  • problem with Internet connection sharing, error: connection ad - hoc has "no internet access" on the cell phone of the customer

Original title: problem with Internet connection sharing

my laptop running on Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 (this one has access to the internet by using the dial-up modem and will to act as a sharer of internet connection or as a host) and the client computer runs on Windows 7 Starter

in a first step, I try internet connection sharing, I've set up an ad hoc network and I just changed my setting modem dial-up on the sharing tab, of course what I change, it of 'Allow an other network users to connect through this computer internet connection' and choose the on Home Networking connection wireless network connection , then my mobile client to connect to a special that I created and portable client connected to the internet via ICS
then the problem came when I restart my laptop. When I tried to use ICS once again, my customer laptop really takes a long time to connect, he continues saying 'identification' side host and client. and after that "identify" is complete, it says ad - hoc connection, I create has "no network".
so, I'm a person answer in this forum
' Obtain an IP address automatically is the wrong setting on the Ethernet connection. "  To return to the sharing tab and unshare the wireless connection.  Close all windows network, and then open them and re - share the wireless connection.  Who must configure IPv4 for the Ethernet connection properties for:

    IP address: 192.168.0.1
    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    Default gateway: no
    "DNS server: none.

I put this on my laptop of the host, and and I put the IP address on my laptop customer in 192.168.0.2 with the same default gateway as my portable computer host IP
and made some progress in this case, when I try to connect host and the client is no longer to 'identify' phase, immediately connected laptop both but my mobile client can not connect to the internet and displays "No Internet access" on the ad hoc network, I have create

I tried a lot of things but always completed my mobile client can not connect to the internet and displays the message "no Internet access.

What makes me confuse is first, I try to share the internet connection everything works like a charm, I set up an ad hoc network, and then change the setting on my modem dial-up so he can share the internet connection, and voila, computer laptop client connected to the internet. I change even not all IP settings
But why after I restart my PC, this problem comes...
someone knows how to help me with this problem?

  • Problems of internet connectivity with Dell Inspiron 7520 (1703 of Dell Wireless 802.11b/g/n 2.4 ghz)

    Hello

I bought a Dell Inspiron 7520 for a week now, and I had a strange problem with internet connectivity since then. First, wifi takes a lot of time to connect. After, I'm online, every 10 minutes my network access stops working completely. But if I click on the network icon in the toolbar, it starts working again, but it stops in the next 10 minutes, once again, and so on. If I try to fix connectivity problems, he always find and solve some in the network card or wireless, but then point again, after 10 minutes, or so, it happens again.

My network card is a Wireless Dell 1703 802.11b/g/n 2.4 ghz and I tried to update and to re - download the firmware, but nothing seems to fix.

What should I do to fix this?

Hello friends. Recently I came across the same problem identified by many with a Dell Inspiron 15R laptop 7520 with the Dell Wireless 1703 (Atheros chipset). After losing an entire afternoon and looking at forums and their complaints, I think that I found the solution to the problem (at least, here is running).

The laptop is connected to a router TP-Link TL-WR740N. The router is configured to run with a frequency of 20 or 40 MHz, making the switch automatically in the factory. The mobile card wireless driver is configured to work only with 20 MHz at the factory. But can be configured to work with two frequencies is adapted automatically. To do this, change the configuration (in Windows 7):

Start > Control Panel > Device Manager > network adapters > Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2,4 GHz) > click the Advanced tab > select 802.11n bandwidth. Change the value of Auto 20 MHz / 40 MHz.

Press OK and wait for to reconnect you.

    I hope this helps.

  • Problems of Internet connectivity after an upgrade to Windows 7

At home I have 2 computers Presario laptops connected to the internet via a modem wireless router / the two using Vista Home Premium (32 bit) OS. Last week I upgraded to one of them to Windows 7 (32 bit) and since then, I had Internet connectivity problems. The other laptop, always on Vista, continues to work with no problems and so I excluded the modem/router wireless as the source of the problem.

The problem is that when all programs that access the Internet, for example Internet explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Outlook and MS Instant messenger, lose the connection to the internet after a few minutes. I disconnect them the laptop to the wireless network and reconnect again manually, then works again for a few minutes and the problem repeats.  An interesting observation is that I use SKYPE (VOIP program) and it is Basel to connect to the internet and maintains the connection without problem.

