  • Method used by Windows Media Player error correction

    Hello.

Could someone tell me - in technical terms - that the option "use error correction" in Windows Media Player makes when copying audio CD tracks?

I would like to make possible more precise PMR using WMP, but the lack of information about the method used by WMP special error correction makes it difficult know when or even if you need to select the option.

For example, I wonder if the use of error correction could result in a less accurate RIP (for example, if the method used favors estimate on rereads multiples of a CD damaged surface.) Also, for example, assuming that the error correction is always beneficial, I wonder if it is always worth the burden of extra time (for example, tearing a new CD with no surface damage.)

I am aware that the audio CD support a system of "forward error correction", that is to correct errors code being inserted in the music of the data from the drive. What is the allusion makes WMP error correction? (If Yes, then why don't I have hear occasional noise and click in the .wma file generated when "use error correction" is unchecked?)

A technical response would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello

  • Can we get all the contacts that are in the Blackberry phone using the PIM functionality that is, JSR 75?

    Hello guys,.

I need to develop an application that should support devices such as the Bold 9700 and Pearl, Storm, Blackberry Curve 8900. If I go for j2me / MIDP, what will be the limits that I face in blackberry? Is it recommended to go for j2me or device-specific development of RIM.

Can we get all contacts into the Blackberry phone using PIM JSR 75 i.e and other native features features if developing an application in j2me for blackberry. I guess that the user interface will be completely different, but we support all the controls that supports the JDE?

Is someone can you please tell me if I can get access to all contacts present in the Blackberry phone using 'javax.microedition.pim' API - that is not specific to the RIM. Has anyone tried this one virtually on the phone or emulator?

Y at - it something like a website where I can test my application on Blackberry devices as in the Nokia Forum Sites?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Raki

    JSR75 is supported

However, there are some extensions specific "Blackberry" for the base PIM classes. These add a few extension Blackberry PIM data. I think that you can only use the JSR 75 classes as long as you don't need BB extensions.

For the test, the development environment provides the device simulators.

  • How to navigate through the file to the blackberry playbook using Tablet blackberry OS for Adobe Air SDK

    Hi all

How to navigate through the file to the blackberry playbook using Tablet blackberry OS for Adobe Air SDK.

And also I want to download this file on the server.

Help me by providing examples of coding.

    Thanks in advance.

    With respect,

    Sébille C

Here are some tips to help you get started.  It all depends on the terms that you use for your search.  For the first, I would use "adobe air browse file."  For the second, I start with only a variation as "adobe air download file" and then adjust according to the first results.

  • What hearing method uses to determine the overal frequency?

    Hello

No one knows which method uses Audition to determine the "global frequency" in the section "analysis of frequency? I need to know how is it calculated?

    Thank you very much!

    stephaniec9433324 wrote:

Thank you for this! So am I right in thinking "global frequency" is that point which contains the largest amount of energy in a sound sample given frequency?

I don't know why it's called "global" frequency - seems a little strange to me, although you could call it although it is a bit of a mouthful, I'm not sure. But, strictly speaking, what is the frequency of the amplitude higher at this moment on the screen. It isn't really a sign you measure; It's a single FFT 'slice', which raises even more questions, as the sector size determines the resolution and therefore the accuracy of the result in any case.

  • What connection method used by SQLs embedded in C/C++?

    Hello.

I've seen a lot of information on Pro * C and embedded SQL in C/C++ applications instructions.
But have not found any information - which method of connection it use?

Actually Pro * C replacement integrated SQL statements with all Oracle API calls.
Usually there are generated using "struct sqlexd" API calls sqlcxt() function and structure.
But which method of connection used by this approach?
You know - Java using JDBC, some programs use OIC but this is something different, so my question is that what the 'official name' of the connection method used by the Oracle API based on the sqlcxt() function?

Would also be good to know - where sqlctx() function is declared, defined? Which include, which library file?

    Kind regards
    Dmitry.

It's called SQLLIB according to 11.2 http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e16508/cncptdev.htm#BABDJCFJ Concepts Guide

  • Invoke Blackberry Maps using the location document

    example:

    but my problem is
    1. how the development of the cards to my location (the first location)
    2. how to make the maps zoom? I use lbs document as above, but there is no zoom at all in blackberry maps...

    Any solution?
    Thanx

Visit this link for more details on the books and the location tags.

    http://docs.BlackBerry.com/en/developers/deliverables/17954/Invoking_BB_Maps_using_a_location_docume...

But to my knowledge, I Don t think centeralized zoom is not possible in this method of calling cards.

There are many ways by which you can invoke the card / use mapField in your application. You must choose the right pair that meets your needs.

On my Z10: software version - 10.2.1.2977 10.2.1.3247 OS Version now impossible to access a 64 GB SD card via wifi, but a 32GB works fine.

The card format fat32 above up to what this last updated... now it formats such as exFat.  I don't know if this change is linked, but this is when the problem started to occur.

Does anyone else have this problem?

If I put a 32 GB card in and the format, I can access the media and the removable_sdcard without problem.  Put 64 GB in and format it, still doesn't work.

If I have to I'll just go to the smallest card, this is the only method that I am able to transfer files with the encrypted card. (I guess I could transfer to the media, then move the phone to sd however)

    Thank you.

    rat - 7 says:

If you want Windows to be able to access the card using USB (mass storage not) or WIFI, card formatted in FAT32 and exfat should not.

For some reason, Windows does not accept a network drive which is formatted exfat

OK, well as long as the samba host can access the file system to be shared, it should work.  I use openbsd this is why I am stuck with WiFi for an encrypted sdcard.

In general, I always format a card in the camera it uses, but I tried to format the card of 64 GB as fat32L on my computer and put back them in the phone manually.  It works fine for me now, I'll leave this way.

    Thank you<-->

I used to do the same thing, just format it in the camera, but since the 10.2.1.3247 updated, it does not have to use either WIFI or USB access (not mass storage).

I'm just glad you can now go and enjoy the divce as you used to

  • KeyDown method uses no reduced keyboard

I use the keydown method to check the user input. It works on all devices but the 8100 and the storm (with reduced keyboard).
the problem is that, with the multitap enabled, the key is added to the editfield by the end of the audit in keydown.

I run this verification (among others) in the keydown method:
    "".equals (callEditField.getText ().

It returns true on all devices tested with a normal keyboard and reduced the false on devices with keyboard.
the debugger indicates that indeed the editfield rush tank and has a length of 1 on these devices.

is there a difference how major events are managed on a keyboard reduced?

Yes, these events are handled differently because of the characteristic full auto on the keyboards of course Type.  Please see the following post: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=java_dev&message.id=10358&query.id=24...
