Creating a brand embossed on fine art printing.

I'm trying to produce an image that emulates a stamp dry artists so that I can use it on a web page.

It is a part of the image, I was sent to copy:

DSCN1932-(2).jpg

Here is my attempt.  I just did white letters and used workers & Emboss with Contour:

DSCN1932.jpg

I think it's OK, but I don't like the hard lines and I wonder if someone could tell me if it is possible to really coax him so that it looks more to the original document.

Thank you

Martin

Another option would be to make the emblem in normal black, save it on as an alpha channel, the alpha with the Gaussian, Blur Blur channel add a layer filled with all this color and apply the filter lighting with texture effects, the value of the alpha channel you just indeed and deselect the white box if your text is black in the alpha channel

  • Adobe color utility "fine art print media" greyed out

I've been printing color targets for ICC profiles using Adobe color print utility. The software worked using "photo paper", but when I tried to print using the "fine art" media choices have been shaded. I print on an epson 3880. Epson told me that this is not their problem--it's an application problem. I updated my latest print driver and I am on OSX 10.10. Help would be appreciated. • Print settings Pro - 10 - you can print edge to edge on paper Fine Art?

I have a printer Canon Pro-10. We know that in the printer settings if you set the Type of media to a fine arts paper then the driver applies a margin of 30mm printing. So if you try to print from Lightroom, but have margins of 10 mm, it refuses to print until you change something.

Now I can get around this by setting the media type on a photo paper so I could print the edge on a paper fine art.

    My question is;

I can set the paper size in the Page Setup dialog box, I color managed by Lightroom and I actually use the right ICC profile for the paper and printing, this media Type setting does nothing with regard to printing? I printed some impressions on canvas and I see no difference in print quality?

Control color ICC profile. Media type controls how the ink is expected. It has been my experience that as long as you select a similar surface types everything comes out fine.

  • PIXMA Pr0 10: Is there a dedicated paper Fine Art available to the United States?

My old Pixma Pro9500 mk II had a dedicated Art paper printing Guide download.

Download dedicated for my new Pixma Pro-10 says it's for the Pixma Pro - 1. However, it has dedicated pixma pro-10 Art printing paper Guides available in other countries (for example the Australia). What is going on?

Clarification: I don't know of ICC profiles for non_canon papers or other manufacturers. With the 9500 mk II some papers must select a driver to another paper so that the ICC profile to work properly.

    Help, please

Type recommended media and paper source would be the same, regardless of the printer because the paper is the same. Just the ICC profile would be different.

Most of the documents of third parties provide ICC profiles setting recommendations as well.

  • How to print a doc created in Win 7 on a virtual printer XP.

    When you use Win7 I can't print (Canon imageclass D380) nor I can't install the driver 64.
I installed XP virtual and everything using the driver for XP from Canon through which I am able to print.
I have however to create documents in Win7.
My dilemma is an inability to migrate my win7-doc to the virtual xp printer.

The USB3 port was the problem. I have 3 hard drives external Iomega with integrated Hub. They are chained and the printer is connected to the second drive. The chain was connected to one of the 3 USB ports on the computer. I moved the printer directly to a USB 2 port on the computer. Now, the printer fixed and installed ok. It also prints Visio very well.

I noticed in one of the other forums that he said that you only set once to get the printer installed, but apparently this is not true because I released it and tried to print and drawing went to print but don't print until I have re-attached the printer. Not a big deal. Now I have just to re - organize my office to get less sloppy wiring.

Thanks a lot for your help and your patience. I withdrew 8 years as a computer tech for NCR, but it doesn't take long to get obsolete. But I still have some of the tenacity which leaves me not a market problem. My next design project will be mapping the computer with all ports and hubs, and how they are connected.

    Thanks again

  • What is the display screen color recommended for fine arts

I need to send pictures of my works so, what color recommended for my screen?

Each monitor will interpret according to local settings of RGB. LCD monitor displays colors in this way, by combination of red, green and blue LEDS (light emitting diodes). It is an additive color model in which Red, green and blue are added together in various ways to reproduce a wide range of colors.

You have no control over other peoples screens settings

Make it look good on your is the best you can do.

If you want to print CMYK is a subtractive color model, used in color printing, which you have control of the finished product.

  • Creating a PDF file from the screen printing on Windows Photo Gallery

I need to print to PDF from Windows Photo Gallery - specifically the contact sheet

Do I need to have something put in place in the printer section to do this?  like to convert it to the PDF format

    Hello k. Hilger,.

The Windows Photo Gallery does not read or open the PDF files.

The best way to print PDF files is as you say, take a snapshot using the screen printing screen.

Save the file as .jpeg and then open with Windows Photo Gallery and you should be able to print it out.

You may not make any changes to your printer.

