  I'm not aware of everything and notes that "implement for the APK Android" is against the terms of use for DPS. You shouldn't be trying to change the .apk file downloaded from the App Builder.

• do not start the service push sample application

  Hi all, I have downloaded and installed the v1.0.0.5 BlackBerry Push Service SDK and tried to install it based on the Quick Start Guide. The first problem was that I couldn't start the Tomcat. After I double-clicked start.bat, I just a blank command window, open for 1-2 seconds and immediately close. I never had the same problem with another application using Tomcat, and can be resolved by using my own installation of Tomcat program. So I do the same thing, I use my own installation of Tomcat program. After that, I get the Tomcat service, but only service non-secure (http), not its secure (https) service. But I think that is not the problem, as long as I can still access it. Then I deploy the sample application (war file: debug-portal, sample-app and pushsdk) to my Tomcat and try to start it. I've got to start the Debug-Portal and pushsdk only, no-sample application. When I tried to start the sample application, I got this message: FAIL - the context path/sample-app Application could not be started, I searched this forum and have had almost similar problem. But those who wrote the display had the problem that all applications could not be started. And he found that it was caused by application_id. He forgot to put the id of the application during installation. I put my application_id (even if it's just false application id, 123456789012345). Can someone help me? How can I install and run the sample application? Thank for any help. PS. I use Windows Server 2003, Tomcat 6.0.20, Oracle 10 g and there's a Glassfish server on my pc (but it was off when I try this push-service application example). Best regards, Novan Ananda

  Well Yes... I forgot to enter the app_id on sample-app - context.xml. all applications work now.

• Option to uncheck a type of plan when you create a new planning application

  I create a new planning application where I can have only 2 types of plan. I want to disable the third type of plan that is established not to when I press the button create, but the boxes are grayed out. Has anyone run into this situation before and I did fix you?

  Sharing the fix in response to the post here:

  The 'Unknown error' error was due to the fact that underlying configuration of HFM with Foundation was broken and so HFM complained of another error, "the system cannot find the path specified".

  Then as an effort to solve the problem, in a scenario where I had to uninstall, reinstall and re-config component HFM which solved the problem.

• 6 Android: Stage3D AIR application cannot return background

  Description of the problem:

  AIR for android app with < application android: hardwareAccelerated = "true" > will get stuck and not respond if brought to the foreground from the background in Android 6.0 (Marshmallow).

  We did a few test with Nexus (6.0 Android) device and were able to reproduce the issue with the sample of Starling project.

  App could not continue when tried to switch between apps twice, while our application is not the first time.

  Reproduction:

  Application was packed with latest AIR SDK (19.0.0.213), Nexus 5 / 7 (both 6 Android)

  App should continue to run, but in reality stucks (black screen) and the operating system invites you to put end unreponsive app on the second attempt to bring it to the foreground.

  Disabling hardware acceleration seems to bypass the question, at the cost of performance. (< application android: hardwareAccelerated = "false" >)

  We would like to hear other developers who tested their app (especially the Stage3D apps) in Android 6 Marshmallow.

  Currently we have no other choice than to tell clients to refrain from upgrading their version of the OS.

  6 Android crash problem when targetSDK is set to 23 has been fixed in 20 AIR beta.

  We are still working on the problem of crash after application returns background.

• Android.cfg file not created - BB10 Push Notification

  I'm enbaling push notification in my android app BB10 runtime. I'm following this doc to implement the push. I developed the Android using Novell project. I tried different ways to create the file cfg under bar.

  1. Before you create the apk, added the cfg file in the root of the project name of the application (tried naming as android.cfg also).
  2. Using this apk, I generated the .bar file, but Android folder, res folder and apk file do not exist, cfg file is not exist.
  3. Then I tried to add file cfg under bar file after you have created the apk but before signing bar leader, but I started getting the following error:

  My adobe account is configured to publish on an existing iPad app. I am trying to create an Android app, but some of the features of our iPad-designed problems do not work on various Android tablets. So I've created specific to Android folios that eliminate these features. These slips are the same dimensions as the iPad folios, however, Android applications, I create recognizes that all published as downloadable folios on this tablet (designed by iPad or Android-designed). That I don't want.

