  Well, guys, the solution was much simpler way.

  I do not format disks (always fear of losing important data in the process) so I asked questions about another solution before trying this one, but, as shown in the rest of the story, that's what I had to do.

  I just format Sansa, the new version of the firmware in it. Files with whom I used to have problems reading perfectly now. So I guess the problem might come from files may be corrupted, I had on the player beforehand.

  After the passage of the CSM and disabling secure boot UEFI mode, you will not be able to boot from the HARD disk as the installation of Windows 8 requires secure boot and the mode of the UEFI.

  This has happened for the last month or two... my Itunes and Iphone 5s are both updated. I used to be able to create playlists of music on iTunes and short while later he would automatically show on Apple music on my phone. Same thing with the music I want to rip from CD.

• Deinstitutionalized drive, my computer can not find the music stored on the internal drive

  I was recently released from the balance of PAYMENTS (Bureau of Prisons), and I gladly paid $25 for the reader deinstitutionalized. I got it in the mail and I am very happy with the improvements, however, when I plug it into the computer, the computer cannot find the music that I invested a lot of money.  The drive works fine.  I can listen to all the songs that are on it, but I can't find them with all software, including the software downloaded from Sansa. When I click on the player, in any program/browser, I get the same thing: the folders that are empty.  It saves space, but sees ALL files.  Many of the albums available at the bottom of the PYRAMID were incomplete and I want to "fill the gaps", but can not find the whites to fill.  Any help would be wonderful.  I paid my $95 (for the player AND have unlocked it) MORE about $1400 in the songs, so it's a pretty big deal for me to get access...   My guess is, it is a question of USB MSC - MTP mode.

  Your drive may be connected to your computer in the title of one of the 2 separate USB MSC or MTP modes.  This is located under settings of the player.  (There is a 3rd option it, auto-detection, trying to connect under MTP mode but then fold in MSC mode, if necessary.)  Is the reason why it's important, files transferred to the Clip under a mode USB can only be seen by your computer when the computer is under this same mode.  And so, for example, if the songs are put on the player mode USB MSC, if you connect later under MTP mode, the computer will not see these files.  If you have set the player to one of the USB modes and always use this mode (MSC mode is the least problematic, in virtue of which the player is considered to be a USB key; however, MTP mode is necessary for files protected by DRM), you're fine.  If, however, you change mode, emits a "invisibility".  And if you're ready auto detection, the computer can change the modes on you without you knowing.

  And thus, better Board: turn on the player (recommended) MSC or MTP mode and stay there and stay away auto detection setting.

  And if you have been on a mode but want to switch to the other and to be able to see all of your files on your computer, set the player to the previous mode, transfer your music to your computer and delete them from the player, re - set the player to new USB mode and transfer the songs back.

• I'm a perfect beginner! All I want to do is put my music on a mp4 player cd!

  A few tips...

  First of all, space is always an issue with music and videos and so when copy you a cd you could look on the "rip" tab in media player (click at the bottom of the tab Options) and make sure that you have selected MP3. The flow rate is adjustable from 128kbs.

  High sampling rate means a higher quality (and more used space) so it's something you can experiment with. MP3 format is universally recognized music on any player.

  With music on the PC now connect your player to the PC.

  You can now choose. You can simply drag and drop music files in the player. Open your music folder and expand the left column for 'find' your reader. Now find and drag and drop the file you want on the player to the left.

  And that's all, and it can be easier than with a multimedia player to do it :)

  Don't forget your music files are just like any other and your player is like an external flash drive. You move files in exactly in the same way. You can open the Player files at any time from the left column and remove the old tunes and so forth.

  From what I read its in forums that should be possible.

  But I can't access the directory of music in MP3tag:

  In MSC mode, I don't see any file at all.

  In MTP mode (which I prefer), I get a message like "music is not a valid directory name.

  Any ideas? How do you create your playlists with MP3tag?

  Edit: also, it is not associated with MP§tag. I tried what was suggested in other threads with Winamp, too. Problem is that no file is visible in MSC mode, and drag / drop files in MTP mode works only when the target is a directory on my PC but not when it is a playlist in Winamp or MP3tag.

  Here's what you can try:

  Step 1:

  (a) start Windows Media Player.

  (b) press F3 on your keyboard to open the add to the library of the find computers dialog box.

  (c) click the Browse button to locate the file on your computer so that your library contains invalid entries. Specify the location of the folder in the box look in.

  If you are not sure what duplicate in your library entry is not valid, you can add a path column to display your library by following the instructions in the last question. Specify the folder on your computer that matches the path invalid file displayed in your library.

  (d) click on the search button.

  If only a small number of duplicate entries exist, you can delete those invalid manually by double-clicking the invalid entry and then clicking on delete.

  If you have a large number of entries in doubles in your library (or if your library is duplicated), it might be better to create a new library

  Step 2:

  Here's how you can create the media library:

  (a) close Windows Media Player.

  (b) locate the database on the computer that contains the entries of your library. In general, the library database file (CurrentDatabase_219.wmdb) is located in the following directory:

  directories SystemDrive\Documents and Settings\nom_utilisateur\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player

  (c) right click on the file and then click Rename.

  (d) rename the file by changing its file .bak extension.

  The player will search for digital media files and playlists in the folder you specify and add to your library. If you have your files and playlists stored in different folders on your computer, you may need to search for files several times, by specifying a different folder every time.

  Step 3:

  Avoid the music automatically added to avoid duplicate music files. To prevent music files to be automatically added to your library:

  (a) in the Player Windows Media, on the Tools menu, click Options.

  (b) on the Player tab, clear the files of music to add to the library when played check box.

  Now, when you play music on your computer or the Internet, the file will not be added automatically to your library.

• External hard drive creates folders and files and lose the music I synced to it.

  I've been struggling with my 8 GB Clip +, which is the same thing my old 4 GB Clip + has. It creates files SID and incorporate in the album folders. Renamed it with records of the characters of 8 or 9 (alpha and digital) at the beginning of the file name, and some of the music I download does not exist when I disconnect the player and it refreshes. It does this for MP3 AND WMA files, if I use Media Player or Windows Explorer.

  I loaded all my WMA files on the internal hard disk (that works absolutely perfect), responsible for MP3s ONLY on the external hard drive and got the same result. The external hard drive has been reformatted, there is no debris of what anyone to spoil things. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  So after spending most of my Sunday with my 8 GB Clip + and its 8GB external drive, I found that the problems mentioned previously disappear if opt you for USB mode MSC. I was then able to transfer MP3 and WMA using Windows Media Player or Windows Explorer. I even got to explore open and hung out and deposited the files in window Media Player sync. Very Cool! Also, when I tried to copy something that she already had, he said that the case was already transferred. Amazing! In the past, it should continue to record the same.

  Although I must say that a WMA file problem: some of the music files were not correctly identified and is not 'stick' to the albums they came from. But a search for individual songs revealed they were always there, even if the Sansa could not "identify the album they belong to.
