• Creating markers in metadata tags

  Hello

  I was wondering if there are (preferably MXF) metadata that will be represented as markers when tags the file containing these is imported to first - or a sidecar XMP is the only way to go here? The idea behind it is (outwardly) consolidate the individual clips from a disk (flash) in a single file and have markers where to start the previously single clips.

  All the markers, for all types of files, are stored in XMP.

  Note: Body stores the various XMP places for different file formats. However, if you use our calls get / setXMPMetadata (), your panel of should not care where we store the metadata; It'll just work.

  How do you concatenate these multiple clips? Prelude can do for you, as well.

  If your group has N bit files into one big file concatenation, you can 'do the math' to create markers on the aggregate file, corresponding to these markers which would have been for individual files.

  I'm up to page 165 of the Manual 6 first, trying to figure out the markers, and he says:

  Yes.  First of all, make sure that you have a selected clip and that the playhead is on the clip selected when you add a marker.  The ECP will only show markers outside the bounds of the selected element.  Second, make sure that you can see time of sovereign of the ECP.  It is easy to hide the view of the chronology of the ECP.

• Creating markers structured in FM9

  I am trying to create markers for an Index and a glossary in my EDD.  I think I followed the examples in properly structured Application guide.

  

  However, when I import the EDD in my template, select the text and try to put the marker, the single tag of the item available in the menu dropdown is < informal >.  I think that if I wrote the markers for ESD, shouldn't it be a < structured > option in the menu drop-down?

  

  I am missing a step or making a wrong assumption?

  You are right in half.

  Simply create elements for markers is not enough. You must also specify where they can be used. So, for each item in your EDD in which you want to be able to insert a marker element, you must change the general rule to include an optional part of marker. For example, the general rule for your item in paragraph would be something like:

  Elemtn (container): Para

  General rule: ( |) Index | GlossaryTerm) *.

  This indicates that the items in the Index and GlossaryTerm can be interspersed in the text of a paragraph element.

  When you have imported your ESD into your document or model, FrameMaker should have complained that you had defined an element that was not used.

  Well, sort of... you can set your browser to display the list and twirl the little open triangles.

  You will see all kinds of things, such as Favorites, keywords, etc..

  There is no way I know of to make sure that you only see the markers.

  I have a bunch of folders and subfolders, I created for various projects, but I don't always want to see them. (that is, I want to "collapse", while most of the time - I just see the Inbox, sent, spam and trash folders.)

  The only option I see is the equivalent of a power switch - that is to say, file view/page/component layout, or no record.

  If you uncheck the folders pane, you lose the Inbox, sent, spam and trash folders.

  The only suggestion that I would have to choose the name of the account, not the Inbox but the name of the main account.
  Right-click on the account name, and then select new folder.
  Name the project or something that makes sense to you.
  Now right-click in project and select new subfolder.
  The name of the subfolder.
  Repeat if necessary.
  There will be a pointer next to the projects folder where you can expand or collapse the tree of project files.
  This will only add an extra folder, projects, when the project tree is reduced.

I hope that something like Garageband or "better". Not really interested in "fun" apps - expected something more 'pro'-oriented...

• dynamically create and destroy the custom menu item

  I have a standard TestStand platform that I use on multiple systems.  On some systems, I have a few sequences of calibration and I would like to have the Update menu to have the RunSequence of these sequences of calibration.  I know how to manually create these menu items, but they are no longer valid for some sequence files.  I would use the sequence SequenceFileLoad to dynamically create menu items and the SequenceFileUnload to destroy these menu items.

  I've played around with the API, but cannot determine the correct path to get to the create and destroy the custom menu items.  Does anyone know how this can be done?

  Yes, see the online help for the members of the following APIs:

  EditTimeMenuItem

  Basically, you get a collection of tool using Engine.GetEditTimeToolMenuItems () menu items and then call EditTimeMenuItems.Insert () or EditTimeMenuItems.Remove (). If you insert a you get returns an EditTimeMenuItem object on which you can change the settings.

  In addition, since it has an expression to hide items in menu tool, you need not necessarily to destroy, you can hide them instead.

• (Pavilion dv2000 vista) How to create discs of the comand recovery console

  What is the name of the executable file and directory for the command to create the recovery partition recovery DVD?  I am unable to get to the desktop to create, and the recovery console has been unable to reformat the hard drive.  The way I see it I have only 3 choices:

  1 make the recovery partition disks, replace the disk and run recovery on the new hard drive.

  2. use linux software to copy the recovery on a "mega" flash drive partition, replace the hard drive, use linux software to copy the recovery on the new hard drive partition and run the system recovery then.

  3. pay $ 15 to have HP send me the recovery disks.

  I tried and there is no directory ' / Windows/creator "in my recovery partition.  I thought maybe the file and directory got renamed or moved to templates later (this paricular is dv2911us).  I have also sought among the various directories and have not found any executable "CD Creator.exe; This is not to say there isn't, I just have not seen in my seaching... There are a lot of directories.

  Jim, to keep you informed, the recovery disk have a period of 90 days from the date of purchase of laptop computer for his creation. However, if you try to create after the period of such, you may experience problems. The same rule applies in the case of new hard drive.

  I'm afraid that there is no console command to launch the creation of recovery disks. Even if the recovery partition seems to be fully functional, it is in the hard drive only. Executable files named 'CD creator.exe' is just an image.

  There are third party available for the recovery disc software, however, ultimately they would create problems as the hard drive failed.

  Given the current situation, we recommend that you replace the hard drive and buy the new recovery drive.

  I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

  Also I find it a bit funny that last night when I called technical support, the lady that I spoke to said the new HDD would cost 400some dollars!  I think this is the cost that it's based on the price for the operating system and other software included on the disc.  Anyway, then I asked him what it would cost to just send it and make them repair the laptop, and she said it would be $ 300some! LOL it took everything I had not to start not to laugh.  Then, when I told her thanks for the help, and that she would have answered all my questions, she tried to sell me a new laptop! I didn't say thank you and she tried once again! I want to say Holy shit! It's just a hard drive of freeking! in any case I'm glad I took the time to email them and get a response from someone who knew what they were doing.

  This is no bug. I can only imagine without detailed information about the procedure of custom clearance and approval workflow custom.

  But each attestation procedure has an assigned table that defines what data will be documented, for example UNSAccountInUNSGroup. An Identity Manager can only assign strategies of the attestation procedure where each step of the approval workflow contains an approval procedure where the picture of the Attestation procedure is in the list of assigned to this approval process approval. (See screenshot) Verify that approval in your approval workflow steps are aligned to this requirement.