I suspect that the problem may be the driver for the hardware wireless (apparently made by Atheros communications) installed on the laptop, but I can't find more information on the subject.

Any help on this problem will be greatly appreciated.

    {Information}

    Hi Tony,.

    It is certainly possible.

Some people have managed to install this driver Atheros for Windows 7.  It is on the following link.  Save it to your desktop.

    Atheros Driver - Win 7

The driver is in a zip file.  If you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip.  Right-click on the downloaded zip file, select Extract 7 - Zip, select the files, and then click Ok.  Open the newly extracted folder, right-click on the Setup program and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  If it installs successfully, restart the computer and see if there is an improvement in connectivity.

  • Sudden problem with internet connection

I run Windows 7 on VM Ware Fusion 6.0.6 on an iMac 2, 66 GHz Intel Core 2 duo with OSX 10.9.5.

Until 2 days ago, everything worked well with my Windows apps and the Internet connection.

When I now try to use Internet explorer, Safari or any other application using internet I get the message "computer not connected to a network.

To aid in the troubleshooting of Windows I get the message "network cable is not plugged in correctly or may be broken.

I reconnected the cable on both sides - computer and router - without result. But it is of course not the source of the problem since the side my computer Apple clearly shows that I have an Ethernet connection and I have no problem to surf, mail or by using any other application via Internet.

Can someone tell me how to restore my Internet on the side of Windows 7?

    Thanks for your help

Try to reset the router and the modem, if you have other devices that work always reset the router and the modem. Then if the problem persists, run Use Mail connection doctor - Apple Support by fashion that apple provides.

  • Problems of Internet connection with a Satellite Pro A120

Hi, I do not know if someone can help me, but I thought that it was worth a try, because I'm desperate.

Basically, I can't here online with my computer.

I am currently away from home, back to my parent's House. I usually am on AOL dialup, they are on the same but with broadband, and until last night, I managed to use their connection high speed without any problems.

I've updated my AVG, and did an update windows yesterday.

Today while I was doing something, my screen AOL flashed upwards (disconnected) but I thought nothing of it, until what I tried to get online this afternoon.

Now, while I'm connected to broadband including wireless router controls and I said that I have a strong connection, I get up then a message of not being able to get an internet connection when I actually try and connect. I don't know if it's AOL or the computer, but because I can get on AOL by using the computer, my parents, I guess to it that I don't see that I did something to stop this connection.

When you try to sign in to MSN messenger I'm also coming with a message that says that my DNS is unable to resolve my IP address. I don't know if that makes no sense?

I tried to rebuild my log in the location using the AOL software, but it makes all the difference.

If anyone has any suggestions as to what could happen, or better yet how to solve, I would be REALLY grateful.

    Thank you

    Kat

First of all, you must check if one of you firewall don t lock you internet connection.

In addition, you need access to network connections and in the LAN and WLan connection, you should check the general tab-> settings/properties of Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
All (IP, DNS, Getway, etc.) must be set to automatically obtain the address

Last but not least, it would be appropriate to delete your AOL profile and configure everything again.

    Good luck

  • Problems of internet connection of Bluetooth with Nokia 6680

    Hello

After a reinstall of Windows on my laptop Portege R200, I'm not able to install a new connection using the connection from the bluetooth stack Wizard more. This only happens for the express installation of the battery, I want to do for internet connection. Connect bluetooth to your mobile generally is working, as it is the Nokia PC Suite application. Re-install the software doesn't seem to work.

Test a little, I discovered the following:
-L' Connection Wizard (either automatically or manually) is not mobile and authentication works without problems as well. But after this step, an error message appears saying that the connection cannot be established
-If I use manual mode to create a connection error occurs after you choose the COM port
-At the manual installation: if I use some other than 40 COM-port, the error no longer appears and it continues with the installation of the modem
-Use of the program of COM Local Bluetooth to add a port, I get an error of creation of the port COM-40, too
-40 COM port is not used by another application

No idea what could cause this problem?

