  Hello, does anyone know how to disable the item 'show 'Start' workspace when no documents are open"in the General preferences (11.3 InDesign (version 2015.3) via script or command?):

  

  I'm about to deploy several other parameters with CC2015 via script .jsx in the startup scripts folder; a parameter I did was turn off the frame of the Application (app.generalPreferences.useApplicationFrame = false ;)

  I thought that this setting would hide the workspace of starting, but when the startup script runs this command, instead, I see more buggy behavior, a random window appears with the news of the workspace of departure, and then InDesign freezes completely.

  I have deploy a default file, this setting but really tried to get away from that and would like to find a way to disable this check box with a command or a script...  I searched around the object model and cannot find it.

  Your problem could be solved if you turn off YOUR Application framework in the window Menu.

  I've just moved a CD into my disc drive and noticed that nothing was happening. I went so manually click on the disc itself, and seen that it was completely gone. When you go through the process of troubleshooting in Windows 7, this note came:

  Obviously, I need to re - activate this service, but I am helpless about who or how. Any help would be appreciated!

On other computers phone allows us to make the windows activation. But on a PC, the option "Show me other ways to activate" in 'Screen of Activation Windows' has been disabled and grayed out out.   Try this method

  1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4
  (2) press the ENTER"" key.
  (3) select your "country" in the list.
  (4) choose the option "activate phone".
  (5) stay on the phone * do not select/press any option * and wait for a person to help you.
  (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.
  (7) the person must give you a confirmation ID, copy it down on paper,
  (8) check that the ID is correct in reading the support person.
  (9) to enter the ID number, then click 'Next' to complete the activation process.

  Just to ensure follow-up on the post of joel S can you check the following registry key, which relates to the USB:

  Is there a 'name' UpperFilters and LowerFiltersin the registry for this key, in the right window?

  My computer has stopped recognizing all external hard drives.

  He returns constantly with a 32 error code, saying that the disc has been disabled due to problems. I uninstalled and reinstalled two usb ports, I tried ASUS live update but it was a no go as well. I also tried to remove the uppoerfilters and the lowerfilters, but unfortunately, lowerfilters does not exist on my computer.  I'm completely lost, and I don't know if anything else will not work.

  I suggest you to disable and re-enable the USB controllers:

  a. click Startand then click run.

  b. type devmgmt.msc, and then click OK. Device Manager opens.

  c. expand Bus USB controllers.
  Note: You need to scroll the list to find this point.

  d. right-click the first USB controller under USB Bus controllersand then click Uninstall to remove it.

  e. Repeat step 4 for each USB controller is listed under Bus USB controllers.

  Note: restart the computer. After the computer starts, Windows will automatically check for changes on the hardware and reinstall all USB controllers that you uninstalled.

  ETA, I have tons of HD space on the Mac, so my pictures * may * not actually optimized for the moment. This parameter is a variable, depending on need.

  Have you tried to push the image of Photos? i.e.' select the photo, double click it and share it through the Mail option.

  I go round in circles with it and to say that Adobe are not useful is an understatement!   I use InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat 7 especially.  The software I initially was a DVD Battle 8 - or 9-years ago and when I got the message that this software has been disabled, I followed the instructions to get the new software on the line (original DVD now being deceased!) as well as a new activation code.  No problem, I have the shape of work programs In Design and Photoshop - but not Acrobat Professional!   I downloaded free Acrobat 11, that not my Acrobat 7 'ripped off' original features has.   When I tried to knit together acrobat documents in Acrobat 11 I was invited I could go through payment (!) to get this feature!   Why should I?  I paid for that software 8 or 9 years old and he was stolen from me and Adobe don't want seems to help.  Any suggestions?

  I must say that I am not convinced that by using the specified HTML it could succeed to set the file musical itself. He would probably play if the sender displayed to himself and he opened on his own computer, because the file is local (always assuming that its authorized e-mail client reading.)

  Note that Thunderbird will not particularly play music embedded in messages, so if someone you send to use Thunderbird, they don't hear it.

  It is one of the reasons why I use Thunderbird. Besides having always cut sound. It can be very annoying having noise suddenly pop out of your computer in the workplace.
