Creating columns combined in figures

I'm looking to create twin columns, i.e. 2 columns that share a header, but I don't see how. I was looking for a function, like the "Split Cell", but could not find anything. I want 12 headers with the name of each month. Under each month, I wanted 2 columns, one with the name of the expenditure and the second with the amount of the expense. I set it up so that the horizontal positions are the months and the vertical position (the first cell in the row) is the CATEGORY of expenditure.

At the end of the day, I want both a statement of expenses paid and the ability to map how much $$ is spent in each category.

It seems easy to do, if I can just find a way to have two columns within each month heading.

Select both cells in adjacent columns, then merge the cells... like this:

Now select the menu item "table > merge cells.

Overall, however, I recommend merging the cells should be avoided because it causes problems when the filter, sorting and other times that escape my mind.

Have you looked at the personal budget that summarizes the data from a table of data entry?

    In Oracle BI answers, I created two columns using case statements. These columns return the value of ' 0 'or a ' 1'. I would like to create another line which divides the results of these two columns.

    However, since I myself have created and renamed these columns, I can't reference it in another formula of column in the "typical" report "" Format of variables. Is there a way that I'm able to reference these columns? Or is it possible that I am able to use an arithmetic function to divide the results of two case statements?

    Welcome to the world of OBIEE

    You cannot reference your owner created columns (Forms) by a name or a variable, OBIEE means in this case is to use the complete formula again.

    In your column formula window, you have a drop down showing you the columns existing in your analysis, if you select one of your 2 columns, you will see that OBIEE does not insert a reference (name) of your column in the formula, but it will again insert the complete formula.

    It of the way it works, so if you change the formula in one of your columns 2 you must also, by yourself, update the formula in the 3rd column with the division.

    Is it possible to create columns in a text frame on one part of the text in the frame? For example, can I turn a paragraph into two columns while the rest of the text in the frame is just a single column?

    Or is the only way to achieve this to insert and set another block of text in the original frame?

    No, it's the same thing. In the dialog box files to combine press Options and select 'Single PDF' as file Type.

    I have a question on the OBI EE meta data layer.

    We have OBIEE sitting on a with a star schema data warehouse.

    Our fact table contains the following fields...

    EmployeeID
    CompanyID
    ID of the measure
    The measure name
    MEASURE

    That's what we have in the physical layer, layer MDB and the presentation layer, but I want to be able to "create columns with a where clause.

    So my table of facts in the presentation layer would look like this

    Quantity sold
    Unit cost
    Amount of the company



    I thought I could just create a logical with column

    Quantity = measurement
    where as name = "quantity".

    But I can't find any to do so.

    Any ideas?

    I think that what you want to achieve must be done in the physical layer and not the business layer.
    Instead of using your physical table directly from the DB, you must create a physical table based on an SQL statement.
    GO to the physical layer you / create the new object table in Table type choose "Select" and then you write your select statement as you want.
    Once this is done to create your physical joins and import your table into your business layer and create your complex joins
    This should do the trick.

    I have a brochure that I am designing with 4 columns of text.  I like the idea of editing the text easily with the 4 value text box type options with a gutter between each column.  In each fold is a chart as shown.  I need the columns to fit each space itself with gutters exactly on each graph but spread evenly on both sides so that the text includes a space treated around him, but somehow can not reach it.

    I didn't measure but by eye or it seems to me that your columns are not equal size - the first and the last are wider than the two in the middle. Thus, the type of text box options cannot be used to create columns that will be include in these spaces. Why don't create you areas of text for each area and then bind the text flow - I don't think it will take longer to use the type of text box options.

    Not possible unfortunately. The only place where that would happen is on the Group of people, where combinations are created dynamically based on values supplied for group of segments. Job, you must specify a value for p_job_id who must already exist as a valid job.

    Jobs can be created using hr_job_api.create_job

    You want to create a column of CDA in the Data Modeler or the front-end server. In the Data Modeler, the CDA is summarized by date opposed to the month which is a very large number. On the front, it gives an error of invalid syntax when you use date (expr, time_period).

    The question seems to be a corrupt hierarchy of the time Dimension. It's working now.

    You can debug code that you don't see?  Nor does anyone here can.  And all you've shown is the only line where you assign values to a pl/sql variable.

    Of course, you write the line with the header of column once literals, then lines with actual data in some form of explicit or implicit loop.

    Hello.  I can't create text columns.  As an experiment, I created a div with a width to 450px and 200 px in height.  After typing the first line inside the div tag, the type goes to the second line when it reaches the width of the div to 450px.  But when you type in the second line, the text continues beyond the width of the div to 450px.  When I checked to see how it appears in the browser window, the text goes beyond the viewport.  Why does that happen? And how can I make the text to stay within the width of the div?   Thank you.
