  I'm working on a prototype site which has many images flown in the navigation. Each image is unique, but the code rollover and rollout is identical. I am trying to create a unique symbol which can be used for all the bearings, but need help to figure this out, because it will considerably speed up my work. I think that the pseudocode would work like this: Create a symbol that contains a default rollover image. In the symbol, add the code rollover and rollout. To set the transparency of 0 - > 100 and back. Create instances of the symbol on each element of the NAV. For each instance, set a variable containing the name of the rollover image to use. In this instance of symbol, get the value of the variable. In this instance of symbol, use the image name in the variable to replace the default image. Question: How do the job 4 to 6 step? I have 1-3 working smoothly. P.S. my last work of dev is waaaaay returns with the Director, PHP and ColdFusion. I still get basic principles such as the use of the functions, instances, objects, inheritance, etc., but the language has changed. And I have very very little experience with the DOM.   A big thank you Tim (?)!  You saved me a lot of hours on this project.  I'm still learning more jQuery / javascript behind Edge.  Could you assess if my interpretation of the loop content is accurate?  This is my understanding of the code is more limited:

  • SYM. $(array_btns [i]) - access to jQuery object associated with the element of border.
  • MouseEnter (...), - the content define the code to be executed during the passage of the mouse.
  • {obj:array_btns [i]} - refers to the element in the jQuery object, represented by the symbol of edge
  • function {...} - function to run on the given event within the given object/symbol.  The role of the "e" parameter is something I'm not clear on that.  The flow of the code, it seems to represent the edge symbol that contains the element that will be affected by the code.
  • var = e.data.obj BTN - implements a variable to refer to the side of edge.  I think it is the same symbol as number 1 above.
  • sym.getSymbol (btn).$("over").fadeIn (500) - runs the jquery code for fade in at the moment the jQuery "over" event is triggered.

  Also, I'm about to start testing to see if it works in nested symbols.   I guess compositionReady Trigger for each symbol, I can create a [array_btns] and then call sym.getComposition () .setup_btns ()?

  I already reported this bug, post it here if anyone has any information.

  Steps to reproduce the bug:

  1 incorporate a police call Font1

  2. create a new symbol

  3. in the symbol, create two text fields that use Font1

  4 duplicate symbol

  Results: You will notice that a copy of the policy has been created in the library

  Expected results: the symbol must be duplicated, but they should not be a copy of the created policy.

  In some situations, this can cause the software Crash. I can provide a detailed example of required.

  Thanks for reporting this! It was actually a cause of accidents in most common scenarios as well.

  This problem has been fixed now and the elements of the police is no longer get duplicated by trying to duplicate a symbol. Fix will be available with the next update.

  I have the following situation. I have an actionscript project in flex builder and I have a .fla in CS 3. In the fla of CS, I created a symbol with a class called HotSpot. Within this symbol, I have a movieclip called 'bg '. In my actionscript in felx Builder project I'm loading the swf from my fla 3 CS and I also speak the symbol of access point.
  
  My first problem when compiling with CS 3 was, that when I said "bg" in my class of HotSpot, 3 CS complained, 'bg' already existed, so I directly referred to in bg in my class HotSpot, without declaring, and 3 CS was happy. But as you can imagine, Flex Builder is not happy, he told me, 'bg' is not declared, and therefor I can't access it.
  
  Now, what should I do? If I declare, Flash CS 3 complains if I don't have, complains Flex Builder. ???

  OK, I found the solution by myself. It has something to do with the function automatically "declare instances of the scene" in Flash CS3. If you want to work with the same classes between Flex Builder and Flash CS 3, you must disable this feature, because Flex Builder, of course, knows nothing about instances of implicitly declared in Flash CS 3.

  and I declare the same variable in all the symbols of the scene:

  sym.setVariable ("symbol", symbol);

  then, inside the symbol called swipe_sym, I put this code:

  var point = sym.getParentSymbol ();

  var sym2 = stage.getVariable ("symbol");

  sym.getComposition () .getStage (). $(sym2) () .hide;

  swipe_sym symbol is a child of all the symbols of the scene.