My research shows that I needed to create a whole new folio size and specify the size when creating my controls rendering app and setting.   In this case, where the sheets are the same size, you must create a separate account of publication and publish Android folios to this account. Point the viewer Android on the new account, rather than on behalf of your iPad.

  "Renditions" will not help you because they depend on the size of the pixels, and you are publishing the folios of the same size for iOS and Android.

• DPS App generator - problem creating Android app

  Hello.

  I seem to have a problem of creating an Android application of in DPS App generator. I wonder if someone could help see if I am doing something obviously wrong.

  With my app work (which works fine in the Preview on the Viewer application), since InDesign I then...

  1. select my Folio and the menu «Create App»

  2 when the Builder App Launches, I only see the option to create an iPad app. If I logout and back again using the same account, I can see a list of previously created applications. I can select "create new" at the bottom of the screen and go through all the steps correctly (app name, icons and splash screens etc.) and without error.

  3. I then finished creating the application and I'm able to download the .apk on my desk (after selection of the .p12 and the password)

  4. when I load this on my Nexus 7 and run, I get the splash screen and a white screen

  Here's the thing... Although I seem to have created an Android application, I don't know if I have actually , as I have not see any references to the Folio at the start of the version of Android (step 2 above). In addition, the file size seems too small for the included assets. I have created an 'empty' app that includes only the icons, the splash screen and the name (if necessary).

  For the record, the account I log within the App Builder is a DPS Professional Account.

  Using the workflow 'Create App"from the popup menu in Indesign is the workflow for a unique editing application integrated. And currently integrated unique edition app is not supported on Android, but because of that when you go through your workflow, you will only see the iPad and not Android app option.

  If you create an Android app, it must be a multi issue about where you post your your dahsboard folio and publish the same Folio to the distribution of Adobe server. And that you specify the ID of title as ID where you published the folio in your application builder when you create your android application.

• Air App for Android - error 301: application descriptor missing

  Greetings!

  Have built in Flash for a while, I am brand new to mobile development.  I am currently creating my first app Android, a very simple game called '302 saves the Galaxy '. I don't intend to sell the game.  I'm really just trying to learn my way through the process of publishing for future projects.

  I was able to get to the last step in creating the apk file and I get this error in the command line process-

  "Error 301: Application descriptor missing/cannot be opened.

  Here are some other details on my process-

  • In Flash, I chose to publish to Air 2.0, because it's the only option I had (IE, no Air 2.5 option)
  • I checked three times and all spellings seem to be correct in my command line syntax

  I don't know I'm missing something here obvoius.  Any suggestions?

• How to create a usable way applications programmatically

  We have about 10 projects with each generation at least 1 Definitions, this building manually is tedious.

  Looking to automate this I stumbled on http://www.ni.com/example/30051/en/. This has two problems, which makes it not really usable:

  • It uses the application arguments, so you call LabVIEW.exe programmaticbuild.vi - my.lvproj, but let's assume that you already have labview running and use this command, it will pass the arguments to the already running instance
  • to counter that I made a standalone version of programmaticbuild.vi, but this fails with
    Error code: 1025
    Source of the error: Reference of VI opened in .vi NI_App_Builder_API.lvlib:Build (path)-> BuildTargetBuildSpecification.vi-> programmaticbuild.vi

  Ideally, a solution to the second problem would be ideal, but a nice way around one would be a good start. Any ideas? Thank you!

  By definition your second option won't work not because one of the extirpes things a stand-alone executable is the ability to compile the code.

  With respect to option 1, it is to know if the list of command line parameters would be updated with additional 'Spear '. I do not know if he would, but I've never tried either...

  The utility I wrote just ask a project name when it starts.

  You do this a lot? It might be interesting to create a sort of build server that automatically rebuilt things after any change to a predefined list of projects.

Linksys web sites shows some applications (Android) that can be used for outside access (as with a mobile phone), but I can't seem to find them on the Google game market. Specifically looking for the application "device Monitr / Device Control» I found a "Smart Wi - Fi" app by Linksys on the market. I installed, but I can't seem to make it work. Can someone advise please what happens here, and how do I find a find, install and use an Android remote app, I can use with this router?
