Mobile Firefox does not allow typing of national symbols with keyboard external usb.

I use Asus PadFone with his keyboard native-station dock. When I try to enter text on a web page text field my keyboard is set to English. This does not happen when I write text in Firefox's search/url field. Tested with keyboard Russian and Lithuanian - it makes no difference. I can write national symbols with keyboard on the screen.
There is no such problems with other browsers, so it is something with Firefox.

Https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=669361 tomorrow looks like Firefox nightly build may have a fix for this. You can try the build at http://nightly.mozilla.org

  • Why firefox does not allow users to configure to play other types of media in the browser via its plugins?

Firefox has a plugin that allows you to play. Stream AVI files in the browser.
There are of course more types of file stream only. AVI that vlc media player (a very popular program) can play.
Why doesn't firefox allow these types of streams, that is to say - FLV to play using the browser firefox via the plugin?
Firefox does not even allow users to manually set this behavior.
I think it's ridiculous to have the potential to be a great another browser, but not yet the chance to compete because of this inconceivable gap.

You can create a new Firefox profile? See https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager

If it does not either, you could drag Firefox out of the Applications folder and in the trash, then download a new copy of mozilla.org/firefox/new and reinstall.

  • Firefox does not after clicking on the symbol, cannot remove firefox because it tells me that it is still open! Windows 7 64 bit

Firefox does not at all. Would like to remove it and reinstall, however when trying to uninstall a message pops up that I need to first close firefox! In short: impossible to remove firefox, impossible to reinstall, cannot use it. Operating system Windows 7, 64 bit, Sony laptop computer VAIO PCG 81213 M. Firefox worked just fine before. IE works fine.

This can help if you have had the same problem as me on the occasions.

Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar. In the menu that appears, select "start Task Manager". Along the upper part of the "Task manager" window, select the 'process '. You will see a list of running processes. Scroll down the list until you see Firefox. Select it and press the 'end process' at the bottom right. Click 'end process' on the warning popup that appears. Firefox should disappear from the list. Now you should be able to start or to uninstall. If Firefox does not appear in the list at all so this fix is not for you. I hope this helps.

  • Recently no matter what I do, Firefox does not allow me to use Adobe Reader rather than his own

I used to be able to display pdf documents using Adobe Reader instead of Firefox built in. I tried everything that you suggest and what Adobe suggest. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader (11.0.09). I went to the options of Mozilla, but when I try to change the settings of Document Portable, I don't get the option "Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox)". I get the Adobe forms but not for PDF documents. If I change to use Adobe Reader, it downloads and then open drive which is not I want. I want to use the plugin installed (I go to modules and it is installed and "always enable").

Help? This only started happening in the last month or two. I use the latest version of Firefox (33.0.2), Windows 7 (updated with all the updates, etc.).

I did a Reset Firefox. Then reactivated the plugins. Now he works with the Adobe Acrobat plugin, even if Firefox think (at least according to the Options-> Applications) that he uses the Foxit plugin. It does not give me the option to select the Macromedia software. But which loads when I access a PDF file!

As long as there is the work, I don't care on this issue.

Before that I started posting here, I already tried to uninstall and reinstall Firefox, uninstall and reinstall Adobe Reader, by removing the file pluginreg.dat, etc. and everything that I could find on the Mozilla site, the Adobe site and the rest of the web.

Thank you for all your help.

  • To access a particular Web site, I need to use Java 6 u 37, but Firefox does not allow me to, because it is obsolete. How can I do?

I downloaded the update of Java 6 37, but Firefox does recognize it not as a plug-in and so not even give me the option to activate it. There is no work around for this?

Firefox is a 32-bit application, so make sure that you have installed the 32-bit Java program and that Firefox can find its plugins.

  • Firefox does not allow Silverlight to run Netflix content on my browser after the most recent Microsoft update.

The Netflix support rep said that I now need to remove Firefox for 64-bit operating system and install Firefox 32 bits, which I don't even think is possible. I have Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Netflix was working fine until the update of Microsoft ran 36 hours ago. Now only Internet Explorer run Netflix content successfully. I uninstalled and re-installed Silverlight, rebooted my PC and no dice.

As for the 32-bit Firefox version you already have: 39 of Firefox is not available in a 64-bit version, at least not officially.

I think that your Silverlight is a different version of mine. Could you visit the Microsoft test page and see if he says you're good?

    http://www.Microsoft.com/getSilverlight/get-started/install/default.aspx

In addition, what kind of error do you receive when you try to access Netflix on Firefox? Details would be useful.

  • My car requires a two page sign-in Firefox does not allow me to go beyond the page 1.

During an attempt to log-in to my car, I type my ID on the page and press ENTER. Firefox has this message "Firefox prevented this page automatically redirecting to another page." If I click on allow it sends me back to page one.

It is rare, usually remittances form will not be considered as a redirect. Have you checked if the same problem happens in other uses of the site as well.

  • in 22 and 23.0 upgrate him disappears from the bookmarks toolbar and after crash firefox does not allow for recovery

I hate this new update. I basically can't use the browser more. I only need firefox to do things properly, but if she cannot do these things I can't use it

    1. If firefox crashes (it does every 30 minutes it completely closed), then I need to be able to restore / recover all previously open windows when I start it back up again. There is no more.

    2. I use the bookmarks toolbar all the time, but often it appears completely blank. So now, the only way I can see bookmarks is if I go to options and uncheck bookmarks toolbar option and reselect then toolbar of bookmarks.

It's so frustrating and worse still make you sure you can't do restorations! It of insulting and makes me want to not use your browser. A browser is a tool not criticizing a toy, but you guys will not stop playing with it.

Also, older versions of the extension, meet bugs, you can refresh by using:

Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons > "gear" button > "Check for Updates".

For example, GM 1.5 (November 2012) vs GM 1.11 (July 2013).

  • GMAIL does not allow typing into the text box

This seems to have occurred shortly after the upgrade to 22 FF... but I don't think it's directly related to the upgrade

Everyone knows a problem using the interface of GMAIL and Firefox 22 when you try to type a new e-mail... send or answer?

When I try to answer / transfer... or create a new email... the box opens... and if answer or forward... I get the ellipses (...) and when you click them... I can even see the message... but when I try to type in the message box. I have nothing happening... the RET works... but it's like the rest of the keyboard is disabled

    I tried

    (1) reload the page

    (2) logging out and in GMAIL

    (3) clear cache and cookies

    (4) close and restart 22 FF

    (5) demotion at FF 21

    (6) I have tried other browsers

    Using IE - managed
    Using Chrome - managed
    Using Safari - managed
    Using Opera - managed

< < None allow me to type in GMAIL > >

I noticed one thing... When Gmail loads... It crashes (more than usual) and then a bar FF popup comes up with the message

"Gmail has already been added as an application for mailto links."

I searched on this... and it seems to be related to setting FF to use Gmail as a customer MAILTO... I use Thuderbird... so I did not want to use Gmail as my client MAILTO...
