Creating recovery DVDs and deletion of Partition

I just finished installing all my stuff on my new SSD and my question is: once, I created my own personal recovery DVD I'll be able to use their ounce is deleted the recovery partition itself?

I deleted the recovery partition in the past because I have the factory installation discs and I simply don't have the 15 GB recovery partition.

What I noticed is that once the partition went the Recovery Manager no longer has the ability to create custom recovery DVD.

I found another similar to this thread where Cheryl gave a few options of third party software that will do the same thing as the Recovery Manager, but I would still have my first question answered.

my laptop is a 1000cto of t dv8

Thank you

If you create the recovery DVD using the HP disc creation software you can do what you want with the score after that, but who has been allowing these recovery disk software is registered, so you will not be able to use the HP recovery tools, you will need to use the disks.

the recovery disks don't care if there is a recovery on the HARD drive partition. the discs are for a Worst Case Scenario. Say a virus has infected the HARD drive, or you install a new HARD drive.

Is it possible to create a recovery disk now. Thanks already.

    Hello

Recovery DVDs can be created with the special tool only. The name is Toshiba Recovery creator. This tool is part of the Vista installation only factory settings.

So now, you can not create recovery media and there is no way to launch the installation of F8 HARD drive recovery. I do not understand why you ignored Toshiba reminder on creating recovery DVDs.
Anyway, you can order the new copy under https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

    Bye and good luck!

  • Portege R600 - cannot create recovery DVDs

Hello! I just bought Toshiba Portege R600-146 and attempted to create a DVD with the system recovery but DVD drive does not recognize DVD discs and fails the diagnostic test PC CD/DVD Toshiba. I can't even create a backup of the system.

Is it a software fault (Mat * a DVD - RAM UJ - 844 S USB Device drivers or compatibility with Windows 7) or the material, and how can this be resolved?

    Hi Dmitry_3,

Have you already checked if the CD/DVD drive is properly recognized in Device Manager or it appears with a yellow exclamation point?

In this case, it might help remove upper and lower filters:
    + 1) run Regedit (start-> Run-> Regedit).
    + 2) navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} +.
+ 3) in the right pane, delete the "UpperFilters" key and delete the key "LowerFilters". +
    + 4) reboot. +

but I don't create this DVD.

    One of my friends has a model Toshiba P300 - 1 5.
so I try to create this DVD form his computer...

    Hello

At first I want to give you advice on DVD, you must use. For a successful recovery creation DVD use DVD-R virgins. I created several media recovery on the models of different laptops, with DVD-R media always worked.

On the market there are several portable Satellite and Satellite Pro P300 and image is not the same for each of them.
    Just for info:
-Satellite P300-1GL I needed a blank media only, but
-for Satellite Pro P300-149 I needed two of them

So I think that you need one. When you start 'Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator' and choose the media you want to use it, you will be informed how many of them do you need.

    Good bye

  • Creating a DVD from HP restore Partition of hard disk

OK, let's go.  We have three computers in this House.   One is an HP 2004 775th with XP that was suggested be sent to pasture.   I agree to this.  My other computer is a HP Pavilion p6750f with Win 7 Home 2011.  Large computer and has no problem.  I want to keep this PC by business unit and buy a refurbished on ebay as a HP Compaq 8000 with Win 7 Pro 64 bit.  This should be Uncategorized at 10 for Microsoft Windows gives the OK.

The majority of these 8000 HP on ebay have the disk hard 'original' wiped and reinstalled with new Windows 7 Pro 64-bit software.   Some say that the hard drive has the "restore disk partition hard rule."

Now the big question.   With original Windows 7 Pro 64-bit clean wiped from the HD and a new install of Win. 7, I'll be able to make a DVD-restore/recovery Partition on the hard drive?

That question seems to be is "I'll be able to make my own recovery DVDs?"  As shown in This DOCUMENT?  The answer is probably not.  Unless the previous owner includes the recovery of the purchase value.  These units are most likely end the lease to a company, which means that they are erased clean from any software that may have been installed.  The inclusion of an operating system is to facilitate the resale.

