  I managed to get this working. The documentation is very vague. The BEEP report gets the parameters 'default' and LOV based on the presentation and the column variable in OBIEE analysis he uses as a data set. You can't see these variables as parameters on the BEEP report presentation.

  Update: open a folder with support - special characters * and?  are not allowed in the domain of the email address part.  That's what is validated during creation.

  It is also not really any EASY way to get those email addresses that contain these characters - I can create filters that will shoot only so many email addresses and then filter through Excel.  This is going to be painful because I have several million in our database.  I may be able to get many of them through other criteria (lack of activity, rebounds, etc.), so I'll probably wait on them.

  Please make sure that you work in 8 bits/channel and RGB mode. (Under Image > Mode > Select RGB and 8-bit per channel) lightning effects only works in this mode.

  Also in preferences > Performance > "Use Graphics Processor" must be checked.

  Try to place @{biServer.variables ['NQ_SESSION.]} {[USERS ']} in your title exactly bar as I put it here. It's a standard predefined variable that comes with OBIEE who must return the user name of the logged-on user.

  It's the correct syntax to use, so if it works then replace ' NQ_SESSION. The USER ' with your name of the variable.

  This test will determine if the problem is in your syntax to reference to a variable, the variable itself or the bar title in which you place it.
