• Copy of data in Hyperion Planning time consuming

  Hello.
  I use copy of data in hyperion planning (11 1 2 2) to copy from one scenario to another selection account annotations and supporting details.
  The essbase copy of the completed data (checked sessions) part, but when I checked the console work in planning, he said: treatment for more than 2 hours.
  My planning java heap size is 1.5 GB and the backup database is SQL server
  
  My suspicion is that the issue was with sql backend. but I have no where to start.
  anyone can guide me please.

  It get connected in the HSP_JOB_STATUS table. I think that it disappears once you restart Planning.

  I understand that you use 9.3 and to prove that it is not a question of ODI, log into planning from the web, add one manually with thai characters, then refresh the application to push information to essbase, then look at the Member in EA.

• Error creating database of Essbase Hyperion Planning

  While creating the database Essbase Database 'manage' in Hyperion Planning, I get the following error:
  
  com.hyperion.planning.olap.EssbaseException: account (1060000)
  
  It gets stuck to the addition of Dimensions.
  
  I tried to reconfigure the planning, but not luck.
  
  My relationship is MS SQL Server 2005 and the Essbase and Shared Services are on a Linux machine.

  Have you tried to restart the services and give it a try?

  What version of Essbase/Planning are you on?

  If the name of your server Essbase has more than 30 characters, please use NODENAME with the short server name.

• Creating XML data server

  Hi guys,.
  
  I can't create a server of data to XML files. I have XML files in my local directory and I want to import into ODI. Please let me know the steps for creating a root for the same thing. I can't define the schema and URL parameters. If not, please direct me to any example for the creation of a data server for XML files available on the internet.

  To generate an XML in a RDBMS table-

  1 topology manager - insert a server data (user name, pwd not required), choose the driver in the form of url "com.sunopsis.jdbc.driver.xml.SnpsXmlDriver" and jdbc as ' jdbc:snps:xml? d = C: / abctest.dtd "and if you want to reverse a Xml file jdbc url will be" jdbc:snps:xml? f = C: / abctest.xml.
  Note that you should have your placed dtd before giving the location... Click test... It should say 'successful connection '. Insert a diagram logical and physical... also to select your data schema and the scheme of work of gout dow.it shud be somewhat similar to your "root element"... a little...

  2 Goto designer--> insert a new model--> specifies the XML technology... global context... standard reverse... all your elements in DTD will be visible as data warehouses... to reverse them.

  3. to fill each element, you will need to create an interface. Put the source as Oracle db table and target is your store of XML (any element you wish to fill).

  4. by default the PK of the root of your item will be 0.

  5 create an interface to fill your second... put element element FK root as 0 and fill in the required columns.

  6. use "IKM SQL command append", different rest as target area and put it under Oracle db only.

  7. now, create a procedure to create an xml file, like "create xmlfile from a scheme.

  8 set this interface on the first, then this procedure in a package and run it. It will create an xml file to the specified location.

  9. you can create "n" number of interfaces with the elements of "n" and write in the xml file.

  Note: by default after overturning the DTD, it automatically creates the PKs and FKs also order some columns... so that you can tell him the order of the items or subitems in your xml file.

• OutlineLoad utility not only loading text or dates in Hyperion Planning

  Good afternoon

  I tried several times to use the Outlineload utility to load the text and dates in an unsuccessful planning application. I use the Version of EPM: 11.1.2.1. Here are the steps I took:

  1. in EPMA, created a new Member, CommentsText, under the accounts dimension and all its data type 'Text' and then deployed the application.

  2. has created the following source file:

  Pilot Member, value, perspective, loading data Cube name

  CommentsText, go to my comments, here, ' Jan, FY10, USD, real, Final, C101 ", BUD_IS

  While preparing the source file, I made sure all the dimensions were represented by one member at the lower level.

  3. I ran the command below to the DOS command line:

  OutlineLoad S:Localhost A:PLN_GAL /U:admdem / m /I:d:\temp\loadtext5.csv /TR /L:d:\temp\Outlineload-log.log /X:d:\temp\Outlineload-exceptions.exc

  See the command to run successfully. This is what the log file:

  [Thu Sep 26 19:16:38 CDT 2013] A refresh of the cube operation will not be run.

  [Thu Sep 26 19:16:38 CDT 2013] Create filters for safe operation will not be performed.

  [Thu Sep 26 19:16:38 CDT 2013] Look at the files of newspapers of Essbase to status if Essbase data have been loaded.

  [Thu Sep 26 19:16:38 CDT 2013] Planning of vector data store finished loading processes. 1 data record has been read 1 record of data have been processed, 1 has been loaded successfully, 0 is rejected.

  But even if the log indicates that the comments were written, no text is written!

  Two possible problems, I've noticed are:

  1. the logs says: "located and using"OFADataLoadDimension"dimension for the loading of data into the application"PLN_GAL" I don't know what can be the dimension "OFADataLoadDimension."

