I had updated my Windows 7 PC Windows 8 by creating an ISO of the upgrade wizard file. Good luck with users who have this laptop. Also issues with the network adapter to which I am trying to fix at the moment.

    Hi, Carl L_942,.

Connect the Sansa Fuze and put into MSC mode. This enabled the majority of users with this problem. Check if it helps you too.

    For more information, see:

    Additional reference on:

Check and change the device to the master or the MTP USB mode

  • Windows 7 - key installation of product not valid

I see here a lot of people have the same problem I have. Today, on 22 October, I bought Windows 7 Home premium family pack for upgrading 3 PCs of Costco. Everything went smoothly until asked by installing the product key. I typed in the product key and it is "invalid". After that be réentré 3 or 4 times, I called MS supports. After finally getting a warm body who spoke English gave me a 2nd number to call. After calling the number 2 and get a warm body who spoke broken English I got a 3rd number to call. After calling the number 3 and get a warm body who spoke broken English, I was told that I had to wait a few days and try again because MS did not have all the keys entered their database product. How totally lame! If the problem persists after 2 days, I will return Windows 7 back to Costco for a refund. What a joke! It looks like Vista everything again.

  • Can I create the installation media for Windows 8 operating system Windows 8?

I encountered some problems with the installation of the Windows 8 client that I expect to be too long to attempt to repair. I suggested to the client that the operating system will simply be reinstalled. The customer has no recovery media. I have not found any recovery partition. I found the instructions at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only to create the installation media, but it takes that I create the media from the computer on which I wish to install Windows 8. This computer came with Windows preloaded 8 factory.

So I can use this computer to create the installation media, and then reformat the hard drive and reinstall windows 8?

There is no method to create the installation media (the original installation media does not exist).  The computer maker several times will include a program to help create your own recovery media, but which varies from one company to the other.  You could contact them to ask if you don't see the program, or they can also send you a copy (Dell sent me a free CD by fed - ex overnight when I asked for one for a Dell Latitude Laptop - laptop I has not yet bought them even!)

  • my vista crashed and I tried to reinstall, but get an error message "do not all installation media."

I tried to reinstall after a crash. I reormatted the car and tried to reinstall, but get an error message it doesn't recognize any media. I did a format on the page that appears at the facility and tried to "Refresh" and tried several times. I tried two different drives, including one of the vista did before.

    Hi Anita,.

    Thank you for the update.

You tried to perform the steps in article cannot refresh or reset the PC after that auto repair fails in Windows 8?

Once you have upgraded to Windows 8 online, you would have entered your e-mail address. Then, you should have received the product key in your email. So please check your email for key product and then perform the steps to update Windows.

You can create installation media by following the steps in the article by using the product key.

  • Damaged installation media Preiere Pro 2 Mac

I have a license key valid for the Mac's first Pro 2 version but my "exploded" in the drive installation media. This is why I have a valid key, but nothing to use it with. Adobe are no help and tell me that they do not have to download older versions (apparently, this is because I bought a boxed version, if I had bought a download they might be able to help even if they don't have copies of all older versions anywhere in their organization - that is why they can't help me).  and so I will have to buy the new version. WHAT? This is a very expensive software and I need the latest and greatest. I have suits me very well. Can someone point me in the direction of an install image or download the trial version (if that would work?) so that I can use the software I paid for?

When you pay a lot for the software I expect better service the customer. What makes me really crazy however is that all people who have no morals about piracy of software just take the last version for nothing so that those of us who are trying to do things straight still end up getting fuck by Adobe. What happens if my installation media had not failed enough so dramatically, but simply had deteriorated over time and eventually failed? These things are happening. I thought I bought a license, not a physical drive. You know for sure that if I had a physical disk but no license key that they would tell me the key has been the important part and that actually it's what I bought. Give than I am so tempted to join just any of the moral of the gang and take their software for nothing, but my principles prevent me to do.

    Damn principles!

Anyway, if anyone can help with the installation media for first Pro 2 for Mac, I would be grateful. I not looking for anything suspicious, I have the license, I just need Installer to attach it to.

    Thank you.

It turns out that the product has actually been CS4 - why they said it was the first pro 2 I'll never know. I was beginning to wonder if they were actually referring to first 2 - where my comment about 6.5 being more recent, but we finally got solved now. Thank you for your contribution to all.

  • I can do a recovery drive, but it is not valid when I try to use it to restore or freshen up my PC.

Upgrade to Windows 8 Pro 64 bit of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. After experiencing a few problems with graphics drivers AMD (missing tabs) I wanted to refresh the PC, or, if this does not work, restore to the default values.

Using the included utility, I can do a recovery on a USB disk. In total approximately 223 MB files. No errors.
When I try to restore/PC Refresh, however, there are "some files are missing," even if the recovery disk is connected. After you remove the USB and reconnect, the error is "the inserted media is not valid."
Why can't I make a recovery disk valid?
When I try to restore/PC Refresh, however, there are "some files are missing.

You may need to restore the boot first files?  There are advanced options to make this...

Apparently, this message is intended for your scenario.   Who would have thought?

Otherwise, my tack (curiosity) would be to try to get more information on the missing files, perhaps by looking for files changed and readable log files.

  • Need to create an installation media for Windows 8 (not 8.1)

I recently had need to reinstall Windows 8.1 due to a crash problem. I am now stuck because of the key, I bought and that a Microsoft tech I had a chat session with said use the button install Windows 8 on the following page:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only

Well, it doesn't work and think that I have no internet connection then further down the same page is a link to create the installation media if you get this message but isn't only for 8.1 8. My key does not work on a clean install of Windows 8.1, which I already have a DVD. When I came across this problem, a comment I found said to use a generic key because the installation will not continue. Well, it worked, but when I tried to activate Windows with my purchased key, he acknowledged, because apparently my installation media was just 8.1 and not Pro that I bought. I asked the tech if I could use the web page above to reinstall Windows again and he said yes, but make sure you use Windows 8.

I saw the link above referenced in many places on this forum for people who want to install 8 don't not 8.1, but it leads to the same place, and when you launch mediacreationtool.exe, there are only options for 8.1.

I've been going round in circles on links to Microsoft, but the creation of the only available media seems to be to 8.1. Where can I download the installation for Windows 8 only media?

It shows how to use a WIndows 8 key to activate a Windows Installer Clean 8.1 in stage 4 information box in the blue link.