  Hi, I'm not a programmer VC ++ itself, so you can't give the code, but I can give some general measures that can you can get and hopefully solve your problem.

  We can use the COM Indesign object to hunting Indesign and its functionlaity of VC ++ or c# and other. What we need to do is import tlb files in our project so that we have the declerations of the methods exposed by the COM of Indesign interface and make a call to them.

  The .tlb file is present at "C:\ProgramData\Adobe\InDesign\Version Visual Support\7.0\Resources for Basic.tlb 7.0\en_US\Scripting. You can use this to create your .h files using the #import statement.

  Once you have created .h I think that you will be able to call the methods of Indesign, of course, you will need to create an instance of the Indesign application.

  PS: The .tlb file exists in several places in your system in order to be sure that you use the last LBR. You can search for "resources for Visual Basic.tlb", rename it, and then start Indesign (it must re-create these files that will have the latest model of the object). On Win7 launch Indesign using Admin privelages to other teas file will not be created.

  I have a scenario where I have a datagrid with 100 records. each record using an itemrenderer IE check box. so according to the 100 records there may be 100 checkboxes in datagrid... But in my datagrid visible records are only 20... and I have to scroll datagrid...

  So what my questions is weather flex creates all instances of box 100 for 100 records or it will create only visible 20 boxes for 20 records... ?  I think you got my point?

  Come to ViewStack... creating varies on the ViewStack container's creationPolicy property...

  Containers with multiple views, such as the ViewStack and accordion, do not immediately create all of their descendants, but only those descendants that are visible in the initial view. Flex shifted the instantiation of the descendants who are not initially visible until the user navigates to a view that contains them. The following containers have multiple views and, therefore, are defined as navigator containers:

  ViewStack
  TabNavigator
  Accordion

  When you instantiate a navigator, Flex container creates all the children of higher level. For example, creating a ViewStack container triggers the creation of each of its points of view, but not controls within these points of view. The creationPolicy property determines the creation of the child controls within each view.

  When you set the property creationPolicy auto (the default), containers of navigator instantiate only the controls and their children who appear in the initial view.

  When the user navigates to another Panel in the accordion container, the container of browser creates the next set of controls and recursively creates the controls in the view of the new and their descendants. You can use the ViewStack container's creationPolicy property to change this behavior.

  The possible varlues for creationPolicy are all, auto (default), none and queued.

  You can't keep slideshows as captioned photos.  Slide shows get migrated in the form of albums for the Group of photos is maintained.  But Photos don't have the ability to add descriptions to the slide show so that they would have to be manually added to each slide automatically.

  However, a possible solution would be to export every slide show in iPhoto as a Quicktime movie file. Which will keep the titles and descriptions on each slide.  The resulting QT files can be imported into the iPhoto library before migration or photo library after.

  Hello again once, someone can tell me how I can open and manipulate (convert to Excel?) a database file created on a PC with 9 of paradox to Corel on my iMac?  The answer would be as simple as buying the paradox for Mac?  I don't even know if Paradox is offered for an environment of Apple but if so that could be the way for me to go there, otherwise, I guess that the only other way to use the database would be to convert it to Excel.  Thank you.

  Try to export the program PC CSV file or a tab-delimited text files. Both can be imported into Excel and other DB programs. I don't know what kind of Paradox file format uses, but you can try its importation to the module of data in Free agency. It's a free app.

  No, you can't.  One solution is to create 5 different slideshows and export them to the office where you can bring together them in a single quicktime movie file and use it.

• Mobile Firefox does not allow typing of national symbols with keyboard external usb.

  I use Asus PadFone with his keyboard native-station dock. When I try to enter text on a web page text field my keyboard is set to English. This does not happen when I write text in Firefox's search/url field. Tested with keyboard Russian and Lithuanian - it makes no difference. I can write national symbols with keyboard on the screen.
  There is no such problems with other browsers, so it is something with Firefox.
