  In programs like Dreamweaver and Muse, we have a range of properties/tool to define and styles of text and stored to be reused and editable - so if you say change all the titles under the project in a different typeface, color, size etc. you can just change the settings in the css Panel (or equivalent). • How to create multiple lines of text with effects?

  New to first...

  I can create a static title without any problems and as well to animate it.  My challenge is that I don't know how the first manages text effects.  I can't understand how to do something as simple as have several bullet point text dissolve of lines on the screen in the order. I use a few "Pro-sumer" software video editing with all sorts of creative text effects.  But, I get more large projects that require more sophisticated tools, so I jumped on the first.  I watched all the videos on the web "creation of text"... impossible to find something on this topic to the Prime Minister.  Help, please!

  Meg answer is technically correct, but a lot of your time, especially if you have to re-do something later.

  When I have the multiline text that I don't want to animate with After Effects, I create text on a title, and then I copy and paste from there to place its own title of each line of text.

  Then I put all these titles on the timeline, stacked in layers, one over the other.

  From there, I can change the time where each line of text within the framework. I can use normal transitions to do this, wipe, dissolve, or push. My most recent favorite is IMPACT PUSH, which you can get for free, here: https://www.filmimpact.net/plugin/transition-pack-1/

  Indeed, After Effects is the best option by far, if you want to do anything fancy or cool.

• Warning message DM10826 gendata executing (merge area of text that can shrink/grow on image who can not grow)

  I am currently in conversion of Documaker 11.3 to 12.2 GENDATA executing, I get the following message:

  DM10826: Warning in TextMergeParagraph(): attempt to use a fusion of text box that can develop on the < JACKETPAGE > image that may not develop. Processing will continue.

  I have a text box in the section JACKECTPAGE, which has the option of resizing 'can grow and shrink"selected.  It's because I have a tag embedded in the middle of the text box. "Section of the form options" in section JACKETPAGE that contains the text box has no 'can shrink and grow"selected. If I change the JACKETPAGE 'options of the form section' to select "can shrink and develop" the warning message goes.

  Couple questions:

  (1) what are the ramifications of the selection "can shrink and grow" on the form in the section option?  I really don't want something on the shape to move.

  (2) if there are no ramifications of selecting this option on the 'section of the form options' there an easy way to find each section that has a text box that is reported as "can shrink and grow", so that I can mark proactively forms associated to eliminate these messages?

  The message is actually an old, so I'd be surprised if you get the message earlier, from 11.3 to 12.2. Unless maybe it's because you didn't use previously model Studio MRLS and you are now.

  The message indicates that a text in growing area could potentially push objects out of the limit of the section or even exceed the limit itself, assuming that you have mapped in enough data. It is simply a warning.

  If you know that your content can really develop beyond your article or if you know and wait for the result in case he does, then just ignore. Or if you know there is enough space for the content to grow within the section without overflowing the border (because you have a blank space at the bottom), then you could define the can develop on the section and prevent the message. Your choice really depends on what you prefer.

  However, if the text in full expansion box can push indeed of objects (or itself) outside the boundary with the data that you are mapping, then setting the adjustable size on the section will affect your output. When a section grows in size, allows you to adjust the position of the remaining sections on the page. If you do not allow this, you could have contained overlapping, if the text box has pushed something outside the boundary of a section.

  As for whether there is a way to globally existing sections to grow, I'm not there. The version you have now automatically tries to define the section can develop when you edit an article and add a dynamic text box. However, you can still turn off if you do not want it on. Which does not affect the existing forms or sections that you have in the library until you had to edit the sections and edit a text box.

• Value of auto fill that can be changed

  I'm pretty new to PDF forms and all things java and always have a hard time finding what I can and can't accomplish in these forms... so I thought I'd ask just the question this time...

  I want to do is have a value entered in a field (FromDept) be automatically generated in another field (ToDept), but then, I'd still like the ToDept field to be changed if the user needs to change.

  For this shape, these fields are very often the same, but sometimes they need not to be different - generally the user just pass this field if it does not evolve, but we would really rather the appearance of the complete form (although I don't want to force the completion of this field - so my question).

  I thought it would be a sort of custom Validation script but have not found something that fits my needs in the forums after a lot of research.

  Is this something that can be done with relative ease, or is it more complicated I need to get something that is just on a list "nice to have"?

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  The custom for FromDept field validation script might be as simple as:

  getField("ToDept").value = event.value;

  This will outline the value of the ToDept field every time that the value of FromDept changes.

  You can also set it so that the value of ToDept gets set only if it is empty:

  var f = getField ("ToDept");

  If (! f.valueAsString) f.value = event.value;

  In this way, an existing entry in ToDept will not be overwritten if the user comes back and changes the value of FromDept.

• I can't access the function in the panels. When I highlight text, I can't change the font, size, etc.

  I can't access the function in the panels on the right. Open the control panel but I can't click on anything.

