CREATE THE HYPERLINK TO AN EMAIL BY A BUTTON

I need your help please.

I created a button "Write to us" on my PDF.  When users click on this I would like it to be redirected to their email with my email address already in the region "to".

I use the latest version of Acrobat Pro DC (free trial) and there is no option to create an e-mail link.  I do not want to write my e-mail address on the page as I would like simply click on the button "write to us".

Can help you with this please?

Thank you very much!

Add a button to your document and select this option to perform an action "Run a JavaScript" and use the Doc.mailDoc () method. You can learn more about this method in the API documentation: DC-Acrobat SDK Documentation - Doc.mailDoc)

Chances are that something like this (modified version of the code in the documentation) will work:

this.mailDoc({
    cTo: "[email protected]",
    cCc: "[email protected]",
    cSubject: "The Latest News",
    cMsg: "A.P., attached is my latest news story in PDF."
  });

    Any ideas?  I have the report generation tool, but do not have the Internet Toolkit.

    By inserting file:/// before the file name, a local link linkable was created.  When read by mail Outlook/program that appears as a link.

    i.e."file:///C:\Documents and Settings\user\excelsheet.xls" would connect to the Excel worksheet.  This method works for local files.

  • Create the hyperlink in a text field

    I have a form that collects data from a customer. The number of customers is their phone number. This issue is already known and stored in a "cPhone" text field in the form. After all data are collected on the form, I then need to browse the site of customers the last part of the url of the site corresponding to their phone number that is already stored in the field "cPhone. What I want to do is to create a hyperlink to the Web site, that ends in the number of customer phone and when you click it it will take you to this Web site. For example, the url of the Web site might be www.mywebsite.com/main/active/ and my clients, 'cPhone' telephone number is 800-555-5555, when some kind of action is taken, the two are combined, and then it takes me to this Web page.

    Is they are combined and an action is created to open a web link, or a hyperlink can be created on the page that can be clicked, or anything else in the meantime. Is this possible?

    Probably the simplest is to use a button. The action could be a JavaScript like:

    Script mouse upward to a button

    app.launchURL ("http://www.example.com/main/active/"+ getField("cPhone").valueAsString, true);

    In practice, you'll want to check the value of the number field phone to see that it is not empty and is over, but this should help you get started.

    You can use the buttonSetCaption method to set the label of the button to the URL, perhaps in the phone number field Validate event.

    Valve control-click or two fingers on the selected e-mail address and on the context menu pop-up, select the link Edit. Displays the linker, and you can click on delete. You can also select the email address, press command + K and then click on remove.

    If you want that all the news of hyperlinks to appear as plain text, as you type, you can all first, select Edit menu: Substitutions: (uncheck) Smart Links.

    Bharat,

    But to open the path of local network I should use \\192.168.1.203\ like that then EUL.

    There is no way to do it. ? >
    As you say here, it's a network , not a URL path. The WEB. ShowDocument integrated expects a URL so everything that you pass to this built-in function will be treated as a URL. Rather than use the UNC format, try using the URL to open a file from a browser instead (for example: file://192.168.1.200/test/hi).

    You can test it in your browser quite easily to confirm that it works. Then pass the url of the Web file. ShowDocument instead of the network address.

  • Create a hyperlink that will focus more when I save the photoshop to PDF doc?

    Hello

    I am trying to create a hyperlink that will always work when I save all of the Photoshop document in PDF format. I am able to create the hyperlink by using the slice tool, but then when I save it as a PDF, the hyperlink goes.

    I use CS5 on a Mac.

    Thank you!

    I suspect that Photoshop is not appropriate here, you can consider using Indesign for that.

  • Apply the hyperlink to a part of the image (was: hyperlink on the PNG file)

    Hello

    I import a PNG image in Adobe Muse. It is a circular image I want to use it as a button. When I created the hyperlink, the entire image, including the image frame is a hyperlink. Is there a way to only apply the hyperlink to the circle of the PNG file?

    Thank you!

    Uunfortunately, that's how image links work. Everything is square or rectangular in HTML, so when you apply a link to an image, it is actually applied to the image frame.

    It is possible to make links non square using image maps, but it involves a bit of coding.

    I hope this helps.

  • Add the double name of the hyperlink (MonLienHypertexte, MonLienHypertexte (2), etc.).

    Hello

    I am writing a script which automatically creates hypertext links, based on source XML-tag references in a text and their counterparts identically marked in the reference list. It works fine, except that a reference is sometimes mentioned twice in a text, causing the hyperlink to have the same name and crashing the script. I would like to have the names of hyperlink automatically added with (2), (3) etc. If this happens. I tried before with if/else statements, but unfortunately without success.

    My current script, without the addition:

    // General declarations
    var myDocument = app.activeDocument;
    var myRootXML = myDocument.xmlElements[0];

    // Include glue code

    I do something like this:

            //Hyperlink names must be unique. If a hyperlink has already been created with this name, this iterates a number to append
            //to the name in the format "(1)".
            var iter = 0;
           //Check if a hyperlink with the name I want to use already exists and that it isn't this hyperlink.
            while (myDoc.hyperlinks.itemByName(myHyperName).isValid
                    && myDoc.hyperlinks.itemByName(myHyperName).source.sourceText !== myThingToHyper){
                //Bump up the number to append by one.
                iter++;
               //Change the hyperlink name so that the old number is replaced with the new one.
                myHyperName = myHyperName.replace(/ \(\d+\)$/, "") + " (" + iter + ")";
            }

    You could change that to add a letter instead. the best way I know this is to create a string variable that contains the alphabet and slice the letter you need, but it could be any other way.

    I think the problem with your script, it's that you're not accounting for cases where there is more than two hyperlinks with the same name. You want to use a while loop so you keep looping until you hit a number or a free letter.
