Creating slide show, zoom/pan

I work with still images in a slide show. An effect that I saw in the videos is where the slide zooms and pans for the duration of the time that it is displayed. This is in addition to a transition. I am able to do this with the show in another program. They called for this purpose a "variation". Is it possible to apply this change as an effect in Premiere Elements?

Pan/zoom effect is also called a trajectory or the Ken Burns effect. I'll show you how, step by step, in both my base Premiere Elements books and in my book "Cool tips tricks & hot' to Premiere Elements.

There are a number of ways to do--but most effective is called motion path keyframing. I have a few free items on the creation of these trajectories to the first Elements Muvipix.com support site.

See the PDF file, called "basic Keyframing. It will show you the principles.

    Hello

I am trying to improve the quality of the slideshow presented on this site: www.archscapecg.com. My knowledge of flash is quite limited. I know how to create the slide show, I'm not sure know how to optimize the quality and keep the file small. The original was created as a .wmv and then converted to .flv. I heard that create the slideshow in flash using vector images is the way to get the best quality. So, my questions are:

    1. How can I convert a JPEG to a vector image? I can do this in photoshop?

    2. how to convert the .swf file to .flv without quality loss?

It's the approach I've heard is the best, even if it's just someone told me. If there is a better way, please point out where I'm wrong.

    Thanks for the replies!

No, a vector file must be created using vector drawing tools/software.  Vector shapes are mainly of simple forms, either in terms of shape or color.

What you might be able to do to improve the quality must first, make sure that the images are sized for the application and you do not drastically reduce in Flash itself.  Change the dimensions of the file outside Flash and then import them.  The next thing that could help is to enable smoothing for images.  This is a right the images in the library, select properties and then check the option to allow smoothing.

  • Creating a slide show: issues and challenges

    Greetings first users-

I am completely new to the use of first. I have been using iMovie to create slide shows, but I'm completely frustrated by the workings of the program.

I have my images and audio in the containers and now start to connect the pieces, but run into some problems.

    1. I do not understand how to configure the number of blades to the length of the audio. After opening the preferences panel and select 'Général', it appears that I need to enter a value with respect to the "video Transition default duration of"30 Frames". and the always default Image "150 executives' what I do not understand is if I 397 seconds of 129 stills and audio and I want their space in the whole of the audio, which values should I use?

    2. my current project has 129 images that currently spreads beyond my video. I selected images, chose "Hours of speed" and entered at 03:00 that would put my pictures in the audio. The problem is that the first images of so many people have a space between them rather than being contiguous as the second half of them. I chose the 'ripple' as I read must be checked.

    3. this slide show will be seen on a projector, is there a recommended size that I should create in, for example, 800 x 600, etc...?

Thank you and sorry to overload all these questions at once.

    Doug

    Hey Doug,.

1.), I suppose that you change on a sequence of 30 frames per second.  If you have 397 seconds of audio, which is worth of the 397 x 30 fps = 11 910 audio frames.  Then, take 11 910 and divide by 129 (photos) = 92 images by image.  If in Premiere Pro preferences, change the number of the frame to 92 frames.  Remember, this will not affect that future images you import or create first, once this change has been made.  Then you need to remove your photos from the project bin and re - importing calendar change is taken into account.

(2.) by selecting ripple editing, moving leak clips button, this should take care of your problem.  Were the images at different times, or were all the same.

3.) on the resolution of your projects, you need to know if you want this project to be an image standard (4:3) or widescreen (16:9).  Personally, I would stick with big screen since this is so, 99.9% of video productions are nowadays. If this is what you want, I would create a 720 p project.  It is 1280 x 720 and reproduce well on your projector 800 x 600.  You will obviously the effect of the mailbox, the black bars at the top and bottom of your screen.  If you would fill rather the projection screen, you can create a custom project and manually enter in your resolution of 800 x 600 (this will only work that is that you will playback the video file of a computer and not a DVD-video, as you know, res DVD is locked to 720 x 480 (NTFS).)  You can configure the custom Res when you create a new sequence.  Or to keep things a little more simple, just create a DV 720 x 480 4:3 project.

    I hope this helps.

  • slide show in teaching elements

    Dear friends,

I have students on platforms Windows and Mac using Photoshop Elements.  I'm using Elements 8 on a Mac. When I tried to use the "Create" tab and select "slide show", that nothing comes.  I can click on the other options to create but not on the slide show.

Is there a problem that will not allow to teach a course on Windows or Mac to do slideshows in elements?

    Thank you.

  • How can I create a slide show in Photoshop elements 14?

I have upgraded from Photoshop Elements 4 but just upgraded from PSE 12 to 14 of the PSE.

I need to create a slide show like I did in PSE 12 where you can select photos, then add the timekeeping, pan and zoom, music, calendar, etc.

    Help!

There are some other threads on this topic.  In version 13 and 14 a different slideshow feature is now available.  It does not have the kind of customization that we had in the 12 versions and earlier versions.  When I get the version 14, I'll keep 12 on my computer for exactly this reason.

This is not a full tutorial, but should be enough to help you started...

First be sure that the photo is less than 7200 x 7200 pixels pixels.

Import a panoramic photo in Photo Story 3 and move on
the screen "tell your photos and customize the animation."
(do not remove the black borders)

On the left, click Custom animation...

Check the box on the screen to customize the animation...... "specify
Start and end Position of the movement "." Resize and reposition the
Start management Position and final Position you prefer and
on the left, click the Preview button to see the result.

Also you can import multiple instances of a photo and
Pan from point A to point B in the first instance,... then point B
point c on the second instance and so on.

When the effects of movement are completed you can add music if
you want and go to the screen "Save Your Story."

You can left click on the 'Settings' button for several choices of
resolution... the profile of 1024 x 768 is perhaps a good choice.

Also... Choose a backup location and a name for your video.

To save the project as a. WMV video file... click Next
    last time.

Then you can import that video as well as other photos and
video clips in DVD Maker to create your DVD. If you have
problems with the video clips you may need to convert to MP4
paste them into WMV format before importing in creation of DVD.

I have a large collection of big slideshows in iPhoto, created over the years with captions from the titles of the photos. How can I keep these slide shows subtitled in Photos?

You can't keep slideshows as captioned photos.  Slide shows get migrated in the form of albums for the Group of photos is maintained.  But Photos don't have the ability to add descriptions to the slide show so that they would have to be manually added to each slide automatically.

However, a possible solution would be to export every slide show in iPhoto as a Quicktime movie file. Which will keep the titles and descriptions on each slide.  The resulting QT files can be imported into the iPhoto library before migration or photo library after.

While creating a slide show with pictures, can you assign music to a specific set of photos? I would use 5 different pieces of music for every 5 parts of my slide show.

No, you can't.  One solution is to create 5 different slideshows and export them to the office where you can bring together them in a single quicktime movie file and use it.

If you have a copy of iMovie 6 HD, it can be hacked to work with El Capitan. With it you can assign exactly music groups of slides in the slide show:
