  • Computer Dell laptop connects wireless but not online

I have a Dell laptop that I bought about five months ago. We just bought a router wireless about two weeks ago and it was working fine until a few days ago, when the internet connection is slow all day until we have reset the internet modem itself. That day, my computer wouldn't connect to the internet after a few hours of surfing on slow internet. After that reset us it, he started to work very well. Then, the next day it was working fine until it just stopped to let us browse the internet. My desktop computer that uses a USB connection wireless and the Xbox 360 with WiFi, both work. Now, I pressed my button wireless countless times, and I am connected to my network with almost full bars. Some of the software on my computer can connect to the internet, as the update of windows, but I can't use any internet browser - I use Safari, but I tried as well IE. When I look at the plan of the connection, there is a line dashed to the router from my computer, but he always says that I have full internet access. Has connectivity IPv4 and IPv6 is not. I tried to uninstall my card, but it did not reinstall rebooted once and I undid the system restore I had tried a few days earlier to pick up my internet. We also tried to connect with an ethernet cable - says there is connection, but also will not let me do anything. Also, I ran diagnostics on my cards and Windows said reset, but I still have the problem and it "resets" whenever the diagnostics are executed. IP address of my router starts with 192. I've searched and searched for answers, but nothing works.

  • Install Windows 7 on Dell laptop, error "Setup could not create a new partition system or locate an existing partition.

I had Windows Vista ultimate on my Dell Studio laptop which consisted of 3 partitions (OS, recovery and OME).

In order to complete a clean install, I deleted all partitions and create a new 1 and formatted it, but I am informed that the installation was unable to create a new partition system or locate an existing partition.

I tried in IDE and ACHI, but neither enable Sir to go beyond that. I am booting from the CD with Windows 7.  If someone is able to help, they explain in layman's terms, as I am a relative novice.

    Thank you

As the drive was provided by Dell, you need to talk with them.

The disc could be waiting to see the things that you have deleted.

It can also be a type of completely different facility than the normal installation of Microsoft discs.

You would have more than likely been OK if you would leave the formatting alone and partitoning.

  • Computer Dell laptop inspiron n5110 is not disabled after stopping

I am facing problem on turn off. After the press is shut down, just close the lcd screen but still the power button is lit. I have to press and hold the power button / full stop. Please notify. I'm really worried because of this problem,

    ***SOLUTION***

This is a hardware problem, not a software problem. I am running the factory Win 7 home x64 and dual booting Ubuntu 12.04 x64, with this exact problem in both OS's.

What I did is I took out the keyboard and the palm rest (there should be a tear down guide put out by Dell) and you should see a coin cell battery. I took it out for about 10 seconds and then put it back in. I also checked all the other connections and removed and reseated the HDD.

I then went into BIOS and made sure there weren't any funky settings. It now shuts down, suspends, and wakes properly (only tested in Ubuntu 12.04)

I have no clue how or why, but that's what did it.

    Hi Kalyan,

From my research, this error message indicates that you have an old version of Samsung drivers installed on the computer.

Several clients are faced with this question after that they have updated the version of Android to 4.3, but the version of the driver is not updated.

I suggest you uninstall all traces of Samsung is installed in the list programs and then reinstall the device drivers Samsung from the link provided in the previous post.

  • Dell laptop 2nd day shipping... ITS BEEN 3 weeks!

So, tell me why pay for a 2nd day shipping when it's been 3 weeks I bought the Dell laptop and still have not received it. Assuming all similar position, they are just as frustrated as I am! It still says "in production" and that the estimated delivery date is tomorrow as in 15/10/15? Why are there no updates it's been shipped! I'll have to wait a year to receive because they are unable to update things quickly. It should not take from 24 to 72 hours after that that they "update" the status of my order to provide me with any changes. It should be immediately! Every single company that I EVER ordered was their immediate updates, so I know exactly where he is... I'm sorry, but I'm tired. Not only that but may I remind you that I paid for the 2nd shipment day. They need these constant problems customers have with all of this. It is completely unacceptable! Seriously, I'm not happy and I have paid for the 2nd shipment because my other one broke and I have no laptop for school. I'm NOT happy.

