Creating a DVD from HP restore Partition of hard disk

OK, let's go.  We have three computers in this House.   One is an HP 2004 775th with XP that was suggested be sent to pasture.   I agree to this.  My other computer is a HP Pavilion p6750f with Win 7 Home 2011.  Large computer and has no problem.  I want to keep this PC by business unit and buy a refurbished on ebay as a HP Compaq 8000 with Win 7 Pro 64 bit.  This should be Uncategorized at 10 for Microsoft Windows gives the OK.

The majority of these 8000 HP on ebay have the disk hard 'original' wiped and reinstalled with new Windows 7 Pro 64-bit software.   Some say that the hard drive has the "restore disk partition hard rule."

Now the big question.   With original Windows 7 Pro 64-bit clean wiped from the HD and a new install of Win. 7, I'll be able to make a DVD-restore/recovery Partition on the hard drive?

That question seems to be is "I'll be able to make my own recovery DVDs?"  As shown in This DOCUMENT?  The answer is probably not.  Unless the previous owner includes the recovery of the purchase value.  These units are most likely end the lease to a company, which means that they are erased clean from any software that may have been installed.  The inclusion of an operating system is to facilitate the resale.

No, you cannot create profile on something other than the system drive. You cannot move the entire profile, but you can move directories in sketch.

  • Running from a Bootcamp Partition vs virtual disk

Is there an advantage to run Windows 7 from a vs Bootcamp partition a virtual disk image?

I started to use a virtual disk image and just created a Bootcamp partition and added to the merger.  Things seem to be quite a bit faster using the Bootcamp partition.

Is this the case in general?  Just curious to know what others have experienced.

    Thank you!!

It is normal that you feel.  Realize that a VM is running "virtual hardware", which is generally not as fast that runs the operating system directly on the physical hardware.  Think of it as speaking through a translator.  There is a 'delay' for the message to be delivered. Take a look at the frequently asked Questions on VMware Fusion, about halfway down, the section on virtual hardware.

For Boot Camp however virtual, take a glance to choose the settings of VM right.  Among the main reasons to use one or the other would be the advantage of the speed of Boot Camp against the convinience of not having to restart the Mac or the ability to run several machines against virtual simultaneously only running an instance of Boot Camp.  (e.g.: simulate an entire network, with the file server, web server, mail server, etc., with just one physical machine.)

  • Partition of hard disk on Tecra 8100

I changed the 12 GB of HARD drive with a 40 GB HARD drive. But I couldn't partition this time. The last time with the help of this forum I had partitioned the 12 GB for use with Win 98 and XP. I think you forgot the procedure to partition the HARD drive. I think it's during the initial data recovery CD installation when asked me to creat partition (if any). This time, I don't see such a request. Please help because without XP a lot of my devices work... no drivers.

You want the free version of House.

HP machines already have the maximum of FOUR partitions on the disk.

    1. System reserved
    2. C
    3. HP tools
    4. Recovery partition

If you want to make room for backups and save them, you should do this to an external hard drive.

  • my daughter received a comp. from a friend that the hard disk has been deleted how to get windows xp back on it

I downloaded windows xp from mirowsoft up to 6 discs of A which I just it ready for the cd of window xp I don't have.

    Hi cjoyner66,

Thanks for posting. I'm confused on 6 discs A you're talking about. Windows XP can not hold on 6 floppy disks if that's what you are referring. If the hard disk has been deleted, you will need to use your Windows XP disk and reinstall Windows using this disk and the key associated with this record. If you don't have XP media, you must contact the OEM of your computer or buy an extra copy of the XP.

    I hope this helps!

  • Creating recovery DVDs and deletion of Partition

I just finished installing all my stuff on my new SSD and my question is: once, I created my own personal recovery DVD I'll be able to use their ounce is deleted the recovery partition itself?

I deleted the recovery partition in the past because I have the factory installation discs and I simply don't have the 15 GB recovery partition.

What I noticed is that once the partition went the Recovery Manager no longer has the ability to create custom recovery DVD.