  • Fine Art looks different after upgrade to 2015 CC

    Screen Shot 2015-07-01 at 10.33.19 AM.png

Don't know if the attached image can be viewed at full size, but I work on this illustration for a few days and I noticed that the appearance of fine lines (specifically the hiking trails in the park along the north shore of the Lake Merritt) have radically changed how they watched every day until this morning when I installed the update of 2015. It seems that the smoothing function does not work. The lines appear smoother except zoom to 100%. Any suggestion or idea as to why the edges of these lines look in staircase with zoom out now? The edges of the line have a weight of 0.1 stroke, but always looked smooth until this update. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • I created a PDF from InDesign file and printing wants convert me to curves...

... I don't have Illustrator, so I don't see how I can convert the file in curves and I really don't understand why I should. The file will print well on my printer and when they sound proof in their printer there is no errors. So, why would they change for an Illustrator file and convert to curves? It seems that technology goes backward rather than forward for me. Does anyone have the answers elsewhere telling me to buy Illustrator (or subscribe) or telling me to recreate the document (which I don't have time to do? Thank you.

You should not. You should find a printer that works in this century.

That said, if another printer that is not an option for some reason, make sure that there is no transparency on EACH page, so you can use a parameter of flattening personalized setting to convert type to outlines during flattening (the only way to preserve things like points out, paragraph nets and automatic bullets and numbers). "" See InDesignSecrets "Blog Archive" the conversion of the text Outlines The Right Way and Possible bug: text w / flattening in CS5

  • Print from InDesign prints fine, but print after that exporting to PDF prints black as gray, low Image quality

    Hi all

I have a printing problem going on with a document that I am currently trying to print.  When you export to PDF (high quality print or press quality setting, as well as to any possible color output) and then print, black my document go to the gray and the images look washed out.  This does not happen if I print directly from InDesign on my printer.  I tried to change the merger of transparent space, change the color profiles document and corresponding to export options to the options used when you print directly from ID, all without success. the document is always printed wrong when exporting to PDF first.  Any ideas why this might happen when exporting or printing to PDF, but not when you print directly from ID?  Thanks in advance for any help!

I see.  Is there a way to ID artificially add CMY export in the same way as it does when sending to print?

Is the destination of the document a composite digital printer or an offset press? If it is composite set your black preference for export fills and convert to RGB on export:

In Acrobat, the two blacks will be 0. 0 | 0 RGB and will display the same

  • Why can't I create a good performance of Acrobat to print from Lightroom in Win 7?

I have two computers: an older XP laptop computer with many applications and an old Win7 dedicated workstation for 6 months for a photography work.  Everyone has Acrobat 10.1.0 and Lightroom installed 3.4.1.

Sometimes I print proof of batches of photos using Lightroom Print, print to Adobe PDF.

On XP, I have never had trouble printing an Acrobat PDF from Lightroom.

On Win7, I NEVER was able to print a good PDF Acrobat from Lightroom.  A PDF file is produced that is readable and contains all the text expected properly prepared in the planned grid (names, page numbers), but it contains only a fraction of the photos, anywhere between zero and a significant percentage.  Each photo that appears is actually complete and not partial.  If I re - run the print job, sometimes different photos materialize than last time. The number of photos in the batch seems to make no difference to the result - also very small batches have the problem.

Something more - it takes that long in Lightroom to print format PDF as you would expect, in other words, it seems to be made each appropriate photo.

I'm stumped on how to solve this problem.  I reinstalled Acrobat and Lightroom, and during the last 6 months since I have this machine, I was setup one-time release of these two products, any combination of which worked for me.

Any tips on what I can do about it?

This was identified as a problem in Acrobat and in the system for a fix.

Thanks to cross barriers and reports.

  • Yet created DVDs of nervousness, a fine of Premiere Elements

    Hi all

It's driving me crazy and I tired to reduce it to the most basic question I:

I have a MPEG-2 video that was created by importing a VOB first elements and then write MPEG-2 using the present DVD-video (29.97 NTSC, bottom first, etc.). When I still import as an asset of this clip, I see that it recognizes as regularly, he coded because the properties for the clip show that no transcoding is required. However, when I build the DVD video plays very unstable on some screens, especially the older if it's a clue.

Here is the mystery - when I take this same clip and import in a first timeline elements and burning the disc directly from there he is superb on all screens.

My understanding is that import the VOB by saving them as MPEG-2, I have clips from DVD loan which have not been converted and need not be. Why on Earth first elements seem to honor it and give me video without flicker, but still does not work? BTW, I would stick with elements except that I need custom menus.

    Advice would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Mike

Still retranscode if you have legal assets of the mpeg-2 DVD as Premiere Elements is retranscode them. I think that there may be a problem with the assets of mpeg-2 that attaches all building (transcoding) a DV in Premiere Elements. Just select one different preset that auto and ask again to transcode your files and compare the results.