I ordered a Dell XPS 8900 on October 7 with an estimated delivery date of October 19.

I had 2 weeks between the estimated delivery date and my business trip scheduled for early next month

    that seemed reasonable.

He is stuck in the "production" and today, when I checked the estimated delivery date

jumps to 5 November. It is 17 days. I understand change in 2 or 3 days but 17...

I called customer service: after a 40 minute wait I got someone who made me hold it for awhile

and told me there was nothing she could do about it and hung up.

This means that when you order something from Dell, you must not anything for at least 2

month? The delay between the date of your order and your estimated delivery date can simply triple?

And then they cling on you.

    Hello

Control Panel - SOUNDS - Audio peripheral devices configuration-manager

Make sure you write down the description and model double click top - tab drivers - write version. Now
Click on update drivers who cannot do anything like MS is far behind the certification of drivers. Then RIGHT
CLICK above and UNINSTALL - REBOOT - this will rebuild the driver stack.

If your driver shows 06 you have the default windows and part of the question.

Go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest Audio/Sound drivers - download - SAVE - go to the place where you
Put them - right click on Reboot - RUN AS ADMIN -.

Check the Version tab of the driver in the Device Manager as the restoration of the sound card drivers often and then
Finally, install the current version. Restart and check after each test, not uncommon to have to run
the pilot of 1 to 4 times or more. Just make sure that the version you have installed appears in the tab of the driver.

Then navigate to the site of the manufacturer of the device and search for the drivers more recent and repeat the installation procedure.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Pre-installed Vista CD computer Dell laptop allows you to install Vista on another computer of dell desktop originally pre-installed with XP?

    Hello.

Have an old dell desktop with XP.
Have a new computer dell laptop with Vista.

    Both came pre-installed.
Both came with a CD to reinstall Windows.

Am I allowed to install Vista from that original CD on the desktop?
I did, then you have the problem (not genuine copy of Vista). I have since reinstalled Vista, but before I completely setting up the office, once again, I want to make sure that I am able to do this (do not want the new not genuine error).

    Specific questions:
    1. am I allowed to use portable CD to install Vista on another computer?
    2. If so, that must be done to ensure the "not genuine" error can't?

    Thanks for any help.

Reference Dell binds their records to their motherboards.

If your computer is pre-installed with Vista, it is classified as an OEM license and is not transferable.

The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptop

And a Vista license = a Vista Installation.

  • Logitech desktop microphone 600 does not work on the vista desktop

I just bought a logitech 600 desktop microphone. It is not a usb version, Ive plugged into the outlet of the microphone on the back of the tower. He acknowledges in the recording settings, but when I talk to it does not work? its not mute and volume is at 100%

    Someone knows how to operate?

    Hello

    ·         The microphone was working fine before and if if remember when you make changes to your computer before the onset of the problem?

Here are the troubleshooting steps you have to try to solve your problem.

    Step 1:

    (a) click on start - Control Panel

    (b) change Classic view - sound - recording tab

    (c) right-click in the empty space under Select recording device

    (d) show disabled devices: If the microphone is disabled enable it

Try you restart the computer and let Windows Vista again detects your sound card again.

    Step 2:

Make sure that you have installed the latest compatible audio drivers Windows Vista version, if not we strongly recommend to download the latest audio driver for your Web site to computer manufacturers for your sound card or onboard audio chipset.

Plug the microphone of your sound card / audio card mother (usually pink in color for micro) pine

    Step 3:

After that, go to control panel > sounds and Audio devices settings. Check to see if the microphone is detected by Vista. If this is not the case, check if you have selected microphone front or rear, as vista acknowledges their separately unlike windows XP. Correct the configuration of the microphone rear if necessary.

Check if the device is working properly by testing it on the other computer.

    Hope that helps,
