Where is my Windows Media Player icon?

I have tried to import my songs from my other computers for the background music for family videos edited. All of a sudden my icon for Windows Media Player is missing. I had an icon for it on my desktop. I went to "set your default programs" and that is, but I can't get an icon here to put it on the desk. When I type "Windows Media Player" in the search box, it says that there is no match. Windows Media Player does not appear under "All programs" or above this area. Where is it and how do I get it back? I have a separate drive of M:\ I want that all my music files to be stored on. But I find that there are a few music files on my drive C:\ It's a SSD and I don't want that he filled with music files, so how can I move these music files located on the C:\ drive on my drive M:\? All my music files on the m:\ can also be linked to the music library? How can I link these music files in the music library, but still they are stored on my M:\ drive. Can you give me simple instructions how to do this? How can I search my computer all music files and files sound effect and bring all stored on my drive M:\? Can you give me simple instructions how do? Thank you. I want to also all my songs in one place and I would like the ordered columns in left to right like: song title, the artist of the song, then, how much min. long is the song and how many MB. is there, then the type mp3, etc and finally the file path. I had some arranged like this, but not all my songs aren't in the same place. I would like them all under a single list and be able to see down how songs and how many hours of total music I have, do I have? Thank you.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Forum of the Microsoft community.

It seems that you tried to activate Windows Media Player in add it or remove the option features.

If this was done, Windows Media Player must be installed on the computer and what we may be missing here is the shortcut on the desktop.

Please click the Start button and type Windows Media Player, it should appear in a search result. Check if Windows Media Player is available.

If available, please click on icon and click on send to: Desktop.

If you do not see Windows Media Player here, please come back to add or remove components and make sure Windows Media Player is checked.

Hope this information was useful. Just reply with the results and if you need help or have any other questions about Windows, we're here to help.

  • Windows media player icon library

Hello community, I am a true beginner so please bare with me. When I play my own videos recorded on Window Media Player, there is a 3 library icon that is square at the top right of the image what opening on you allows in other files such as images etc.

When I send this video by email as an attachment and open it in my mail SENT to my computer to check if everything was OK, the library icon is still there on the video to access my computer as before.

    (1) can I assume that this icon is only show on my video sent that I use the same computer, he sent.

    (2) can I assume that the person who receives the video accessory on e-mail can not see the icon and therefore does not have access to my files on the computer.

The library icon shows that if you go to the bottom of the video to indicate the break game etc, the library icon above as shown right.

I do not share my computer with others.

    See you soon

    Hello

This icon toggle you between the current playback mode (i.e. When you actually watch the video) and the mode of the library (where you make playlists and put things, etc.). That's all it is - its got nothing to do with which had permission to post this video file on other computers.

When you send the video file to someone by e-mail all that they get is the video file. This file can get opened by Windows Media Player or any other appropriate video player application. If the recipient uses Windows Media Player this icon will behave as it does for you - they can switch between the two modes (but on their computer). Basically, after emailing the video file, it will be then also exists on the hard drive of their computer and they will play them hard drive.

The video file attachment of e-mail in your sent folder exists on your hard drive, not the recipients.

A 'regular' video file, sent by electronic mail does not allow the recipient to access files on your computer, at least that separately configure you access for them in some way.

PS Please be careful opening email attachments (even from people you know) because they can be a source of pollution.

And of course if I want to see all the songs, then it is the same thing as well, cannot change mode icon, I'd view icon but I don't know what I did that he changed "Extended Tile" and cannot restore more. • Satellite Pro C660 - 21 d - Windows Media Player has stopped working

The icon in the toolbar at the bottom lost the Windows Media Player icon and I can no longer watch the videos. I get a message "Server execution failed". It does not start in the start menu. all I get is a very brief flash of a new window which then disappears.

The window appears empty but it flashes on and off so fast it is impossible to be sure. I was not adding new programs; only the usual updates Microdsoft. I tried to go back to previous restore points and also activate media functionality and the new in the start menu without result.

Any ideas as to what past and how can I solve this problem?

No, the recovery disk install from Toshiba and the image is a package that contains all the system, drivers and additional software. Recovery disk *! = * Windows disk

    Hello

See if you can run the Windows System Restore as follows.

Shut down the PC.  Tap away at f8 that you start the PC to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press ENTER.  When it is loaded, click on the Menu start, open the all programs, open accessories, right-click on command prompt and select "run as Administrator".  Type in the following command and press ENTER.

    Rstrui.exe

I hope that this will launch the system restore.  Choose a restore point at least 24 hours before the file association problem and then restore.  When you are finished, Windows will restart normally.

    Kind regards

  • wmpkc32.exe and 0xC00D1199 error code when I start Windows Media Player

    Original title: wmpkc32.exe

I run Windows XP.and my PC shows 0xC00D1199 and wmpkc.exe at different times or places. Are these interdependent? This happens when I want to launch Windows Media Player.

    Hello

-Did you change your computer, after which the question began?
-What version of Windows Media Player do you use?
-Does the problem occur when you try to read a particular file or type when you launch Windows Media Player?

wmpkc32.exe process belongs to malware and may violate your privacy. Please, scan your computer and remove potential threats using the Microsoft Safety Scanner.

Note: You may lose the infected all data by eliminating malware.

    0xC00D1199: cannot play the file

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because:

    1) you try to play a file that is NOT supported by the player.

    2) you try to play a file that the player does not support, but the file was compressed by using a codec that is NOT supported by the player.

    3) the file type is supported, but you try to play in a way that is not supported by the player. For example, you may have attempted to drag a DVD file with a .vob to DVD to Windows Media Player icon.

I would recommend look you at this article and check if you play the file meets the criteria.

I write on behalf of a client who has a few problems with Windows Media Player in Windows XP.
