; a parameter I did was turn off the frame of the Application (app.generalPreferences.useApplicationFrame = false ;)

  I thought that this setting would hide the workspace of starting, but when the startup script runs this command, instead, I see more buggy behavior, a random window appears with the news of the workspace of departure, and then InDesign freezes completely.

  I have deploy a default file, this setting but really tried to get away from that and would like to find a way to disable this check box with a command or a script...  I searched around the object model and cannot find it.

  Your problem could be solved if you turn off YOUR Application framework in the window Menu.

  Go to window-> part of the Application.

• The documents are open in Word - cannot delete

  I have a number of documents I want to delete, but when I try to do this by using Windows Explorer I get an error indicating that the document is open in Word, and it cannot be deleted.  I closed and reopened in Word, open and re-closed documents in Word, rebooted the PC - but I can't find a way to remove the documents.  Any help appreciated.

  These features are not available on the Adobe Acrobat Reader Mobile application.

  You can do this by using Adobe Acrobat DC desktop application.

  I'm using Pages 5.6.2

  In our society, we begin using pages for the edition of our records. We use a shared network of synology to quickly access our files. It's a DS-209 + II.

  Now, we had several issues where a user still had a file open and open another file.

  My question: is it possible to have pages or finder or what ever tells me that the file is open by another user?

  I think something like Microsoft Word has set up: "the document is locked for editing by another user.

  Please let me know if there is a way to have this feature in place or to have a sort of work around.

  N ° not a feature of the Pages, or configurable one or the other. The work is to use Word only (a safer bet), or an edit shared management of the users of the document will be closing their documents Pages and exit Pages to release the locks on files - when they are done with the document.

  If I try to open any document in Windows Starter 2010 small screen asking that I select the coding that makes the readable document

  The selections are Windows (Default), MS-DOS and other coding.

  Any choice made the document is still incomprehensible.

  I assume you mean that you have Office Starter 2010, which is the successor of Microsoft Works.  There are several file formats Microsoft Office which won't open in Office Starter 2010, they are quite obscure file formats.

  Where the documents that you are having problems with it comes?  What is the file extension (the characters after the dot in the name of the file)?

• Word 2010 documents are open in word pad instead of pdf when I save as pdf.

  I use 2010 starter on a samsung laptop 64 bit. I tried other pdf creators, but the same thing happens. This does not happen on my desktop running 2010.is to Word it a limitation of the starter edition. I tried the default programs but the word is not included in the list any help would be welcome

  Review the file Associations, select .pdf and then modify the program by default Adobe Reader or another pdf/creater drive you have installed

• I try to maintain a "split screen" of two separate windows. Both windows are open on the left and I need an opening on the left and the other to open on the right

  I have a problem - How to implement/action script duplication of the two layers related from one document to another document already open? The linked layers is a specially formatted text, so I can not just copy - paste the in the open document. Document already open is a CR2 file.

  When I record the action, PS also save the receiver document name. But the name change when I open another folder so all acation jumps.

  PS can record 'Select next 'document' and "Select previous document", but can't ' save 'duplicate layers in previous document ".

  You try to run it on multiple files (ie: use this solution in a batch process)?  I do something very similar to the work; but I'm not sure of linked layers.  You will need to put them in a group for them to stay connected as I do.  In any case, the code I use is below:

  #target photoshop

  activeDoc var = app.activeDocument; This option stores the currently active document in the activeDoc variable

  var originalDoc = app.documents.getByName ("source.psd"); This option stores your .psd source file name Photoshop may find the layers that you want to copy in the appropriate document.

  var theLayer = originalDoc.layerSets.getByName ("text"); This option stores the group that you want to copy in the other document to a variable named theLayer

  app.activeDocument = originalDoc //Switches to the active document to the document source for the duplication is possible only in the document further.

  var theCopiedLayer = theLayer.duplicate (activeDoc, ElementPlacement.PLACEATBEGINNING);  This puts the Group at the top of the layer stack in the target document.

  If you try to batch run this; just save the script in action and add a save option, then perform this action with the lot.  Also, if you are running it in the form of lots; don't forget that the source .psd is open before starting the batch job.  Anyway, give it a try and let me know if it works!

  I created a form that uses a button to switch to another pdf document. This second document is included in the first document as an attachment so that the whole package can be sent to people in a single document.

  It works well but the problem is that when the button is selected the document that is already open is closed (albeit with a backup invites document).

  There seems to be no way to keep the existing document open, while the second document (the linked document) is open.

  Is there a solution to this?

  Merge us several Word 2003 documents into 1 larger document that we have and then convert to PDF format.  In the Word document page numbers display correctly - 1 of 21, 21 2, 21 3, etc.  We then convert this merged to PDF document by double-clicking the file name and choose "Convert to Adobe PDF".  For those of us with Adobe Acrobat Standard 8.1.3, page numbers in the converted PDF file display as 1 of 1, 2, 1... 21 of 1.  Those with Acrobat Professional 8.1.3, they appear as 1 of 21, 2121 2, 3 of 212121, etc., each page by adding another number of total pages in total.  There is no change in the result if using v8.0.0 or 8.1.4 anyone have ideas?

  Open the Word document merged and printing to the Adobe PDF printer worked!

  We had tried to launch Acrobat and create the PDF that elsewhere, but there was no difference. Never thought to try to print to the PDF printer...

  I'll also try the upgrade of my office for 2007 and see if that solves the problem, allowing us to "convert to PDF".

  The links are located on the emails I receive from authorized sources. When I click on the links to read the additional documents (another document) or display a picture, I get a blank page with a single point in the middle of the page. The tab header says it's an image (1 x 1 pixel) PNG. Any suggestions to fix this?

  Often, links to email in bulk are routed via a follow-up rather than service directly to its final destination. If you look at the address bar on the image page, it seems like one of these intermediaries rather than the page you expect to load? If you click on the address bar and press ENTER to retry the address, which does nothing?

  It is possible that the security software or security add-on kills a redirect from this intermediate page to the final destination. For example, I think the anti-banner Kaspersky functionality could do that.
