• Display a message to the user w / result of data

  Howdy,

  First off it is a mission of the College work and it's especially complete; seeking advice and the experience here.  The mission is to create a calculator with many functions for each method of arithmetic.  It was easy enough, but the next step is to display a message to the user after each calculation.  For example, if the problem was 4 + 2, the message must be "the result of the addition is: 6. the creation of the part of the message by using the Msg to display the user-defined function is simple, but it is not exactly struck home.  I want to create a message that contains the result of the problem (for example 6).  As it is now I can't do that with the function of Msg, or if it is possible I can not quite understand.  I want to have a separate message for each function, but I don't know if I can incorporate the response into the message.  It's the underlying objective; How to integrate the response in a message dialog box to the user? If it is possible what should I watch?

  The VI himself is quite simple; case of structure for each arithmetic function and a certain time for execution loop.  X and there are entries and a drop-down list to select a structure if necessary. I've attached a screen below.

  You can use the Message to display to the user to view any string to the user. If the key is to use the palette of the chain to manipulate strings to get the error message.

  A subpalette of the palette of the chain is the range of number/String Conversion. This can help you get your (6) value into a string format and then you can concatenate that string however wished with the message.

  With the pop-up windows, you must make sure that you're not trigger this popup with every single loop, so make sure you put a case around the pop-up structure and place the logic in there to make it work only the case of popup when the value changes.

• NSX design with cisco UCS/fabric interconnects and Nexus switches

  Hi Experts

  I am new to NSX design and deployment and working on a project. We deploy NSX for applications of level 4 (web, app, db, DC). I use logic, DLR, ESG and DFW switches. I next we intend to use roads static confusion..

  1. do we cover all the VLAN from the virtual to the physical environment? for example mgmt VLAN, level vlans(web,app,db), vxlan transport vlan or it should be only a VLAN specific?  which means would be I have set all the VLANS in environment NSX in my physical switching environment?

  2 vds? don't we create not only 1 vds initially during the deployment of vcenter or more? Should we take any special consideration while deploying to the deployment of the NSX?

  3 static routes - we configure static routes on the DLR and the GSS? Should I use the default routes upstream? on the physical router should we be routing all subnets from virtual environment to the GSS.

  4. where and who should create virtual machines? Via vCenter or before the deployment of the nsx NSX?

  5. we have a level of domain controller. Should it be part of 3 or separate applications with allow any any rule on DFW?

  (1) the VLANs which exist for physical Machines span the logical switch VXLAN NSX in the following cases:

  • If the current deployment there are physical Machines in the same Vlan and subnet IP with Virtual Machines. If this common Port Vlan group is migrated to a switch logic VXLAN Backed port group and not possible to change the IP addresses of the virtual machines, and then a bridge DLR (Distributed logical router) works as the conversion between Vlan physical and virtual VXLAN
  • If Conversion of P-to-V of the physical Machines continue on this Vlan

  VLAN which cover only the virtual machines or virtual local networks which cover only physical Machines must not be delayed.

  (2) for the deployment of the NSX, there may be more than 1 dVS or only 1 vDS according to the design. There may be another type of traffic other VXLAN base of virtual machines such as backup, storage, VMotion and the overall design, management, best practices apply here as well.  A requirement of the NSX is a common VDS that spans the entire Cluster. For each Cluster, this "common VDS' may be different. Yet once this VDS maybe a separate VDS dedicated VTEP or VTEP features functionality can be added to the existing VDS. It may be best to separate the VTEP vDS.

  (3) for the DLR, a default gateway is usually sufficient. If static routes are used, the GSS must then drive by default upstream and the static routes with the next hop of the DLR downstream for the subnets in the subnets IP VM logical switch. On the physical router static route to the VM, but also DLR - ESG logical subnets Subnet switch is required. Management of static routes is easier if route summarization is possible, or if necessary, close to the IP subnets, so it may be a good idea to use the dynamic routing such as Ospf or BGP protocol. There are also features of IP address management in Vrealize and other IPAM solutions if Automation is necessary for large and dynamic environments.

