Creator information VM in vCloud

I was asked by a customer to our clients, but I have no knowledge in programming or have I could find the answer online. Does anyone know if you can extract information about the person, the creator is a computer virtual via the API and if so, how?

Sorry to be vague but this is a topic that I don't know much about at all, I would like to know if I can add details.

See you soon,.

Creator is not registered.  Owner is.

On creation, owner = creator.

However, you can update owner.

You might be able to check the audit events to see who originally created, which is in the vCloud Database in Audit_Event.  you'd look the VAPP create the event, and then see the user who created it.

The problem is a system administrator (all system administrators) will be displayed as 'System '.

  • Obtain records of storage of data via API

    Hello

I would like to get information from disk for each virtual computer as administrator (System) through the vCloud API. What I'm after, is to see what type of data store, each disk of the virtual machine is created on (for example, gold, silver, Bronze...).

I tried to retrieve this information by using the following API GET, but none of them gives the information I'm after:

    query? type = datastore

    set < org_id >

    /VDC/ < vdc_id >

    / vApp/VAPP - < vapp_id >/virtualHardwareSection/discs

    disks/virtualHardwareSection/vm - < vm_id > /vApp.

    / admin, extension, vApps, Query? type = vm & pageSize = 128

/ admin, extension, datastores, Query? pageSize = 128

I see that Chargeback has this information in the database of chargeback. But this information seems to be inconsistent and I want to capture vcloud myself. So I guess there is a way to do it.

Someone at - it have the slightest idea about this?

    Best regards

Chargeback unifies information provided by vCloud and vCenter.  I do not think that vCloud Director offers the store of data directly from the API, just what profile storage, the virtual machine is attached to.  Chargeback takes data from vCD and then references to vCenter for "more information" for the purposes of billing.

If you want just the profile, you check at the virtual machine level, and directly query the VM.  Don't bother with the list of the query service data store.

based on logical vCloud, if a virtual machine is assigned to a specific profile... all this virtual machine disks should be on awarded of such profile data warehouses.

  • Tecra R840-109 - alert HDD - unable to get disk information

I turned on my Toshiba Tecra R840-109 and everything looks that the factory settings have been restored, but I still have my files on the hard disk in the users folder (where the system has also built a temporary user I'm connected now, I guess).

At the opening, the computer asked me to do the things you do when you get a new computer (for example accept the license, install browsers, register fingerprints, if applicable etc.). In addition, it showed an error, alert HDD/SDD saying "Could not get the information from the disk, cannot use the alert function".

Is there a way to solve this problem, that is, to apply the previous (original) user?

An obvious solution would probably be to restore the system, but I don't have a backup set to the top (which I will fix as soon as this problem will be solved). Tried to reboot, nothing has changed.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Hello

To be honest situation described sounds pretty confusing and not logical for me.
If you do not have recovery (DVD or USB) media create using preinstalled Toshiba recovery media creator tool.
After this use this bootable media and reinstalling the recovery image so you will have 'presets' again. After the installation of clean operating system, it is not possible to have the old data stored on the HARD drive, not on the C partition.
The fact is that before the installation of recovery begins any HARD drive will be deleted and formatted.

Sorry if I got you. If you have any concrete and clear questions do not hesitate to ask.

  • NB200 - Recovery Media Creator and drive HARD USB

I just bought a white NB200 and noticed that it does not come with a DVD of Windows 7 in case I ever need to install.
I was informed by the seller in the store I could save a copy on a USB key using a recovery disc writing.
I assume that "Recovery Media Creator" is the best way to do it.

I booted up and it said that it will be 6.7 GB. I don't have a USB this size, but have a portable hard drive (250 gb) with 120 GB to spare.
Even though I can view the drive in Windows Explorer / workstation, the program of recovery media says ' Please insert a USB drive with greater than 6.7 GB memory ', whenever I click on the create"" button.

    If anyone can help?

    Hello

I doubt that you can use the USB HDD to create a recovery disk image.
The Toshiba recovery disc creator has been designed in order to create a bootable recovery disk!
It has not been designed for sure the image of Toshiba on the HARD drive!

So if you want to use the Toshiba recovery disc creator then you must buy a USB CD/DVD drive that can burn the recovery image on a DVD

Usually the application should be removed and installed again, but how to do that with your laptop if this application is not available for download.
In my opinion, you must remove the system und use well-known application like Nero. If you want to create audio CDs, you can also try with Windows Media Player. Yesterday, I created audio CD's for my car using WMP. It works perfectly.

By the way: you only have this problem with CD audio?

  • Just bought Satellite C660 and need some information please

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite C660 1 t 1 and have some important questions, I would like to meet you please. I have looked for answers, but could find nothing specific.