  You set the font size of Windows at 150%. Set it to it's default of 100% or disable aero.

  If you can not get the desired effect using the scrolling credits, the Far Far Away or the titles of Ticker,

  the only way that I can think is to create a file with the text you want on a green or blue (outside of iMovie) and put it above a green or blue background element in the timeline panel.  You can then use the image in the photo installation and creation of keyframes to move the text on the background.  See http://help.apple.com/imovie/mac/10.1/#/mova1aaa682b for more details.

  Share/export this file, then import the file and place it above your video clip.  This time, use the blue/green screen so that the text appears on top of your video.  See http://help.apple.com/imovie/mac/10.1/#/mov82da1338a for more details.

  The created pdf file is certainly not an image. Nice looking for smooth fonts which is fully scalable.  Just can't believe that the text is not selectable or searchable.

  The characters associated with the field points are represented by actual fonts.

  The rest is shown characters (an image using vector graphics).

  

  Open the PDF with Acrobat Pro (any version).

  Go to the content panel.

  Lotsa - Lotsa entries 'Path '.  Almost all are these characters Graphic image.

  In short - nothing can do a 'find' or a 'research' on as it is not more not less than an 'image' - no 'real' text (a prerequisite for any search engine to 'find' or 'Search' or built a search index).

  If a problem of 'author' and not an Acrobat / Adobe Reader / software application problem.

• Submitting a form by creating multiple lines in the DB table

  I created a new Apex application and have created a table with columns - USER_ID, ADDRESS, TELEPHONE, CREATEDON etc.

  I want to read the USER_ID of the user and complete this field on the form and fill in the CREATEDON field with the date system. These two fields are hidden on the form.

  Now, when the user fills his address and phone on the form and click on send, 3 identical rows are inserted into the DB table. The values of user and date system are set correctly.

  To set the UserID field, I inserted a $APP_USER. in the default value of the form section. I am not able to understand why the Apex is to insert several lines even when you click the submit button once.

  Help, please.

  The problem is solved now. I noticed that add default values for the form fields added process duplicate. That's why the form has been processed three times. Remove the additional process solved the problem.

• Muse can be used to create a stand-alone site that can be accessed offline?

  Basically, I'm trying to create a 'a little' interactive version of a manual of customers that could be provided along the side of the digital document. However, as the question of the title asks, I want it to be autonomous. Almost like an html file that retains the functionality of an actual Web page.

  Yes, some differences between Muse as opposed to InDesign are:

  In Muse, you would have to pack all of the assets and the associated files in a folder with your web pages. It is therefore very difficult for downloadable documents for example. Or if you wanted to send someone the file you will need to zip the entire site and send it to someone and hope that power open the right file first. It would be almost impossible for readers to be able to play them on any tablets for example.

  In InDesign, you can do everything can do Muse and much much more and publish in many formats easy-to-use such as PDF, ePub, etc..

  You certainly want to explore the features of edition of InDesign for your use case, especially if you are already familiar with InDesign. Here is a link to a blog by a fellow ACP, pariah Burke, very competent in this area. The link I provided is actually a book he wrote on the subject.

  I'm designing a document for use with the data merge. One of the fields over a background apears dark. I'll make the text box white with black letters. The text data merge will engaged in this framework is highly variable - on some pages, it is only one or two characters, on the other is a long string of 3/4 ".

  Is there a way to make this framework automatically expand and contract to fit the length of the string?

  Until CS6, the answer would certainly not when you use the data merge, but there are small new features that extend the text blocks and contracts contain the content. Have not tried it myself and have not heard of someone trying with data merge, but if you have CS6, you have a gold opportuninty to try it and be a pioneer.

  (1) after start the guest operating system students could not go back to host BONE until it stop the BONE invited.

  (2) in the guest operating system, the students could not visit all the folders in the file system of the host operating system.

  I'd rather have this feature (the OS is Linux):

  (1) once the connection in the operating system (Linux) as a user, like st01, host geust OS start automaticlly.

  (2) after the BONE, disconnection of the user of the operating system host automaticlly invited shutdown.

  In this case, students could make close examination on the guest OS without any knowledge on the host operating system and also unable to read something on the host operating system.

  Yes, you can do it.

  The trick is to use a window manager alternative such as icewm to which you connect and have a session that begins vmplayer or you.

  So instead of connecting to gnome or kde, you log in vmware player (which is the only application that you start at this session.

  Create a new user. Example: vmplayer

  Next, create a file in this /home/vmplayer/.xsession home directory

  nano /home/vmplayer/.xsession
  

  Add this information in the file.

      #!/usr/bin/env bash
      /usr/bin/icewm &
      sleep 3
      exec /usr/bin/vmplayer -X /home/vmplayer/VirtualMachine/vm.vmx
  

  Now make it executable

  chmod + x .xsession

  Make sure that it is owned by vmplayer

  chown vmplayer.vmplayer /home/vmplayer/.xsession