  (4) NSX has no functionality in the creation of the VM, it only creates Services network such as switches, routers, Firewalls, Load Balancing. The creation of the part VM continiues the same way as before. A point to note is maybe the logic is created appear as VXLAN named port groups on the VDS. NSX Manager creates groups of ports on the VDS, the only difference is that the name includes VXLAN. The virtual machine is like before added to this group of VXLAN Backed Port settings, or added to the logical switch from NSX Manager interface that appears again as a Plugin for VCenter. VCENTER is so point to create virtual machines and add these VMs to the logic is.

  (5) level of domain controller can be a separate layer, or other third party, may be preferable to upgrade separated except 3 applications. Usually, it's the same design without NSX. dFW rules can help protect the domain controller with allowing only ports of the virtual machine or physical Machines being admitted. dFW rules can apply to VXLAN based logical switches NSX so that VLAN based DVS Port groups because it's the kernel module.

  I noticed that in my value = "#{bean.selectedItem page}" of selectonemenu is always null when loading the page and because of that there is a difference in the initial value and the value sent as valuechangelistener is shot because of this difference, I don't want to happen. "
  
  I call the method to load the values into selectonemenu in the constructor of my bean.
  
  How can I make sure that the initial value is always the same as the value at the time of page load so that valuechangelistener would not fire unless the user changes the options in selectonemenu. Because of this problem I am facing a lot of issues like valuechangelistener is going to get fired.

  Yes, you will need to find a way to set the value before the creation of the part of the view. Generally, there are two ways. There are at least two ways, I tend to use:

  (1) loading deferred; you would get a Get accessor like this method:

  (2) initialize properties in a method annotated with @PostConstruct in your backing bean

  When you start the servers run on machines with 2, 3 or 4 I reference the address of the server administrator is

• How to hide the part of my page until my survey is submitted?

  I have a web page that has a poll on this subject.  When users send the survey, I want content on the page to show them the correct answers for the poll.  (They will vote on what they think a dog breeds).  It can be found at http://animalhospitalofkennewick.com/dna.php.  The survey is on the left.  The content to the right of the voting that begins with "Good Job!" needs to be hidden until they voted in the poll.  All this content is located in the "hidden" div  How can I do this?  I tried "display: none;" in CSS but then it never occurs later.  Help!

  I had another look at the site and now get a database error.

  To answer your question, I used the buttons as an example of how to trigger hide and show fuction. This trigger can be place d on a div or a link. In your case, you will place the trigger on everything that makes the answers to questions. This part, I still don't see because of the error messages. This is the piece of code that triggers the fuction

  onClick = "show () '"

  and can be placed anywhere. Instead of a click, the trigger can be a passage of the mouse, a mouseOur, an onChange (when a value has been changed) etc.

• You ask people to take part in a survey?

  This morning when I went to the Firefox help screen, I got a message box to the top of the page asking if I wanted to do a survey. I clicked on the words saying I'd do the survey and entered my email address in the box provided.

  It is now night and as no one has been in touch I'm afraid that it was a scam and that I might as well picked up some sort of infection.

  I did a full scan with Microsoft Security Essentials and nothing was found, but I'm still worried and would like to receive a response to my question regarding if it is a real investigation of Mozilla or a scam.

  You have not picked up something malicious, and I don't think that anyone is supposed to contact you. The results (AFAIK) are sent to developers or a team of Mozilla.

  However be warned that some (on the side of provider) e-mail servers convert e-mail to an attachment if they suspect that e-mail is a questionable spam.

  By converting it to an attachment it gives the user a chance to get rid of before opening the "Junk" on access to its system.

• Prevent the creation of Firefox crash dump

  We have firefox published on a small citrix farm, problem is the folder that actually hosts the dumps is random, so we cannot exclude when profiles are copied returned during user logoff. We are potentially copy back a significant amount of unnecessary data. Is there a way to stop the Firefox to create the first crash dump file? We have found ways to stop the part of the report, but not this dump file creation.

  as I understand it, if you set the variable MOZ_CRASHREPORTER_DISABLE as a result, no dump file should be created in the first place (although I've never tried myself).

  I don't see that as a real issue or problem.  The ability to create a recovery media is part of the purchase, and you do not have the ability to create a recovery media.

  Why don't you use the option of USB flash drive?

  The USB stick recovery is higher on the recovery DVD disc in a number of ways.

  (1) a usb flash drive are not damaged by just scratching the surface, unlike the DVD in a set of recovery disks. A scratch on the side of disc label #1 and the whole is unusable.

