  The dotted blue line indicates that the item is on a Master Page. You can edit in the master page, or shift + command + click (mac) to open it on the page of your document.

  Best practice is to avoid having things on master pages that will need to be unlocked.

  Just use navto: links between the cover and any other article. The trick is link to the article name as it appears in the folio generator Panel. FWIW, I recommend to use the buttons instead of hyperlinks.

  I can post some screenshots but my magazine is only 3 pages. 1 cover and 2 articles. This is why it seems crazy to have 3 files - especially when I can't from a file to another without using the table of contents of the viewer feature. Maybe that's how he wanted to work?

• Creating applications with InDesign

  I am a user of Indesign, and I plan to take a course on the development of applications with InDesign.  My understanding is that, in order to use this work, we would have to buy a license to use with DPS.  How much is something like this cost?  Adobe buries this information I can say.  I'm looking for a rough idea on what it would invest create a quarterly magazine distributed as an application (we already have the Creative Suite that I currently have to design our magazine as a quarterly print piece).  I'd like to try the interactive features but do not know that I'm going to bother with the course if it is prohibitive create applications.

  I think that the best you can do is set a warning covering the page inside an ESM with 2 buttons, one for the beyond the age limits and continues to the article, the other is for fewer years and has an action navto for the next article.

  What you need is called 'chain aggregation '.

  Is it possible to create multiple indexes for a single document in InDesign CS4? For example, imagine I have a book on animals, and I want to have an index to common names (in English) of the species and for the latin name of the species. Or maybe I want to have an index of authors, followed by an index of keywords to a book which is a collection of summaries of a conference.

  You can create an index, but there is a way around this. For you the names English and Latin, prefix, for example, all English names with 'E' and the Latin names with 'L_ '. The index that you generate will have two sections, one with the headings starting with E_, the other with words beginning with L_. Delete these E_ and L_ and you have your two index.

  Note you do not need extension fancy or short-lived technology to create menus, going for a simple ExtendScript.

  I have been creating static ads for Google AdWords etc for a while but I would begin to create animated pools. Show ads of beautiful movement, that are not video, but I don't know how to go about creating them. Should I use Dreamweaver to create HTML files, Adobe animate... I don't know even where to start.

  I used Photoshop to create animated Gifs, but they eventually pixelated. I want one Announces sharp and bright eyes that allows to move the text and images. So, I would be so grateful for any idea or any recommendation tutorial.