I found another similar to this thread where Cheryl gave a few options of third party software that will do the same thing as the Recovery Manager, but I would still have my first question answered.

    my laptop is a 1000cto of t dv8

    Thank you

If you create the recovery DVD using the HP disc creation software you can do what you want with the score after that, but who has been allowing these recovery disk software is registered, so you will not be able to use the HP recovery tools, you will need to use the disks.

the recovery disks don't care if there is a recovery on the HARD drive partition. the discs are for a Worst Case Scenario. Say a virus has infected the HARD drive, or you install a new HARD drive.

  • Messed up partitions and hard disks into recovery mode!

I got the bootmrg is missing an error code.  So then I had to download a http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ vista recovery disk and I then placed this .iso file on my usb drive using http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/.  Here I probably should have simply chosen to restore my system from recovery mode, but I decided to mess around with the partitions.  Now, I don't know what I did to my readers and partitions.  Help, please!

    Hello

This "Recovery" disc Neosmart is not a recovery disk to put anything back to the factory settings.

He fact that Startup Repair, restore the system to an earlier date, etc.; It's not not to reinstall Vista.

"but I decided to mess around with the partitions.  Now, I don't know what I did to my readers and partitions.  Please help! »

And we have no idea what you did to your partitions either.

I suggest you reinstall Vista; choice regardless of the method, you can go to the methods provided here.

    Different ways to reinstall Vista:

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer (if you have not destroyed it).

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the right sequence of button...

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

    See you soon.

  • Partition of hard disk for Equium L350 - 10L

    Hello

I am a new owner of a L350 - 10L. Loading the files from the laptop, I was told that I had run out of space. Investigate a bit more it seems I drive hard havea partitioned. I think that I expect that the "valorisation" of files are stored on the hard drive. But the size of the partition seems a little odd to me. The disc has a pertition to Vista and a called E:\Data being 54.5 GB in size.

Question - can I safely reformat the hard drive? Should I run the Setup again. This seems a bit odd. Is there a reason for the size of partition?

    Kind regards
    Paul

    Hello
I have the same laptop. Download GParted LiveCD and boot inside. Then resize partition D:\ lower then resize the partition above C:\ with unallocated space. Is not wipe your data.

  • Activate Windows 8.1 clear partitions of hard disk other than Windows?

    Hi all

I just had my motherboard replaced because the earlier failed. Now I need to activate Windows 8.1 with a different product key (the one given to me by the Dell technician).

My concern is that I double Windows and Ubuntu 8.1 boot, so I have a Ubuntu partition and a Windows partition. If I activate Windows, will be that rag on my Ubuntu partition? Really want to be wiped out because of all the customizations of the research that I do...

    Thank you

    Hello

Thanks for writing on the Dell Community Forum.

The answer to that would be 'no '. Windows 8.1 activation would not effect the Ubuntu partition. The partitions will be done if you are doing a new installation of Windows.

However, it is always recommended to have a return to the top of your data before you try anything related to partitions.

  • cd/dvd missing after the replacement of hard disk and windows drive

I have a laptop Lenovo I had to replace a hard drive, and Windows 7.  I've been able to do and got going, or so I thought.  I went to use the cd/dvd drive and nothing.  Looking at the Panel control does not show a d: / at all.  Device Manager shows a drive. (I think)  He said same drive works fine on the Properties screen.

Any ideas on how to get it working or back?  Or should I go to ebay and get an external hard drive?

Thank you, in advance, for any help.

    Hello

To isolate your concern about the CD/DVD player, is there an error message you get? Have you tried other CD or DVD?

We also try to make the troubleshooting steps below on how to use the hardware and peripheral troubleshooting tool:

    1. Press the logo Windows + R to open the run dialog box.
    2. Control type in the run dialog box, and then press ENTER.
    3. In the Search box in Control Panel, type troubleshooting and then click Troubleshooting.
    4. Under the material and audio item, click Configure a device. If you are prompted to enter a password or provide confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  • Excerpt from PSD file located on hard disk

As I am not allowed to place the working documents, including the PSD file online, I can't use cloud creative for my PSD files, as our work files must stay inside our firewall, until the release will be.

I so use the Extract function without the creative cloud - I mean I just open a file, that should be possible right?

By Adobe, they must be in CC storage space to use the Extract function. There is no way to use the excerpt without it now.

How can I retrieve a file psd of my hard drives?