    Hello

Did you use the Bluetooth connection before the reinstallation of the Windows operating system?
    It was working properly?
Unfortunately I do not have a Bluetooth specification, but I recommend you to download the latest version of battery Bluetooth m.

  • Problem with internet connection Wi - Fi Windows XP - very 'slow' packages

Hi people, this problem has been driving me crazy for weeks, so I wonder if someone can provide a solution! Sorry for the long post, but I tried to put in as much information as possible.

In short, I decided to rebuild an old laptop in Windows XP (2006) I (latest updates installed). I'm without audio (cannot find drivers), but this isn't so much a problem. The problem needs to connect to the WiFi.

The internal WiFi card is an Intel (r) PRO/Wireless 2200BG (or, at least, it's the driver).

WiFi is displayed as 'Connected' and ' Signal strength: Excellent "(as my laptop is sitting right next to the hub). Ethernet (wired) connection to the hub works perfectly. I have WiFi BT working connects perfectly with my Mac and my iPod, I know that there is absolutely no problem with the router.

However, my laptop does not seem to want to connect WiFi, despite 'positive' messages above. All browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox) display a message stating that they cannot connect to the internet. Nothing in browsers suggest that all DNS settings have been changed.

I * think * the problem might be because the packets sent/received are still very low - if either enter three digits, I have a lot of luck. For now, they are stuck on envoys = 14, received = 3.

So, what I have checked/tried is the following (all based on Google search) - none have worked:

    (1) I can confirm that the automatic Wireless Configuration is enabled, started and set to automatic, and that Windows is used to set up my network.
    (2) my wireless network appears in my favorite networks and is automatically connected to (or should be :-)) - I have added/removed the connection several times, check the wireless key, every time, without success.)
    (3) the TCP/IP menu is configured to obtain an IP address and a DNS service automatically.
    (4) type ipconfig/all at the command prompt seems to show that everything works OK:

    • The physical address is: 00-16-xx-xx-xx-xx (I removed the last few digits as it is an open forum, but is probably not a security issue)
    • DHCP is enabled.
    • Automatic configuration is enabled.
    • The IP address is 192.xxx.x.xx (as above)
    • Subnet mask is 255.255.255.0
    • Default gateway, DHCP and DNS server are all the 192.xxx.x.xxx (as above)

However, IP routing is NOT enabled or is Proxy WINS. Node type appears as unknown.

I tried the DNS, IP address in the command line (don't remember the command), hot flashes reset everything I can think of or have found via an internet search.

I also tried the two separate Wireless USB key (only install the drivers - now deleted), which is not working.

I am so right in thinking that everything seems OK, except the transfer of packages very low? Anyone who has any other control I can try - or better yet, a potential solution?

    Thank you!

    Hello c0ley,

Have you tried to change the wireless channel that your router is running at? There may be interference that could prevent the internet connection:
Take a look at step 6 in this article that give more details about it:
If you need assistance to change the settings of the specific router, you will need to contact your router manufacturer or your internet service provider.

However, when I click on a show or a movie to watch, the netflix loading screen comes up, goes to 4% and that an error screen appears saying: «Internet connection, N8102-106 error code problem» I called Netflix and the mistake is not on their part. I also live in a dorm, where me and my roommate uses the same connection to the internet with the same administrative privileges and Netflix working on two of them. • Problem with internet connection 64-bit Windows Vista, unexplained intermittent failure.

original title: PROBLEM CONNECTING WINDOWS VISTA 64 BIT INTERNET - UNEXPLAINED INTERMITTENT OUTAGES

On HP a6542p PC with factory installed Windows Vista (64-bit), Vista operating system program does not take account of Internet broadband, which, in reality, a good connection.  for the first 2 years of operation, the PC internet connection worked well, but a year ago, he started this OFF intermittent / WE internet problem.  SOMETIMES, I can manage to temporarily restore the internet after running randomly across the machine diagnostic & installation programs available to the home screen, OR SOMETIMES also after running REGEDIT in the start (search) bar and watching the TCP/IP settings (do not change them, just watch), but the internet connection drops again after the machine is idle for a few minutes.  I get very tired of the exercise Dog & Pony to run through the different random procedures & hoping that something will work.  I tried the fix from Microsoft using a flashdrive D/L from the Windows site to my XP machine and tried a few manual corrections proposed on various websites, but nothing seems to work.  I have no HP manufacturer disk to reload the Vista operating system.  The connection is good, the cable is good, but Vista gives me contradictory information about the diagnosis, such as ERROR 815, and he tells me also a cable is disconnected (not true, the cable is plugged & good & works very well when the Vista connection is restored), while another diagnostic message indicates the internet connection is good, at the same time other messages say is not.   What can I do to fix this problem in Vista?  Personal e-mail is: * address email is removed from the privacy * -I will check that URL of Web site for the possible answer.    Thanks in advance.

