Creation of not recognizing my avi files

I have a bunch of avi files that I made a few years ago.  I don't remember what codecs were used exactly.  Now I need to reuse these files and make some changes to their but first not recognized for some reason any.  CS6 any audio but not video and CC will not import at all.  Reading the fine video on the desktop, but will not work with the first.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might be able to get this working?  Maybe recommend a program I can download to convert?  I have the creative cloud everything so there might even be another adobe program that could help me with that I'm not aware of.

Thank you

Well, I managed to find a video converter that seems to do the trick.

  • LabVIEW Vision will not create large AVI file

    Good afternoon

I'm having a problem with my camera data storage in an AVI file for further processing.

    Installation of equipment:

Camera of the Grey Gazelle edge

    2 cables of camera Link

    Card PCIe-1433

    Software:

    LabVIEW 2013

    Module vision 2013

    Computer:

    Dell Inspiron

    Windows 7 Professional

    NTFS drive - 1 TB

    16 GB OF RAM

X 4 PCIe bus does support speed

Now the camera captures approximately 280 fps.

I have a LabVIEW application that captures the image and writes it to an AVI file.

I use 1 buffer IMAQ and the loop runs so fast that he has an image to store.

I found the best performance using the codec uncompressed Y800 gray.

First series of tests, with only 8 GB of RAM.

When I run 10 seconds, everything is good.  I get about 2800 stored images.

When I tried to run for 20 seconds, it would go well for about 12 or 13 seconds and then go very slowly (50 images per second).

I assumed it was eating to the top of the available RAM.

So, I replaced the 8 GB of RAM with 16 GB.

Everything seemed to work as before.

I ran the routine of capture of data for 10 seconds, he collected all the images, everything is good.

I then tried to run entering data for 20 seconds.

It seemed to work very well, the image is displayed on the screen, the gauge of speed indicated that he was turning to about 280 fps.

When I open the AVI file, he had only 3846 stored images, about 13.7 seconds.

I ran once again, the capture of data for 30 seconds.

It seemed to work very well, the image was correctly displayed on the screen, gauge speed indicated that he was turning to about 280 fps.

When I open the AVI file, he had only 3846 stored images.

When I checked the hard drive directory, these two test files are the same size.

    2 065 819 KO.

With the NTFS file system, there should not be a limit to the size.

And the LabVIEW does not plant when she was doing writing to AVI function.

Y at - it a maximum size for the AVI file, I run in to?

    Or something else?

    Thank you

  • Windows Media Player for Vista, does not play my avi files and says he has a codec error?

Came across this problem trying to put an AVI in powerpoint presentation for the school. I don't know how this happened or how to fix the error. The error indicates that windows media player is not the right codec to play the video. However, when I sent it myself and opend it upwards on another computer, which doesn't have powerpoint, it plays very well.

I did some research as to what a codec for windows media player, that's what code and decodes the video compression. However, when I tried to download the appropriate codec file, there is nothing. Not even useful workaround solutions.

In addition, went and downloaded quicktime and it could not read the video either.

Any help or ideas would be greatly apreciated. Thank you!

    Hi DaisyReaper,

Are you able to play .avi files?

You can use your favorite search engine to download and install the latest codec for Windows Media Player. Subsequently, check if you are able to read .avi files.

Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Windows Media Player (v.11) will not play my avi files!

This just started recently... today I imported my son videos on my computer and they are simple AVI files that I don't know if easily and easily play on WMP without problem, and they always until I just tried... I try to open the video and at the bottom, he says its "acquired codeq', but then the error message:"a codec is needed to play this file. To determine if this codec is available to download, click on help on the Web"... then I do. Then he said something like "module10: Opera" or something... I guess that means Opera, the browser, that I downloaded in desperation, since longer works also none of my browsers except IE 64-bit... (any other problem in itself!) but I've removed opera once I realized that it was just like the other browsers: non-working on my computer! So I don't know what's happening on here all of a sudden but its boring and I don't know how to fix it. I tried Quicktime and it opens very well but it is a black screen-no sound or picture. What is going on?! I used DriverCure reallocate what types of files are partners/open with this program, but that did not help. What can I do to view today's simple avi files? :(

Try google for a FREE video converter.
Use it to convert the format of your video to WMV format.
Now try to play in WMP. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

  • a VMDK file is not recognized as vmdk file in esxi

For some reason strange esxi is not recognizing my vmdk format vmdk file. He sees it only as a normal file. And when I try to turn on the virtual machine, I get an error indicating that the vmdk file is not a valid file.

It seems that you (or someone else) changed the header vmdk file manually. Otherwise it would not exist a file 'vmdk.old '.

Go to the command line (on the console or ssh) and check that the content of the header vmdk file is correct. If you need help, please send the header as well as the file ".old" file to see what has changed.

  • Windows Live Movie Maker is not recognizing my video files

  • DW8 is not recognizing some JPEG files

Here's another weird problem that has popped up. When I try to insert images into a Web page, I can insert gifs very well, but regarding JPEG files, sometimes I can insert them, and sometimes I can't. I can say that there is a problem when I first try to insert a picture... I can get previews of most of the JPEG images, but those that I have created or modified with Photoshop and made "save under" a jpeg file, I can not even a glimpse. If I spend with the insert, in design mode, it inserts just a black box and grey and the Preview gives me the red x. - does anyone know what is happening?

These JPGs are saved in RGB or CMYK? If the latter, then
    That's the problem.

  • VMDK file not recognized as a virtual disk

    Hi all

I have 2 files VMDK of an old virtual machine that I deleted. I kept only the virtual disks. Now, I created a new virtual machine and tried to add the 2 virtual drives, but they are not recognized as a file vmdk as a 'file' (see screenshot)

Is it possible to add the 2 virtual drives to the TEWEB02 machine?

    Thx a lot!

Here's a post of Continuum Re: need to recreate a descriptor from scratch, but still have the *-flat.vmdk?  This is a link to a very nice tool, he wrote for this task very

  • How to open or convert the .avi file on old mac running OS.10.6.8?

How to open or convert the .avi file on the old mac running OS.10.6.8.  We tried downloading several conversion programs as well as programs that run .avi, but everyone's message could not be opened on the mac or require a fee.  Anyone able to fix it.  We have great audio video file we need to convert.

Try to use MPEG Streamclip; You can be told to install Perian or another component, or who does not open the AVI file. AVI is a container, not a format; no single component or codec will open all reviews, and some cannot be played or converted in Mac OS X.

    • Installed new Creative Suite Design Standard from this link: Download CS5.5 products
      • Computer does not recognize the .dmg file (says it does not recognize disk image)
    • Installed Illustrator separately and does not recognize my serial number

I suppose that my serial number is only for the Creative Suite Design Standard and I can't use it on individual programs, but why my computer is not recognizing the disk file? I have enough storage on my computer for it. What should I do?

That was the message I had originally (before I just uninstalled).

I even tried to download a trial version of Illustrator CS6 because I have a project due and which hangs before opening. There must be a way to get my dos programs, especially since I paid for them in the first place.

You probably have a download incomplete/corrupted.  Retry and check that the file size is correct.