  (2) a recovery, when from a usb flash drive takes less than an hour, so that once made with one set of recovery disks can take up to four hours.

  (3) not all DVD media can be used to create a reliable recovery DVD media.

  (4) DVD media can be easily destroyed by heat, if you live in a region of the world where the temperature is normally high.

  (5) usb recovery media creation takes less than an hour, compared to the time it would take to make a recovery of the DVD disc.

• Need your advice on the creation of the image

  I am trying to create image of my partition c on Satellite A100-529 - no luck. Norton ghost freezes (started from the BACK) just after the start, could not load g4l (panic kernel), partimage, being a part of the CD SystemRescueCd package does not see the hd disc! Has anyone tried using any software creation/restore image other than the Toshiba Recovery CD? A bit of luck with it? Please let me know.

  Well, I've never used the ghost to create a partition and I put t know why it of not possible to create a. I use ghost only to create an image.
  But personally, I prefer the Image 8 Partitions. This is a very interesting tool and in my opinion the best for creating partitions.

• A more successful experience in the creation of UIs compositable configuration dialog boxes

  A few weeks I posted an experience in creating user interfaces using sub-panels transparent compositable. The approach can be described as, "It was less remarkable for being novel."

  Today, I write another attempt, this one along more traditional lines, and a lot more successful. Notable: this can be any arbitrary composition of this last AND it solved the problem of order TAB.

  This solution uses an image control and makes copies N of a control. When the user moves a control or move the mouse over the control, a real control slides in this position to be able to catch the events (updated mouse more attract State, highlight to the keyboard focus, manage typing, etc.). If the value changes, a master data table is updated and the image control is updated.

  It is something that has been tried in various forms in the past, but there are two aspects of this particular implementation that make nice:

  1. its programming interface for specifying the behavior of objects should make it fairly easy for a user of the framework generate dialog boxes programmatically
  
  
  2. It handles the problem of TAB without flickering, something I've not seen in other attempts

  This idea creates conversation about previous experience - thanks to those of you who have posted on various forums, e-mail me, or, in some cases, showed up at my office. That last is not something I am encouraging unless you work at OR... just saying. :-)

  Now, this experiement has already donnГ an interesting conversation. We note that, as long as the controls are instantiated independently of each other - in other words, any property of a control depends on the property of another control - this system of dialogue is progressing well. But in this experiment, I implemented the option button, which interact with each other - when set to True, the other false go. As soon as the controls are starting to interact with others (such as aging a control when a checkbox is disabled, or with expandable sections or really complex cases like updating a chart as a change in options, as happens in some config dialogs Express VI) then we leave who need ways to make reference to other controls. That leads us quickly in one of two directions: name the controls or creation of references. The naming approach is certainly my preference because it fits better with the data stream and I can make interesting effects with breaking apart some of the tree. But it quickly starts sounding like "Please implement a XAML parser in LabVIEW." For those of you familiar with XAML, in the world of user interface design, it could very well be the best thing since sliced bread. A XAML string would fit well with the data flow, and we could start that accumulate. I am reluctant to go down this road for two reasons. One, many have noted, it is really not a good library written in LabVIEW that can give me a useful analysis of XML DOM tree. Two, it is a huge project and my gut sense is that you need to fill a pretty big part of it before you would start to see any return on investment. But it is worth thinking to-I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time. This code I posted today can at least help you get started on the side of the generation if one of you decides to become laborious.

  I'll have my attention away from this project for the time being, coding in G is a lot of fun, and I wish I could spend several days to do, but this has been a side project and it is time to return to my projects assigned in the programming of text. Building a powerful platform for the automatic generation of user interface in LabVIEW would be really useful - I see a lot of requests for this sort of thing, and other languages are ahead of us in this area.

• Unable to access the Ultiboard of Multisim part prints Assistant

  I have re-installed the design of circuits Suite on a new PC (I got active v10.1.372 on the old PC), I have 10.1 on the new PC. I made an EWPRJ file with all made previously. I added each party, through selection, to the Ultiboard database. When you try to bind the new parts of Multisim to prints of not in the Ultiboard database, the prints do not appear for selection. Is there a work around?

  Hi Tod,

  I have a solution for you. During the creation of components, choose a comparable space in the master database. When you transfer the design to Ultiboard, you can select the form and go to tools-> change the shape. This will allow you to choose the correct form.