  2 even if I put the text in EPMA data type, the data type is NUMERIC - NOT TEXT and more once I have deploy the application and check with the console service Regional. This blows my mind. I don't know why this is happening.

  Can someone please help? I tried A to Z for 2 days without success.

  I suppose that you have set the order of evaluation in EPMA - Parameter Data Type evaluation order

  To be honest that I have not used the utility outlineload to load the data when planning is EPMA mode, only in classic mode, in theory, it should work as it isn't metadata and data but not something that I tested.

  The location of the utility all depends on the version as it was preparing round several times on your version of the utility should be in \Hyperion\HyperionPlanning\Utils

  Hello

  This problem is related to you not having is not a coherent framework for your type of date entry.

  So, go to the administration of the application and define the date format DD/MM/YYYY in the application settings and display options, under current default application settings. Then after doing that as a user, go to user preferences and display options and the date format, select the same. Or delete automatically detect them.

  I've seen this behavior if you detect automatically on the user's preferences

  I saw most of the answers saying we need to extract the data of Essbase (as Essbase stores planning data). But what happens if I want to retrieve data that is stored in the relational repository with its data into Essbase? As list of smart, the textual data in the case of system 9?

• Unable to open the data on hyperion planning form

  When I open the data form this message appears:
  "Your data request refers to a member who does not know planning or Essbase. Make sure that all members are defined in the planning and Essbase'

  First do you have confirmed all the elements you reference on your form exist in Essbase using EAS - if perform a refresh of the planning database solves this problem is the problem.

  Then, confirm that if you use substitution variables, as they are indeed correct values.

• Hyperion Planning 9.3 BPMA vs classic

  We are on Hyperion Planning 9.3 (including all the latest patches). We are building a new planning application. Currently we donot have an ETL tool and it does not appear we will get for each other a few months up to what our new planning application is deployed into production. So in summary we will not have an ETL to solve the below problem.
  
  I used classical planning as an ETL tool to build my meta - data in recent implementations and have not had the chance to use BPMA. Recently, I started to get aquinted with BPMA and understand some of its benefits. However, I have a few specific questions;
  
  1. I know classical planning allows a manual creation of members, BPMA allows the same? BPMA should have flat file or table interface to create or add members? Our business users would be manual creation of some members, or for example to change the month of beginning or end of a "scenario". Thus, BPMA allows manual editing and push metadata?
  
  2. If an application is created using BPMA, they would have to interface via BPMA not classical planning and more. Is this true?
  
  3. I understand that it is possible to convert a classic application of planning in BPMA but 'NO' to vice versa. Is this true?
  
  4. Finally, a more difficult question, a more specific question that a little, dictates the choice for us.
  
  My customer wants to each Department to make their respective budgets (noting unusual there). However, most of these departments 'Project' and more specifically budget for budget based on 'Project name' (which are unique and not generic) as opposed to "Project numbers" (is not a standardization project number as yet). The challenge will be "project names" in Hyperion Planning (unfortunately it does exist not in the ERP/GL because these are new projects).
  
  Thus, although the finance team approves the budget of each Department, ultimately they like each Department would be able to create their respective names 'project' in Hyperion planning. And planning of such capabilities that support retail, etc. wouldn't work because they love resulting variance of "Names of project" and slice-n-dice from "project names.
  
  Now if we had an ETL tool above would have been simple, that I would have just created an automatism to say pickup a file with "Project Names" from a folder location is pre-determined. However, because we donot have an ETL, I was wondering if BPMA could do the same thing, i.e., in way automatic pick-up a file to a folder and create members and refresh Hyperion Planning? Could the "batch processing" in BPMA handle this?

  If you go down the road of the use of an ETL tool to integrate as a result of the EMP, so, my suggestion is ODI (Oracle Data Integrator)
  I wouldn't go too EPMA up to version 11, otherwise you'll be on here post error messages

• Question about RKM Hyperion Planning

  We had set up the environment to load data into Hyperion Planning and environmental works very well since the first introduction. Recently, we add a new 'table Alias' in the planning application, and in order to load new description in the aliases table, re-run us the process reverses in ODI. However, we cannot find the new table "Alias" in ODI for the mapping of data after completing the reverse process. Any thoughts?

  ODI 10.1.3.4.6 on Windows 2003 Server
  Hyperion Planning merger Edition 11.1.1.0.0

• Hyperion Planning Forms opens is not in Smartview

  I created two new forms Hyperion Planning Using Variables of Substitution Essbase.  They make in the workspace with no problems.  But in trying to open with SmartView, I get a (undefinable) error message that explains the shape is not valid.  Have never seen this before and am at a loss for what is the cause.  I changed to hardcode the 'year' and the 'Scenario' instead of SubVars, but still does not.  I use the 11.1.2.3.500 Version.  I have attached the error I get below.

  For a test, can you copy these forms with a different name, avoid the slashes in the naming convention and give it a try...