Imrand - Thanks for the tip, I tried it & it didn't work.  However, I found an update of the HP driver for the network card Realtek in my machine, & after d/l this new driver, the problem seems to be fixed.  The Web connection is still good after several cycles of closing & reboot.  I'm not sure, because with this HP Vista PC, I can never be sure of anything, but I think the problem might be due to the rotating system off the NETWORK adapter in sleep mode, & so not put on when waking up.  Diagnostics messages confused and contradictory pages of different screen Windows were of NO use, it looks like the internet connection was good (which it was), while the other would be at the same time say there is no connection due to the disconnection of the cable, while the other at the same time say that the DNS server broadband couldn't recognize my internet query.  Total BS of Vista, which has compounded the problem than he was.  I only am not surprised Microsoft abandoned the Vista operating system so fast, so many other users of Vista have similar internet connection problems.  The user friendly and very stable XP operating system I have on an old PC of Insignia is my favorite.  Microsoft had to quit with it, IMO.

    Thanks for your help, Cimarron

  • Problem with internet connection and E2000

I was trying to figure out why my laptop and desktop computer were not in the same homegroup, pretty sure it just happened recently, after trying everything I could think of with Windows and nothing relevant on Google, so I decided to reset my router. Now my E2000 has a cable connecting a Verizon FIOS router (provided by coax) to it, which it probably complicates unnecessarily. I went and reset the router Verizon as well, and it does not solve my problem.

My E2000 is aware that there is a connection, but it cannot establish a connection to the internet. I tried to use Cisco Connect (the software from the CD) to fix the problem and that has not worked. Go in the settings of the router and restart it don't work, either.

When I bought this router, I plugged the cable coming from the Verizon router to the uplink port and using the router Wi - Fi better in my basement, but also direct connections significantly faster on my Playstation 3, Xbox360, office, etc. I did not have in place somehow out of what either the Cisco Connect software could have done, nothing fancy, just plugged and made sure everything was on my specific network for I can share via homegroup and have the media streaming.

Anyone have any ideas on what might have happened, or what I could do to get an internet connection?

The concept is similar to this article

Editing cascading (connecting) a Linksys router to another Linksys router

Since you already have a router in the form of the FIOS router, you will use the source of your DHCP, you must change the IP address of the router, then disable the DHCP.

    For example:

    FIOS 192.168.1.1

    E2000 192.168.1.2

Then, you must connect the cable to one of the ports of the FIOS on one of the ports numbered on the e2000. Let me know if you encounter any problems. But the article is pretty much step by step.

  • Problem with Internet connection - connect only after you turn off allowing then again.

It is a recent problem that unfortunately I have very little information on. In other words, after months be happy and connection to the internet when you start the computer has decided he won't d more, instead he wants to deactivate and then activate the connection to the local network before it will connect.

There is no error message and the convenience store could not find that something wrong then directed me here! I tried to diagnose too but didn't know what was wrong either. There are two computers connected through a router and the other is fine, ISP technical support assures me it's nothing to do with them either.

It left me speechless. I tried the system restore, I crossed the two diagnoses available in internet options and I called ISP support. Although this isn't a direct threatening problem, it's one of those little niggles you want just leave.

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix things, I'd be grateful.

    Hi tmaxwell83,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. do you have security software installed on the computer?

    3. What is the type of internet connection you use?

This would happen if the NIC driver is corrupt or needs to be updated.

I suggest that you install the updated drivers for the network adapter on the computer by visiting the network card or the computer manufacturer Web site, the check if it works fine.