The first question I have is that when I turned on my new laptop and installed Windows 7, I noticed he had partitioned my hard drive to 500 GB in two for a 232 GB C: Windows and a 232 GB data D:
I was wondering if there was a setting that I had missed during my first installation of Windows 7 where I could change the size of the partition? As on a previous Samsung Netbook, I could choose how much space I wanted to a backup disk, but does not remember seeing a similar option on the Toshiba startup options? If someone could confirm it please that you can't change the size of the partition to installation of commissioning, it would be a relief, because I am worried, it was my fault the score is so great.

The second I have is that when the driver updates are released to update my driver graphics and any other material, which is the best piece of software Toshiba I should use to find and update the material? As there seems to be a lot of them pre-installed and they seem to all updated software?

The third question is: are there specific pieces of software toshiba which should start up when I start my PC? As I will try to stop programs unimportant all begin when starting my new laptop until reduced startup time.

Finally (sorry for so many questions) someone could explain to me why its so important to create a "recovery disc" and why it seems that I must do this as soon as possible? I'm really not at all, or the importance to create one as soon as you get your new laptop.

Thank you very much for all the help that I tried to find answers to these questions and noticed that everyone on these forums seems to be very competent and friendly :)

Aaron Hello and welcome to Toshiba support forum

At first, I must say that you are doing very good. It is best to ask first before you start to experiment and screw something up. A lot of people changing all implement and later wonder why some software stuff don t work anymore.

I have a little experience with Toshiba and will try to help you. So let's go.
    > I was wondering if there was a setting that I had missed during my first installation of Windows 7 where I could change the size of the partition?
When you start a laptop for the first time be preinstalled recovery image will install and you will have a laptop with factory settings. This HARD drive partitions are standard. After the first start the most important is to create recovery DVDs. After having done that, you can do with your computer laptop all you want. You can delete the partitions. Change the ability scores, install OS clean, but you will be able to install the original Toshiba recovery image using this disc. It is very important.

Of course, you can install os using HDD Recovery mode - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm
In general, you can change the structure of the partitions but it may happen that there will be problems to start HARD drive recovery after doing this, but if you create recovery DVDs there is no problem for you.

    > The second I have, is that when the driver updates...
In General, you should not install updates, especially not for Toshiba tools and utilities. My advice to you is: don change well equipped with operating system. What can you possibly update is display driver, but please use driver Toshiba only.

    > are there specific pieces of software Toshiba which should start up when I start my PC?
Much preinstalled stuff slow startup and notebooks in general performance. So that you can disable some startup applications (MSCONFIG > startup) or even to remove them from the system. For example, you can remove Tempro, information tool product Toshiba, remove an application preinstalled antivirus and install something better like Avira Antivir. At startup, you can turn off the zooming utility, application, Adobe Reader, Google update, check laptop Toshiba webcam and so on. I turn off even more things and leave just more important tools.

    > could someone explain to me why its so important to create a "recovery disc" and why it seems that I must do this as soon as possible?
I hope that I have answered this already, but here is the content of the Toshiba Recovery callback:

    * Important INFORMATION *.

    * your system is equipped with a hard drive recovery system. If you need to repair your computer in the restaurant to the original factory condition, you can do it directly on the hard disk (press F8 when you start your computer, choose "Repair your computer" and follow the instructions in the menu) or create a bootable recovery for this fin.* drive carrier

    * Toshiba recommends you create recovery disk medium using the "Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator' to ensure that you are able to restore your computer to the original state that is installed at the factory, even if your computer is severely damaged.*

If you have any other questions you are welcome.

  • Re: Toshiba Recovery Media Creator - no HDD Recovery area

Hi friends, I bought a new Toshiba Kirabook PSU8SA-00V00U, a few months ago. I wanted to create emergency recovery disks, but whenever I start Toshiba Recovery Media Creator, it comes with a message that HARD drive recovery area undetected.

Then I tried running the recovery environment by pressing 0 at the beginning upward.
It comes with a blue screen saying that can not load from the recovery partition.

I checked with Paragon Hard Disk Partition Manager software that the recovery drive is available.

How do I make a recovery media or connect this HDD in system recovery so that Toshiba Recovery Media Creator detects the recovery disk and made recovery media. If in the future, if I want to reset the PC to factory settings, it will be even coming up with a blue screen saying that it can not load the recovery environment.

    Any help will be appreciated!

    Hello

Fact is that the installation of image recovery or recovery media creation works if the machine has only factory settings. In other words, everything must be in original condition without any changes. With the changes I mean, original OS must be installed and the structure of the partitions of HARD drive should not be changed.

If you try to change HARD drive partitions original structure the system in general, or Toshiba recovery media creator, will be confused and will not be able to find what we call markers which provide information on the exact location on the HARD disk where the recovery image is placed or registered.

Did you do something that might be responsible for this situation?

    Hello

Your laptop belongs to the Toshiba US series.
I'm not very well if the Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator software would be preinstalled on the US m laptop models.

My laptop Toshiba European knowledge have a preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator, which allows you to create a recovery disk.

In any case, you should read your owner's manual for more information, maybe you'll have to use other software or any other method