  • Satellite U400-183 - need Recovery DVD and AHCI drivers

    Hello

I tried to reinstall Win Vista Home Premium to my Satellite U400-183. I used a DVD OS Win that came with my other laptop to other manufacturing and the key that came with my Toshiba laptop. Everything works beautifully, but in some areas of Windows is still some specific parameters of the manufacturing on the other. Now is it possible to get a DVD of Windows Vista Toshiba?

Another question is where can I get the AHCI drivers. There is only an exe file on the support site which I can't use during the installation of Windows. There must be some these .sys files, but I can't find them on the Toshiba site, so I had to install Windows in compatibility mode.

    Thanks in advance!

PS: Sorry for my bad English, I'm from the Germany...

    Hello!

A new recovery DVDs, you can get your local ASP (authorized service provider).
Or you order a DVD from Toshiba directly:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

The AHCI drivers or let say Intel Storage Manager, you can download from the Toshiba site as you have already said.
The .exe file, you must check out to use during the installation, but with the recovery disk you n t need them.
Please read the readme file in the Storage Manager, there is an example how to extract it. Use the command line what it
    For example: - a - a - PC:------.

  • make a simple bootstrap system and delete the partition

I had a window of crash - like (although I don't know the condition) and I went to the computer-fixing shop and tell them to fix my machine... then they finished and when I got home got hard drive partition and I have multi-boot system... I want to delete the partition and format the primary partition has if little volume... can someone help me what I can do because I tried to format it, but all came to the error... Please help me

Remove accidental installation of a 2nd copy of Win7

Uninstall Windows 7 on a multiboot system (applies to remove 2nd install Windows 7 as well)
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/uninstall-Windows-7-on-a-multiboot-system

To remove the Windows 7 multiboot screen

Even if you delete or format the partition containing Windows 7, it can still appear as an operating system option when you start your computer. You can remove Windows 7 from the multiboot screen.

    1. open System Configuration by clicking on the button start the picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking system and security, clicking Administrative Tools, and then double-click the System Configuration. ? Need administrator permission if you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    2. click on the Startup tab and then click on the list? Windows 7.? (That you removed)

    3. click on remove, set the time of '0', click on 'Apply' and 'OK' and then click on restart.

Start-up of the first copy of Windows 7 (normally the the second entry in the start menu).

    Install EasyBCD:
    http://NeoSmart.NET/DL.php?id=1

Make sure you use indeed the 1st copy that you have installed. Open "Disk management", the partition that you started now will be marked as Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, primary Partition of Windows 7). The other (second copy) will be marked only as "Primary Partition".

Now using disk management to format the partition where the second copy is installed.

Run EasyBCD and remove the entry for the second copy.

  • Portege M500 - how to create recovery DVDs?

    Hi there :)

I bought Toshiba Portege M500. Anyone know how to create a CD/DVD of recovery on this model?

I installed the "recovery CD creator" but - I just can't create it. The only thing that came on the screen is: Qosmio Player recovery CD.

On the help page - there are instructions to create the disk - but the options were not available to me. (i.e. the system recovery disc option)

Help, please! I would really appreciate it!

    Sophie

    Hello

Portege M500 was equipped with HARD drive recovery option?
Did you find the information you need to create a recovery disk in the user's manual?

Where did you find the "Toshiba recovery CD creator"?
    This tool has been pre-installed?

I guess that there is no image on the HARD drive files that are needed to create the recovery disk Toshiba and so you can't create it.

  • Access the recovery disk and deleting files

I am running Vista Home Premium SP2 on a HP G50 laptop.  Recently, I ran a backup of my system and wanted to place on an external drive which was under XP.  The system wouldn't let me, so I put it on the recovery partition drive.  This filled the disk and slowed my computer down a lot.  I want to remove the backup files but can not access the recovery disc.  How to access this disk to remove the backup files?  In addition, remove the recovery files?  I made the recovery disc.
